My take on the Sandman is to increase Scout's movement speed while enemies are slowed. It would just bring it a bit more up, while perhaps ending up feeling like bonking people for long helps you.
I would honestly just prefer the old stun back. Doesn't even need the cleaver combo. The stun on its own may have been annoying, but it was perfectly balanced and even many high-tier Scouts strayed from using it on its own because of its health penalty which increased your one-shot potential as Scout even further. Plus, it was iconic and it is missed by many alike.
The degreaser also pairs well with the panic attack. Yes your shotgun is the main damage dealer, but you can swap instantaneously, which can throw off people who know how to fight pyro.
@@Spyfromtf2fr Anything other than the phlog is fine. Dragon's furry and back burner aren't that great, but are functional. Degreaser and stock are the 2 that are recommended, degreaser for the switch speed and stock for if you're a bit more liberal with your airblasts and want more viable afterburn.
4:40 this is because even though the weapon auto reloads when holstered, it still takes the same amount of time as it normally would to reload before you can fire again. 10:15 the slow speed is only slightly slower than a heavy's normal walk speed. The sound is supposed to indicate maximum duration of the slowing effect (7 seconds). Also there is a bug that allows players to get past the slowing effect by pushing a or d while moving, which you can see the heavy doing.
great video! my favorite part about the sandman is that it’s debuff slows down all classes to the same speed instead of by a percent, so for a scout it’s a huge problem but for a heavy it’s negligible.
@@Superwaffle-ez9ct dude calm down it's literally a joke don't take this seriously you're literally fighting the invisible boogie man who magically insulted you.
the degreaser is still the best flamethrower after the nerf, as a pyro main myself I can confirm. The current version is a lot more balanced while the old version is quite frankly kinda busted since it's essentially a straight upgrade to stock with no real downsides. As for the current one, for the most part it's still mostly a slight upgrade since the 2 downsides are negligible while the upside adds a lot to the gameplay. You forgot one important aspect of the degreaser which is that the faster deploy speed allows you to have access to airblasting very quickly with seconds to spare and this feature saved my life countless times from soldiers and demos when I was caught by them with my secondary out. This reason alone is why it's still the most commonly used primary in competitive games. Id say the relationship between the current degreaser and stock is like the relationship between the stock grenade launcher and the iron bomber since for the most part they're similar but the unlockable is more useful in more important situations than their stock counterpart. Basically the degreaser is still overall the most versatile pyro primary and there's a good reason why it's still the first choice for pyro mains. As for the other weapons on the list, the amby is definitely weaker than once it was but it's still a solid sidegrade to stock, just less consistent. As for the baby face's blaster and the sandman, those 2 are arguably the biggest fallen giants in the game as they literally went from busted to completely useless with one stat change.
I think air blasting isn’t as effective with the degreaser because airblast got nerfed. It used to prevent the enemy player from strafing, making the player go in a straight line. Very effective combo with flare gun.
The biggest boon of the degreaser is the DEPLOY speed since it allows you to react to projectiles and other dangers very quickly. Considering how often pyros use their secondaries, it is crucial to be able to react to rockets, uber pushes and burning teammates quickly. Comboing is really more a cherry on top since pyros are not meant for dealing damage. So degreaser is arguably more effective at airblasting since you pretty much always have airblasts ready
Double bleed is good training wheels for learning how to manage your BFB boost but you kinda need to graduate from it to get the most out of the primary. The winger can cover a surprising number of gaps alongside a speed boost and still provides good boost buildup at longer ranges, and the mackerel is borderline mandatory for being able to consistently lay out damage when you're moving too fast for either party to land a shot. BFBs at its best when you stop being precious about your boost and run at people like a rabid dog - the oscillation between losing all your speed then immediately getting it all back massively throws off the enemy's aim and intentionally taking damage can be the key to winning a 1v1.
@@SarutinMcWhotookmynameyeah that's why you play Babyface blaster scout in a different way than almost scout. Babyface buster scout works the best when you're able to run routes through maps to kill flankers well occasionally coming into Main to pick off lower health classes
The sandman's stun was freaking iconic and was such an awesome reward for Scout players doing the achievements! I don't even really play scout so I'd been on the receiving end of that stun many times and I NEVER found it unfair or frustrating, it was always a personal failure to avoid it because you could almost always see the ball coming. They need to put the stun back in but maybe have a minimum distance for its stun effect and just a slowdown at short range.
Yeah it's definitely an unfortunate nerf. I can see why they removed the stun, but to make it completely useless AND remove the cleaver combo was just insane D:
They did make the exact change you're talking about with the Sandman previously - but it was still insanely popular because even with those limitations, the benefit of taking an opponent out of the fight was just too high.
I main Medic, so I well know the feeling of playing the game with a target of my back. I took a fair few sandman balls back in the day and I don't remember getting salty about it hardly at all. I almost never got hit with the full stun, just the hands-up surrender effect, which meant I just retreated a little bit. I'm sure Soldier mains hated it, because it meant they couldn't rocket jump around. To which I say, tough break, Soldier is really damned powerful with few counters. I always respected getting nailed with a long-range ball and cleaver, and like OP said, it was usually my fault for not paying attention. I miss the old Sandman.
And dont forget that if you walk diagonally sandman doesn't have any effect on your movement, so it only works on people walking down a corridor away from you, not aware of the trick.
It would be cool if scout got a temporary speed boost when hitting sandman ball and it would be a fitting theme for it too (hit the home run and sprint to the goal) if they added a switch speed buff to ambassador to make it standout as the missed backstab but not out of options weapon while keeping the enforcer still unique Degreaser... have you tryed the shotguns with it?

