Hi, by any chance can you publish what color of the wiries should go where? I have a df64 gen2, and I've accidentally removed wrong white cap, but my wires color are completely different from what is on the video.
From power plug brown, blue and yellow-green (striped, and that is ground) wire goes (it seems in your video it is black, white and sea-green, sea green is ground), button have same as yours red and black wires, then black and red goes into the small black box (ion generator), but then I have blue, yellow and red wires (on a video it seems that you have black, white and red as far as I can see) that goes inside the grinder (on the video it is ). And it was my bad that I forgot to take a photo of that...
Would be actually helpful to get some simplified schematics for something which requires repairs to be honest...

My button has a red wire and blue wire. I'm going to assume the red goes where yours goes and the blue will go where the black goes.

@@miicoffee thank you, it works perfectly. BTW.... It did explode on me..... Umm I might have screwed the top onto a wire ukowingly so it was touching the metal. Hahaha. I fixed it though and we're good. 😅😅
I guess I derseve it for not bothering to zip tie it all neatly back together.

My button died after 0.5 kg of coffee, I disassembled the button, got acquainted with the internal design of the button. I came to the conclusion that I would replace it with a completely different one. Most likely it will be a toggle button. The design of the original button is very unreliable.
