Emma is a well established shirtmaker/designer with her shop situated on Jermyn Street where she greets customers from all around the world, providing that unique and bespoke service to get the personalised fit. She also designs and creates ready to wear shirts so she if a good authority on this subject.
she gives us an explanation of the best fabric to go for and why she recommends Egyptian Cotton Giza which is a 2 fold 100 cotton in your shirts.

That was a great conversation. Ms. Willis is charming and pleasant. The proper fit is quite complicated and important as for how well the shirt functions while we move about. The collar is just as important; how well the collar fits inside the jacket and how it frames one's face. Some say its just a shirt, but is a very important part of an ensemble.
Hi Arthur, glad you enjoyed the video and you are so right about the fit and cut of a shirt, the importance of a well constructed shirt is the foundation of the overall look of an ensemble. It can be difficult to achieve sometimes with ready to wear shirts, as explained in the video 👍🙂 had you thought about bespoke shirts or do you wear bespoke shirts?
@@TheBritishDapper I have several made to measure shirts but no bespoke. There certainly is a difference in the quality of materials and fit compared to most ready to wear shirts. Store bought shirts either have a collar that I like but do not have the fit I am looking for (not too tight or too loose), or vice versa. Thank you for the content you provide.