I am pretty sure that you would have had even more fun with degreaser if you would have airblasted enemies in the air like in good (bad) old times. Just aim down if enemy is not jumping or up whenever to make enemies go fly and have easier flare target
I use the degreaser quite often. I like to play super aggressively with it using the thermal thrusters. I go in, get a kill and get out. It’s surprisingly effective at dealing with snipers! (The quicker switch speed allows me to have pulled it out and already be firing by the time I hit the ground)
I think the Amby is still a decent option for close range picks, even if it’s not the powerhouse it used to be (In Defense of the Ambassador is a very well-made video about this topic). Great video though, it’s awesome to see where some of TF2’s fallen giants are now and your video editing skills are top notch. Keep up the good work!
For the baby face , instead of the guillotine, try using bonk atomic as you still keep the boost allowing you to escape situations to keep your life and boost
Good stuff, it's a real shame what they did to the sandman. It's honestly sad that some of the weapons on the roster aren't even worth using anymore while others like the Deadringer will make spies unkillable at times because it's still OP. I don't know if Valve's ever going to make another good balance update without just moving around the meta weapons so I'm probably going to stick to the wacky sourcemods for a while. Fortress Obscura hype!
The BFB is surprisingly good on nucleus and nucleus map reskins, And the old 2015 META combo of the BFB+sandman+cleaver is GOATED in VSH(if you hit hale with the ball, he’s always slower than you at full boost, even when he has low hp)
The Ambassador isn't bad, it's literally a skill issue. You're one of the classes that's ALWAYS wanting to be close range so damage fall-off killing the weapon for Spy mains kinda proves that they were just doing Sniper shit with it and that's crazy. Only reason it's not still top tier for damaging revolvers is that the Diamondback is extremely busted
IMO it kind of is, it’s worse than the diamondback unless you do absolutely nothing before you need to start shooting- they should 100% just revert the nerf, i don’t think anyone would be upset
@@nomadnuka716 the DB should be nerfed a little, don't disagree with you there, but the ambi should be reverted regardless. it feels good to play with and fight, because when you die to it you feel like you got out-skilled and can therefore respect it. the issue right now is it's terrible, and reverting the nerf would be a 10:1 good to bad change
@@DashFlashTheLife I remember the old Amby well, it did NOT feel good to fight, or to die to, because you could use the DR and ignore basically any issue. I used the Amby because I was a VERY good sniper main in my prime years of TF2, and playing spy any other way then Amby/DR I would get maybe 1/5th of the kills the Amby got for me.
The baby faces actually pairs best with the Mad Milk. The gun (and the entire class) heavily incentivises good aim to boost your way out of trouble, so having the ability to tank the hit and guarantee the kill is super good. The mad milk counters the small damage taken and you can give yourself more time, extinguish yourself from pyros (although honestly pyros were never that much of a threat) and in general is a really good support tool. Scout always gets countered by sentries so who cares? What's funny is every secondary can benefit the Baby Faces super well. Pistol can rack up a lot of boost, Winger is super good in general, Pocket pistol can combine the mad milk and damage, Crit a cola can double down and guarantee otherwise impossible kills, bonk can keep the boost, etc. Even melees can pair well with the Baby faces, though much not as potently. With the baby faces, do not be afraid to jump. Keep in mind, you basically get it all back with 1 really good shot. So if you lose it, hit another shot. It's why it's still pretty strong, like you also mess with Demo and Soldier timings still with the speed boost. Though despite this, the main weakness is the less ammo in the clip. Less dps is never really that great.
Something of note about Sandman, there is a glitch that, somehow, lets you always throw a crit ball, every time, letting it actually have some use to deal damage from far away, and all it required was Switch to scout, swing the bat, throw ball, if not a crit, switch out of scout and back, then try again, once it IS a crit, congrats, now everytime you swing the bat, you ready up a crit ball
Degreaser is my favorite primary for Pyro and i haven't picked up the stock in months. Recently traded for the Baby Face's, the boost reduction is pretty harsh tho so i still need to get used to it. Ambassador is just aight and i dont have the sandman and will probably only use it once when i eventually do get it. Edit: unlocked the sandman: yeaahhh it's pretty bad.

