      I appreciate that, thank you! I watched your ALU vids and that helped in my decision to get into the ecosystem

    Green Shirt, Green Addams Family Pinball, Green is my Fav Color. I def am digging this ALP 4K and I have 2 ALP's already. Atgames is discounting the shipping, I paid 130 for my Shipping on my first ALP. I love them both and I am in for this 4K, its a great price, shipping is $100. Your mistaken on the price, the deposit takes off the 1099 plus 100 Shipping. The OG had 22 Tables and they aren't as good as the deluxe tables on ALP 4K offering, I am sure Atgames wants to make money on software and accessories as they are probably not making a ton on this outta the gate, thanks for covering it.

      I'm pretty sure I said a 200 deposit. I think regular people know like with any kind of deposit that it comes off of the final price. There's no need for me to fix anything on the video (it's also why I showed the website for reference)

      @@MikeOfAllTrades Are you preordering this one Moat? I like the IP or would you rather wait for something else? I edited my comment to reflect my rewatch, bottom line if you want Addams Family order first wave or wait for different IP.

      @carlo1132 the 1099 is tempting so I might jump out the window. I've said before that I'm interested. It's the skin for me but we'll see how I feel on Thursday by the time shill & Chill comes up

    I’m sure it’ll be a great product but this aggressive penalty pricing strategy will backfire on them. Not revealing any of the other cabinet skins is going to bite them too because people will just hold off buying Addams Family for fear of maybe wanting the next skin more.

      I think that it's part of the marketing strategy to provide the consumers with FOMO so that they'll jump out of the window tbh

    I have the micro ALP and love it. I have a computer hooked up with all the Zen tables through the Pinball Pass. I am torn whether to actually the mew 4K for the tables. It depends on how it will integrated and which tables will be available.

      Idk if you've watched the Wagner's Tech Talk series with him covering the ALP 4k but I think a lot of your questions might be answered there

      @@MikeOfAllTrades I am not sure how I missed that one. Thanks. I would love to know when the tables are going to be released. I would assume they are going to be released in waves. I am pretty much sold on the 4K, but my wife may need a little convincing ...

    While the price is really looking good for the early pre order, I am just not that big of a fan of Adams family. I already have an ALP with all the tables purchased, so I am not too eager to purchase them all again, along with the added cost of the new Zen tables. It would have been nice and very consumer friendly for AtGames to just be transparent with all the future themes and release dates from the start, but I guess they have concerns on limiting sales on this release if they did. I am going to wait to see what the other themed editions will be announced. Maybe they will give some kind of pre order discount towards those, or I am sure there will be NOD discounts in the future. On another note but in the same vein, it would also be really amazing if the ALU4k would come in different cabinet style variants (80s style, 90s style, Candy Cab, Viewlix/Chewlix, etc). That would definitely get me to purchase another arcade cab from them.

    When A1Up stopped the new products and releases, not to mention, they probably stopped paying rights fees, that opened the contractual door for AtGames.

  • @rushmore3927
    @rushmore3927 9 месяцев назад

    Leaning on getting one, but I was wondering if the generic version might be the way.... Betting Sam's sells them for $1,200. Wouldn't it be ironic if they offer those and Sam's gets them, before people get their Adam's Family preorders? A1Up territory there 😂 That presumes they can produce that many. Generics might be Spring 24. Added: If they plan on doing 15 of these AND the generics over the next few years, they must have increased capacity.

