Quick Correction on Build here: The point in Serrated Blade was meant to be in Agile Engagement. I fudged their spots in the tree while autopilot mashing talent points in while soul crushed from the prior video on Zealot and the team's 20 death run.
Rannick confirmed: Grendyl's a freak. Weapon Specialist Double Barrel with Flechette and Manstopper is just too fun in dense mixed hordes. Also I find it funny this happened more or less the game *after* the most uphill run I've had which was the previous video.
Honestly a brainfart autopilot at late night since I was drained from the run in the prior video having to clutch through a 20 death torture fest on Gloriana. Agile Engagement would make this even stronger than it already is so that's a minor mix up on my part, thanks for noticing it so I can add a note on that.
Personally find them effective especially against range units like gunners and shotgunners can't see through smoke and are forced to go melee which is at their weakest. Not a lot of people know this it seems. Also helpful when someone gets gunned down in the open and no one in the team has any ability to cover them
@@glimmerxp not quite sure, but I wanted to do as much as possible against dreg ragers on a single shot crit to hopefully one shot at further distances since I find them more annoying than scab ragers. (And buff the bleed tick from said crit to help ensure a kill if it wasn’t a one shot)
Eh, Psyker can do the same thing if not faster with the reload speed on peril talent along with the Both Barrels blessing especially on a Scrier's build like I've done before. (near instantaneous 2 shot reload) Zealot might not reload as fast but its 25% close ranged damage talent along with any of its keystones to buff the Double Barrel whether via crit or flat damage makes it a close competitor. But tbh, game's currently in a state especially with Weapon Mastery where there's so much player power creep that a 4man that decently knows what they're doing will see most situations as easy mode if all 4 are high damage spec'd and don't get hit when avoidable.
@@Vamp0613true that, but then get paired with new players that don't understand how to make a good build on a HISTIG mission and it's almost as if the power creep doesn't exist at all.
@@loafofbread9400 I wouldn't run this universally in a quickplay scenario where rng map selection is in place. However, for Chasm Logistratum in particular where there's enough tight chokepoints with narrow corridors and cover then Weapon Specialist just turns Vet into a mixed horde deleter when paired with melee and ranged weapons that complement each other with WS's strengths.
@@Vamp0613 my problem with quickplay even in auric maelstorms is soon as i run a kit that involves something like the double barrel suddendly everyone i get matched with struggle to kill carapace and long ranged threats so i end up never running anything like it
In this build at least, with the Stealth and Thread reduction talent you can do Loner Zealot things without having to worry about mobs instantly turning around after one single alpha strike along with the smokes to force shooter movement. Granted you'd have to drop a few points to get grenade regen for it, but again I wouldn't run this at all for quickplay.

What if instead of the Inquisition, it was the Freakquisition, and instead of killing heretics they instead browsed the Tau subreddit

What's the purpose of running melee bleed over agile engagement? Break points? Or Synergy with shotgun?

I honestly still have no real idea if Smokes are valuable or not. Seems like there are just so few moments they come in.
They're borderline useless if you're a moderately skilled player. They're entirely worthless if you're a skilled player.

What's the shotgun skin?
👍👏👏👏.
11:55 should go in one of those compilations of "oddly soothing" videos. it's so zen.

The shotgun reloads 1 round on every weapon switch? Veteran is dartide on easy mode haha

That shotgun just ain't it. i don't like it personally
Not a fan of it all, seems so inflexible, any gun that lets you kill specials on demand from any situation is king

@@loafofbread9400yup, always best to run as a jack of all trades for quickplay, expect to deal with all threats.