Duuuude the sandman was my favorite weapon by a long shot back in the day. Hitting the "moonshots" was my favorite thing to do (Max range stun that made the cheering crowd sound effect). Remember when some kids used to put how many moonshots they hit in their steam name/bio?
the Sandman(and the wrap assassin to an extent, but its not as funny to use) does have an use if you abuse the random crit balls bug to deal a still puny, but more considerable damage with it. the way you do it is whenever you pick scout(and it does reset if you switch classes, but not dying), equip the funny bat, swing at least once and right click, then if the ball wasn't a crit, you switch classes then back to scout, until it crits. the result is that until you switch classes or the match ends, if you swing the bat before right clicking at any point in that life, the ball will always be a critical hit, which i guess has its use? it does *some* damage and stuns which could be useful i guess
100% I’m super washed 😮💨 The problem with it is that even when hitting most of your shots, the time to kill difference is not worth it compared to if you had just used stock and made your life easier
I like how in the Amby section he subtitles it "Not even that far away" when he is outside the range that 99% of firefights take place in lmao, especially in Spy's case. A+ video regardless.
Scout: Deals 150 damage with two hits on a long cooldown with projectiles Valve: THATS OP NERF IT Sniper: Does 150 damage instantly with hitscan at any range Valve: Balanced
The best combo to use for the degreaser is the Degreaser + Panic Attack (YES, I WATCHED LAZYPURPLE’S PYRO VIDEO, SHUT UP-) It makes you use both at the same time, in which making you deal more damage.
Sandman idea: Drops players straight down, slowing their upward momentum. Mini-crits airborne players. Makes them less able to jump or double jump, including rocket jumps. Effect Scales up with damage, up to max crit level (moonshot; old achievement). At moonshot level, players cannot jump and will fall faster. Damage Scales up with distance. Moonshots give players double fall damage due to momentum, and marks them for death for 3 seconds. Effect overrides and counters thermal thruster, B.A.S.E. Jumper, and Manntreads. (Funny enough, this buffs the manntreads while under its effects, and can be used for cooperative griefing)
I gotta say, after watching this video I only see quality content, from the script, the editing, the background music to the jokes and ideas, etc. In other words, congratulations, you got yourself a new subscriber!!!