    • @MikeOfAllTrades
      @MikeOfAllTrades  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah, that storage capacity is ridiculous. Guess they figured that people would just otg or use flash drives. Maybe Addams Family is the litmus test for this product....just don't make anymore mini pinball products lol

    All things considered.... I don't get the impression that At Games has exclusive rights to Zen Stuidos just yet.
    This sounds like A1up's Exclusive Relationship became an Open Relationship. If Zen Studios and their Content is what sells, Chances are At Games and A1up are now in a Arms Race of whom can produce and offer the Best Experience to access the same Source of Content.
    Exclusivity sounds like it's around the Corner, and it will depend on wether A1up decides to even get back in the Pinball Game, or if At Games Blows out whatever Effort A1up musters.
    I believe based on how everyone words conversation regarding At Games that they had a lot to Prove.
    Now in 2023 we are now looking back at AT-Games knowing their growth and the landscape they are in, in regards to what everyone one of these companies has released, in Conjunction with how th habits of the people have played out.
    So I see Zen Studios betting on both, and letting Competition decide where they will invest Exclusive Rights.
    It's really a Total Win Scenario for Zen Studios. They would be Covered on All Angles, and the Consumer will simply decide the best offer and stick to it.

    My favorite part of being in the home arcade community is realizing I spent over 15k for my game room since 2021 and it’s already outdated thanks to the amount of newer versions being released across the board. I’m almost embarrassed to do game room tours in fear of comments being made about my archaic arcade 😂

    Arcade1Up said a full year ago that they were done with pinball, so this is barely news... Zen was probably long gone months ago. I mean, sure it's great for AtGames, but the ALP4K is overhyped... the 10 stock games look like crap, and there's no way it'll run full 4K at decent framerates. They're asking people to pay a LOT for a mediocre IP and a product that hasn't been tested by anyone. The content creator frenzy around this should really chill for a minute.

    • @MikeOfAllTrades
      @MikeOfAllTrades  9 месяцев назад

      Idk if it's necessarily a frenzy but since I know a lot of people who watch my stuff don't actually subscribe and follow everyone, I put out my video to give an opinion/view on what's going on.
      It's a can't win situation either way. It's I put a video out and then people get mad because I didn't race to the clock and be first or I do what I usually do and not say anything then people get mad about that.
      This is part of the reason why there's MAYBE 1 video a month about home arcade on the channel because there are a lot of people covering it. That being said, I can't control how many people put out content, only what I do.

    Atgames has partnered with the devil as far as I am concerned. Zen removes tables and does not include those in the next update, so reasonably you are renting titles instead of buying them in real terms. The second thing is not being able to transfer tables you have already brought on steam etc, they want you to buy all over again, which is bad for the consumer. You have limited storage space on the ALP at 64 gigs and 4K tables? While advertising over 100 plus tables, so you have to use dodgy USB sticks to download tables and even then you will run out of room, or maybe the stick corrupts. I have a sneaky feeling that Zen might buy Atgames in the future and take over the whole pinball market. Please don't get me wrong but having IP such as this is brilliant, it is better artwork and not as busy as the OG. Sadly though with them saying other IP's will be available in the future but limited to 5,000 units is shooting themselves in the foot, because the World is a big place but they are just thinking about the USA market. I love the Adams family, but I would much sooner have a Star Wars table than AF, but the chances are I will never get the chance to own that. However, you yanks moan about prices, here in the UK we only have one stockist and the chances are we will have to pay close to $2,000 and we will be waiting until 2050 before they land in the UK. I think that they have stopped the Arcade 4K to concentrate on the pinball as no news of that as yet, so obviously Zen have said to jump and AT have said how high Master. Oh and to end on this note, on Steam they will do sales, but I cannot see them having sales on a dedicated pinball cabinet because they have a captive audience, so expect to pay higher prices. $5 on steam and $10 on the ALP. We are going to be well ripped off.

      There is a lot to unpack here, so let me start by saying thank you for being the first person to call me a yank. That's awesome. Now everything else, I agree with you on. It's commonplace for companies to pull licenses when they run out, which is why they always have that EULA when you purchase a game or dlc. It sucks but they put that stuff in the fine print. That being said, they are money hungry for not letting you transfer your current tables. Maybe it's because they're two different ecosystems, but regardless there needs to be an option for a one-time code or something of the latter. Now to the idea of Zen buying AtGames... that's actually intriguing. If you see a video on this, I'll credit you lol
