Juan in a million is one of my favorites in Austin! The breakfast is fantastic😋 I haven't been since 2016, i need to drive down to Austin it's been way to long
If you like those tacos then do an episode on fiesta restaurant in Roma, TX....now those tacos are amazing, with their very own homemade flour tortillas that are delicious and melt in your mouth on every bite
Ever places have to get there start, but with what was going on at the time, they stayed, for the long run,and know still there doing what they do best cook great food that everyone loves.
I used to work in an old town that was affluent in So. Cal. they had one very nice high school, then there was new growth so they built the second high school, the first high school went from99% white to 100% Mexican, the newer high school is 100% white. My friend had to be bused to the new high school. I called him Juan To Many.
Should have interviewed more real OG Eastsiders instead of those gringos…oh wait there wasn’t much inside there.. lol😅 in all fairness I used to get the don juan taco but I ordered 2 corn tortillas on the side because those flour ones weren’t doing it for a 4th generation central Texan like me .. sincerely a real 78702 east sider
Record stock market at the moment + inflation down below 6.50% for the first time since 2021. Job market is crankin' ! (Don't piss on my boots, then tell me it's raining...) 💦
Like most of the crappy Tex-Mex in Austin: greasy, cheesy, tasteless junkfood. I came to Austin for graduate school after living in Guadalajara, Mexico for ten years where I discovered REAL Mexican food and was greeted in Austin with this blasfemy called Tex-Mex at this place and another one called Mi Madre...No gracias.😂😂
Real texmex is not blasphemy it's from San Antonio and is a creation of native foods and canary islanders spices not Mexican while I agree Austin food is crap . Comino , black pepper and garlic are the texmex trio
The Canary Islands have nothing to do with Tex-Mex. Its nothing more than a commercial bastardization of Mexican food to suit the tastes of the American palate...hence Tex-Mex. Perhaps it should just be called Texan.
@@uliseszarate6561 That's not what I meant. I meant that they are Tex-Mex restaurants and market themselves as such. They don't claim to sell authentic Mexican food so you shouldn't get upset that you don't get that.
I used to go there at least 2x per week. Great Migas, great salsa, and the Taco Grande.
Juan had the Best Handshake in Texas.
@@craigluhr7243 Yeah! He would give you a big hug and a hard high five ✋He was always at the counter waiting for you 😄

Ima have to make my way there one of these days
Man dont listen to the hate. Go get you some!!! The bust down is real
"It comes with 2 or 3 more tortillas to make more tortillas". Hhahahaha
Their tacos are huge and amazing
How did you not mention their carne guisada tacos? It's been over 20 years since I've been there, but I still remember how good they were!
I just ate there a week ago I love Juan in a million
The big Juan is huge…so great if you’re really hungry but isn’t their best taco.
When I went they had a handwritten note on the door that said $5 mimosas. It was a rough neighborhood last time I was there.
SOME OF THE BEST EVER! ESPECIALLY AFTER A LONG NIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF I35!
Ever places have to get there start, but with what was going on at the time, they stayed, for the long run,and know still there doing what they do best cook great food that everyone loves.
Throw some cheese and call it Tex Mex. 😅
It's Allright,no biggie
Good day to all. Y E S!
Go to Green Cross ATX next door for quality Bud!!
I’ve lived in Austin for 14 years I have never been here! Looks amazing! Hows the parking.
Austin is ruined, no parking anywhere. Plan on an Uber drop off or snag ya one of them electric scooters littering the streets to get there.🤠👍
Juan has a fair amount of parking. I eat here frequently and can usually find a place in their lots. If not, the streets have some spaces.
Jusn in a Million is a small restaurant but they do serve the best food
another awesome episode thanks again Shane and TBL.🌮🌯🫔🇺🇲
Are those homemade tortillas or store-bought tortillas?
Store bought ,it's allright
Looks good but it’s something to share between two people, otherwise it would be a waste of food.
Its called a to go box Steve.😂😂😂
Check out Casa Morenos
Those tacos / food sucks. Got the BGs while I was eating. Smmfh. BGs " Bubble Guts" 😂😆😆
Take care of yourself
Gringo tortillas. Nothing like the RGV, TX
Aha, did San Antonio weigh in yet? 😂
Fk RGV and SA. Stick with yer churros.
Just ask Worldwide Pest Control in 2002 -2009!!!

Their tortillas SUCK. If you're from the RGV or San Antonio, don't try these!
I agree, overrated place.
I call it “Austin” good Tex-mex. But I’m not taking my out of town friends from SA there.
Yeah they look like shit
Anything Tex mex on Austin sucks
HEB tortillas probably

All the real OG Eastsiders are at Joe's Bakery.
@ at least once every two weeks homeboy!
Suizas way better then that taco
Annoyed by anyone that says "in this economy" 0:45 it's like the popular thing to say. The GDP has increased almost 3% in 2024. Stop it people.
Record stock market at the moment + inflation down below 6.50% for the first time since 2021. Job market is crankin' ! (Don't piss on my boots, then tell me it's raining...) 💦
Great the economy is doing well but COLA is up and wages are staying the same. Especially in Austin here businesses still think it's a sleepy town.
People say the economy is bad but they really just mean prices are up. Our economy is actually doing great, but people don't understand this.
Great. Maybe in 5 years, it'll be back to where it was 35 years ago.

Don't go to a Tex-Mex place expecting real Mexican food. That's not what they're selling.
@Guerita72 You're absolutely right but they market it as some kind of Mexican...WRONG! 😄

juan is over rated only 4.5 stars not the best in Austin there is much better you can try