For one combo to try with the Degreaser, use it with the Panic Attack. Hit them with flames, quickly switch off to the shotgun for a shot, return to spraying with the degreaser, switch off to the shotgun for a shot, you get the idea, do this quickly enough and you can out-DPS a heavy at point blank.
My changes for the ambassador. -Match the firerate of the gun to the headshot buildup. +increase the drop off distance by 50%. This way, the ambassador becomes a good sidegrade for spy to be able to deal damage at medium ranges better than a regular revolver, but it would be less effective at closer ranges than a regular revolver due to the firerate being slower
I feel like all they have to do to fix the sandman is just have knock back when in you’re in the air, do 30 damage a hit from any range, fix the movement bug, and completely stun you for a slightly shorter amount of time than normal when you’re SERIOUSLY far away with the sound effect.
Something you sort of mentioned but that I think is the best part of the degreaser, is that it's the fastest possible way to reflect if you don't have your primary out 24/7. There's just way too many times I've had the powerjack or a secondary out and couldn't switch back to my flamethrower in time to hit a reflect that would've killed an enemy soldier or saved my life.
Two fun facts about the new sandman: -it doesn't affect heavies because the speed cap it imposes is their normal walking speed. -the slow down can be negated by strafing. Legitimately, all the thing needs to be viable is to have the hp negative removed, slight damage nerf, and then make the ball slow people to heavy's revved walk speed. Or just make the slow effect lower the character's walk speed by a percentage rather than cap it
Baby face blaster is super fun with the speed n bleed load out. People complain about you losing boost but that’s the point, you need to get it back. I personally think it still needs a buff to be viable, like clip size or increasing the damage threshold to lose speed.
When I saw you using the sandman I thought "hey that reminds me of that guy with some unusual using the sandman combo even though it got removed" and then I saw my name in the kill feed, 1KingMoxu_Simp.
"What if the cleaver dealt mini-crits to people with debuffs?" Then it combos with itself, was what I was going to react with, then I realized flares also combo with themselves, so... screw it, why not?
Awesome video! At 5:10, I think you lost that fight because you were walking forward while enemy pyro was walking backwards, so their flames reached farther.
Not sure I follow the logic on the Amby being a C. Just cause it can’t be a budget sniper rifle doesn’t mean full crits aren’t powerful as all heck. Its damage fall off makes it balanced but you’re always better off with the Amby than stock if you can land your first headshot. I’d cay it I tier at worst, maybe a hair bellow the l’etranger and diamonds back, but a solid upgrade to stock if you aim is on point.
The way I use the Baby Face Blaster is to gain more speed so I can pepper the enemy with debuffs like Bleeding, Marked for Death, Mad Milk or Stun. It helps a bunch with out manoeuvring and escaping. It makes Scout more of a support character and is pretty fun.
It'd be cool if the Sandman had hit-again mechanic, the baseball ricochets on hit & boomerangs back to Scout and you can hit it again, it either stacks the slow more and more till an enemy can barely move, or applying a "three strikes" debuffs, like the 1st one is the usual slow debuff, the 2nd is dmg debuff like a mini marked for death, & 3rd is a healing debuff
I dont get why people dont use the winger for backup, the reduced ammo capacity in the BFB means higher chance they arent finished off, and only using a few bullets from the pistol would be better
the thing the baby face helps you do that nobody talks about, is that since it makes you faster, not only are you throwing off your opponents muscle memory, but you're harder to hit in general, helping you avoid bullets.
So 2 thing you might not know 1: (I might be delusional but I think Ive done this before) you can Airblast a dragons fury shot, but its really hard 2: sandman is good for Degroot keep, bc it can stop a demos charge
Love the throwback to Jerma and Star. I dropped TF2 about a year ago; they nerfed to many of my favorite weapons. Plus every server was, possibly still is, full of aimbot snipers, so...yeah; that's fun.
I can imagine the sandman being a lot more potent without the stun if it had an effect to the tune of "Enemies hit lose all horizontal momentum and are bounced into the air a little bit." This would at least put it on the same league as the scorch shot, which the pyro can spam with impunity and does more damage.
Glad to see some appreciation for the BFB. Sometimes people seem to forget that it's the biggest speed boost in the game. Shame about mini's and afterburn... I guess this is probably the only weapon that benefits from using the sun on a stick! No helping the mini sentries, I wish you could get boost back from buildings...
As for what can be done... personally, I think you could either do some numbers tweaks or do something else. Something like 5 shots, 1 damage destroys 2 boost, double jumping removes 65% boost. I'm hesitant to suggest anything more interesting than that, but one idea that I like is the ability to get boost from ammo packs. It would only go up the 30% from these sources though. This would help with minis and afterburn since you typically run for a health kit after those things happen anyways, and it would also make it feel less bad when you kill a soldier but his rocket hits you after he died, killing your boost. Its the kind of thing that sounds painful to balance though...
