Saw this book at a Barnes & Noble recently, was so happy to see it in front of me. As a psychologist, it's truly heartwarming to see people embrace their roles as parents; it's needed more and more as the years go by. Amazing work, Ryan. Keep it up 💯
As someone who wrote a book with the same editor as Ryan's first, and which didn't do as well as I'd hoped, I can't tell you how much I appreciated the part of this conversation about how we define success and impact. Thank you.
This was beyond impactful for me. 2 brilliant, unique minds having a conversation about life, parenting, & modern life. I’d love a podcast or some other collab w you 2! Thank you both for contributing your perspectives to the world & my hubs is definitely getting this book! 😉
Yeah I am in bed by 8:30PM and wake up at 4:30AM. Those early morning hours are my most productive and there is something satisfying about getting a lot accomplished before most people have even gotten out of bed.
Audio is terrible. Really terrible. But I was able to get through it just because this conversation is so good. Two very interesting human beings having a deep chat.
Good conversation, thank you. But the title is wrong, you didn't actually talk about purpose. It's more about parenting. Sure, it can be a purpose, but still it's different from the title.
I really dislike the way your editing software really strangely tried to mute out the crowd when they cheered. Just a friendly note. Otherwise great video. I love that you came together with @thedailystoic
Haven't seen Mr Casey Neistat in ages. I believe he was very popular in 2014 to 2017 or so. I remember him skateboarding on the streets. Freestyle version, I must say.
@@CoLiMuSxCame here to say this. The dude made such an impassioned video about why he hated Donald Trump, he actually thought Clinton would do any better. After that, I never saw another video from the guy until literally right now.
How many were uncomfortable with Casey dropping f-bombs with a microphone in a Barnes and Noble that no doubt has children nearby. The greater your ego the less you are aware of your surroundings. I'm guessing there might be a stoic who said that at some point.
But you don’t pay for the video content and you get some useful information that reaches millions. Ryan said that’s worth more than anybody buying the books themselves. He just wants to help people and the books pay for that.
One thing I really don’t understand with this man and his spreading of stoicism, is why the sponsors? Why the need of making people want more when nature tells us to be pleased with stop chasing for more? To strive to not slave for others. The meaning of the whole strides against philosophy when someone pushes sponsoring up in your face. Hypocrisy.

Sometimes we forget that Casey is just a different level when it comes to storytelling

Dam check your audio before you start an interview. Specially when Casey is in the house!

This is an amazing collaboration between 2 people I admire!
The email list is amazinggg
What an inspiring duet! I'm loving this.

Thank you both, a combination I never could have imagined to deliver a critical message. I get it and will apply in my life starting now.
Casey's haircut makes me think of Roger Klotz, the bully from the '90s kids cartoon "Doug" and now I can't get it out of my head.
The duo I didn’t know I needed.
This was amazing to see in person! For everyone looking to see my experience, I have the entire vlog on my channel!
Thanks for sharing this talk. Inspiring and deep. Looking forward to picking up Daily dad!

L-theanine is fantastic. What's NAC?
Great talk but the audio is quite distracting with their shifting and moving getting picked up by the mic, especially in the second half

This is amazing!
Great meditation to start the day=]
shoutout Becky Hammon who won the championship last year and on the brink this year was also a Popovich disciple
Two cool guys talking about how cool they are. Fun times!

Why does he have sunglasses on?
What's up with his feets?
He claims that its his signature look but most know it's because the glasses cover up his face.
If you saw him without glasses, you wouldn't ask.
Security blanket. Ain't no thang.

His career died after he said he was voting for Hillary Clinton 😂

Audio is too bad to listen :/

How do you know there were kids rhere
@@chillie000common sense. You should try it.
He mentions in the video that there weren't that many kids there.
ur out of ur mind chatimus
The Daily Stoic RUclips channel is just an ad agency for Ryan’s books ;)

Yep, and I wish more folks would market that way. 👍
XDDD i knew it from begining. Its not about stoicism its about money. Im not even suprised

I can't listen to anybody with that haircut that wears sunglasses indoors.
I welcome you to look beyond that. Casey does incredible work and has great insights. He also strikes me as quite humble and genuine.
That’s like saying you can’t see someone because of how they sound 😂
@@CrookDanny No. It's like saying I can't watch someone because of how they sound. I see what you're going for here, but it doesn't really work.

He was a big Hillary Clinton supporter. Somewhat of a tool if you ask me.

Hypocrisy.
What sponsors?
Ryan, your guest dropped the "F" bomb and several other epitets not children friendly.
