A while back, I've decided to main loose cannon demo. About a year later, I don't regret it. The obvious pro of the Double Donk sound effect aside, being able to juggle your opponents is very fun. After a certain point it's no less viable than the stock. It's a good tool to get scouts out of your face too.
Except strong enemy not just gonna let you touch them eith melee , let along the fan of war shoot out of a scope at any range (Sydney sleeper) or a jar splash in a wide aoe ,or idk a number 8 class (maybe 9 even)
As a guy who played military simulators with realistic ballistics quite often, using fast projectile weapons like The Huntsman actually is easier for me to use than the conventional sniper rifles in TF2. I've adapted to aiming where a moving target will go rather than where they are.
The classic lets you see more as you can charge while not being scoped. That alone makes it decent as you can whip around and shoot people and makes it harder to get snuck up on.
Honestly I disagreed with SeaRavioli because when I played with the classic I had the best time ever and since then my main sniper rifle has been the classic. I've even got second place on the board on upward just using the classic. Honestly the most fun weapon in the game.
I've been playing only beggars lately and once I got used to it, It's just so amazing when I accidentally hit what I call a 'lord and saviour". Hitting 2 burst rockets in a row on a jumping enemy, then hitting them with another 20 km off the ground, and sometimes hitting them with a last one or a crater either works. The entire weapon is just the dream of jumping soldiers and Is so fun
I watched a video forever ago about a Beggars main that was extremely good at rocket jumping with its unique mechanics, and that's the only reason I started maining it. Such a unique Troldier playstyle potential
Or remind of airshot becomes a no when they aren't literally in your face , hit one and know you have minus skill for hitting that one , also prop riding scouts
Also It's great since means being an trolldier no longer means being an 0 to the team anymore, so it's good if you want to go other places than hightower and harvest
Great video :D Though I have a few things to say about the Fan-O-War : -The best weapons to use with this are the Scattergun (obviously), and the Soda Popper sing it doesn't push enemies away and has better burst damage -In medieval mode, it's surprisingly fun to mindlessly swing this weapon around, mark every enemy for death and get every assist under the sun
Because you retain your charge while jumping with the Classic, I’ve found a really dumb but fun way to use it is in Sniper duels. Imagine, you’re watching a sightline, and the enemy sniper waddles in, bunnyhopping. You take your shot, but because he keeps jumping you miss his head, and then he bodyshots you and you die.
One thing to consider: the fan might not always be the best in helping YOU secure a kill, but instead helps ensure that someone else dies. There is very much a difference, since you can also get out of it a postmortem trade. It's also very much a mileage may vary weapon depending on your kit and approach. Most instances, you've used it and sat right on the target, but have you considered hit and run strats? Find a target, smack him, and pepper away at him. The mark sits on the target for 15 irremovable seconds after all. That's a tremendously long time in this game. Just my thoughts on it.
The loosecannon and the beggars are actually very similar, especially the mobility in exchange for health. Didn't know you could do that with the LC. A very informative video, and thanks for doing something other than the force-a-nature for a gimmick scout weapon.
As someone who's favorite weapons are every single one in this video save for the fan o war and huntsman, im so glad this video exists. I've got 2k kills and double donks on my loose cannon (rip my muscle memory for not using it in months), and I've been having a blast with the beggar's recently. I'm glad you mentioned Antoni since that's who got me into using it and I genuinely can't imagine playing soldier without the beggar's now
As someone with a Hale's Own Classic, I feel I should throw in my two cents here. It does require a more passive playstyle compared to quickscoping with a normal sniper, but you essentially become an instakill sentry at any range with much more visibility than a normal sniper. Scope in for long range shots when necessary but stay scooed out for more map awareness. You're also even more of a menace to overconfident aggressive heavies. The ability to delete someone with a point blank 450 damage headshot is very potent, and even a 130 bodyshot will rid you of any light class that approaches you. If you try to play it like a normal sniper, you're going to be disappointed. Pretend you're a huntsman sidegrade, if that mindset makes it easier for you.
the loose cannon damage output is objectively worse than the grenade launcher due to the charge needed, however the damage actually dealt per direct hit is good, the grenades are just more efficient and easy to understand, this is why the loose cannon can push players and do all of these wacky things, it’s because without it, it would be just worse than stock, i see it as like a force a nature demoman.
Holy shit! From your editing and video quality i thought you were a popular tf2 youtuber who i just didnt know! Your amazing man! Already a big fan from egypt and in gonna binge your vids rn!
Any time I get dominated by a sniper I swap to my strange killstreak Classic with 2,000+ kills, 25 kill streaks ended, 140 demomen killed, 57 revenges. “Wait, did you just die to the Classic” is its name and the description is, “Yes, you did.”
The classic for me has 2 uses. 1: Killing cheaters. Your charge it up, then when they appear, whabam. insta kill. 2: Sniper duals. You can move around at normal speed when scoped if your not charging. Mess up the other sniper.
Love the video! Hope to one day see more of tf2s whacky arsenal that we don't talk about as much on display, like the airstrike or the baby faces blaster.
A very useful mechanic of the loose Cannon that most players forget is it's insane knockback, when running the stickybomb launcher as a primary dmg source the loose Cannon is god-tier at getting aggressive scouts or soldiers (any class for that matter) pushed back to mid range right where the sticky bombs can quickly detonate and demoman is at his strongest.
It feels so weird to see that you only have 4 videos right now. The quality of these vids just makes it feel like there should be so much more of a backlog

Doing 1 overload jump and then shooting 2 rockets instantly at someone is so good at getting kills. And the movement with the weapon might be the most fun thing ever
The Loose Cannon actually synergizes really well with the Quickiebomb Launcher, as the shorter charge time lets you launch bombs outside of the LC’s effective range, getting in that little bit of extra chip damage you may need to finish someone off with a Double Donk.
I like the classic backpack healing melee combo as you can tap fire your enemies then crit melee them also good to jump charge before korners to insta body shot 4 out of the 9 classes and then shot again if you are far away or melee if close it has a very aggressive plaistile Side note:love your channel hope more people subscribe

Heya! Fan o War user here, I run it with the pretty boys pistol and baby faces blaster-it's situational, but certainly secures me more kills then my atomizer would.
the loose cannon is the perfect embodiment of gimmick weapon as it has a great balance between chaotic fun, challenge, and power and most importantly countering it isn't a chore