I use primarily Babyface and Amby with the respective loadouts. This video is definitely about your playstyle and you seem to not have much experience with those weapons in particular. I find them both quite situational, but they have such intense potential that I end up using both over the others most of the time. If you can work around not being able to double jump and get close to Pyros or Sentries or headshot all the time then they can give you some really incredible games. I feel like if I were to rank them on the list I'd put both of them a rank higher. Especially the Babyface, it's sooo hard to understand how people could find it a bad or mediocre weapon when YOU CAN LITERALLY RUN THROUGH BULLETS AT TOP SPEED AND FLANK ALMOST ANYONE.
for the sandman in particular id love to see a function where the ball bounces back at you on hit and you can melee to send it back again for multiple hits. should be balanced because it could be fairly high skill and deals ~15 damage per hit i think
The baby face blaster, my maybe favorite gun in the game, is really fun. May not be practical, but it’s great in the right hands (And I am not great). I am happy with the score and it’s nice seeing someone enjoy the weapon. In my opinion, a good way to buff it would be this. For one, give it a 6 shot clip. Every single scattergun side grade has a clip penalty, and the baby face blaster needs those extra shots more than the other guns due to how important it is to keep up boost. Then they should make the boost lost on hit more forgiving, maybe making it 75-100 instead of 25 damage to lose it. This would still make any reasonable amount of damage get rid of it, but not chip shots. Also they could possibly make it not lose boost from DoT. Edit: Just realized I basically made a very similar comment, albeit with less information, 8 months ago on this video lol. I even proposed the same changes.
I think the way to fix the babyface’s would be to have the boost drain be based on how much damage you’re taking at once. If you get hit by just a little bit of afterburn or a few mini sentry bullets it will only drain a small amount but getting hit with a meat shot from a shotgun or a blast from a rocket will take a lot more away. This way you’re getting punished for taking large amounts of damage but having your big toe get shot by a mini sentry won’t instantly send your boost to the shadow realm.
One thing that degreaser allows what you hardly would do with the stock is Flare Punch - hitting pyro with flare while flame particle touches them, resulting in crit despite apparent burn immunity. Guess Degreaser is just made for flaregun
You could also give the sandman its MvM upgrade of "mark for death on hit" It's balanced in MvM since you only get one ball and less health vs the Fan-o-War's unlimited swings but locked to melee range
I miss comboing the Babyface with the Sandman. I used to speed around maps and come out of no where, stun my enemy with the sandman and just go to town with the babyface. I miss it so much.
Sandman stun was actually one of the reasons early competitive TF2 had an "only default loadouts" rule it's hilarious they finally removed it 10 years later. On release there was so much debate over wheather stuns and other cc effects in FPS games should even be a thing. It was an entire year AFTER overwatch came out that stun was removed from the sandman, wild.
For the BFB, I've always thought that in concept, the downsides it trades are balanced, but they're TOO harsh in execution, especially the damage downside. With Pyro, and how unfair it is that sentries CANNOT miss, I've always wondered if it would fix the entire thing if sentry fire (not the rockets, but just the bullets) and fire damage removed far less boost than normal attacks. They still should be allowed to remove boost, but I think, personally, the BFB would be a lot better off (without being SO oppressive) if the penalty was turned down a notch. It's just SO MUCH BOOST lost for so little damage. The ratio overall of damage:boost in general definitely needs to be tweaked. But I think it's far more important that the specific oppressors that can shut down a BFB Scout entirely (sentries & fire damage) should be tweaked first and foremost
Good vid but I think you missed a crucial bit on the Degreaser segment which is that it wasn't just nerfed directly on its own stats but also indirectly relative to all of pyro's other primaries because the standard weapon switch speed got buffed across the board for all classes. So the switch bonus that the Degreaser provides no longer feels as significant because it's literally not. You feel like you could've done the combos with the stock flamethrower because you really could, you just couldn't have a decade ago before that game-wide switch speed rework. So the main thing that neutered the Degreaser was that its niche was made available to every other flamethrower and it no longer had much of a reason to exist. But true, it can make some kills more satisfying.
Have you ever heard of the crit exploit of the Sandman? If you launch a baseball at spawn, and if it's a random crit, then as long as you swing the bat before launching the ball, it will be a guarenteed crit. The exploit works even if you die, get autobalanced, or when the round ends. If it doesn't crit, then switch to a dif class and switch back to Scout and repeat until it crits.
idk if someone mentioned this, but the slowdown effect from the sandman actually can just be negated by just straifing, making the weapon completely useless if anyone you hit know to do that.

Plus, it was iconic and it is missed by many alike.
nah they should just revert the change. but just make it so after taking any damage the stun is gone.

The degreaser also pairs well with the panic attack. Yes your shotgun is the main damage dealer, but you can swap instantaneously, which can throw off people who know how to fight pyro.
I use shotgun on pyro as a main weapon and any flamthrower exepct dragon's furry for reflecting. Is it ok?
Also there is a bug that allows players to get past the slowing effect by pushing a or d while moving, which you can see the heavy doing.
great video! my favorite part about the sandman is that it’s debuff slows down all classes to the same speed instead of by a percent, so for a scout it’s a huge problem but for a heavy it’s negligible.

the degreaser is still the best flamethrower after the nerf, as a pyro main myself I can confirm.
Yeah the reason my strange flamethrower isn't used often is because I love combo pyro SO much
I think air blasting isn’t as effective with the degreaser because airblast got nerfed.
BFBs at its best when you stop being precious about your boost and run at people like a rabid dog - the oscillation between losing all your speed then immediately getting it all back massively throws off the enemy's aim and intentionally taking damage can be the key to winning a 1v1.
all of this is really fun sounding till you remember pyro and engineer exist

The sandman's stun was freaking iconic and was such an awesome reward for Scout players doing the achievements! I don't even really play scout so I'd been on the receiving end of that stun many times and I NEVER found it unfair or frustrating, it was always a personal failure to avoid it because you could almost always see the ball coming. They need to put the stun back in but maybe have a minimum distance for its stun effect and just a slowdown at short range.
Yeah it's definitely an unfortunate nerf. I can see why they removed the stun, but to make it completely useless AND remove the cleaver combo was just insane D:
@@SeaRavioli Right? They could have nerfed the Cleaver Combo, and left it at that.
Thankfully they dud beef it early on top but he entirely ridiculous launch sandman could stun u dr players
And dont forget that if you walk diagonally sandman doesn't have any effect on your movement, so it only works on people walking down a corridor away from you, not aware of the trick.
It would be cool if scout got a temporary speed boost when hitting sandman ball and it would be a fitting theme for it too (hit the home run and sprint to the goal)
if they added a switch speed buff to ambassador to make it standout as the missed backstab but not out of options weapon while keeping the enforcer still unique
Degreaser... have you tryed the shotguns with it?
Degreaser with the Panic Attack is kinda OP.

The BFB is surprisingly good on nucleus and nucleus map reskins,
And the old 2015 META combo of the BFB+sandman+cleaver is GOATED in VSH(if you hit hale with the ball, he’s always slower than you at full boost, even when he has low hp)
@@DashFlashTheLife It's worse than the Diamondback because the Diamondback should be nerfed, not that the Ambassador should be buffed/reverted.
@@DashFlashTheLife A LOT of people would be upset, nerfing the DB and buffing the Amby, but not reverting it, is really the only way to fix this.

Something of note about Sandman, there is a glitch that, somehow, lets you always throw a crit ball, every time, letting it actually have some use to deal damage from far away, and all it required was
Switch to scout, swing the bat, throw ball, if not a crit, switch out of scout and back, then try again, once it IS a crit, congrats, now everytime you swing the bat, you ready up a crit ball

@@redmag he did it
I have no clue what this means, yet I find this insulting
the Sandman(and the wrap assassin to an extent, but its not as funny to use) does have an use if you abuse the random crit balls bug to deal a still puny, but more considerable damage with it.
the way you do it is whenever you pick scout(and it does reset if you switch classes, but not dying), equip the funny bat, swing at least once and right click, then if the ball wasn't a crit, you switch classes then back to scout, until it crits.
the result is that until you switch classes or the match ends, if you swing the bat before right clicking at any point in that life, the ball will always be a critical hit, which i guess has its use? it does *some* damage and stuns which could be useful i guess
The Ambassador was definitely more of a skill issue than anything
100% I’m super washed 😮💨
The problem with it is that even when hitting most of your shots, the time to kill difference is not worth it compared to if you had just used stock and made your life easier
i'm sure that the ambassador has uses for weakened light classes or confirming kills due to headshot
I love using the degreaser+stock shotgun combo, dealing a lots of burst damage with fire is epic AF

The best combo to use for the degreaser is the Degreaser + Panic Attack (YES, I WATCHED LAZYPURPLE’S PYRO VIDEO, SHUT UP-)
It makes you use both at the same time, in which making you deal more damage.
Degreaser panic attack is the most fun ica had as pyro
great editing man, it’s very clean!
Sandman idea:
Drops players straight down, slowing their upward momentum.

-Sun tzu art of war
30 is still only a sneeze lol
Something you sort of mentioned but that I think is the best part of the degreaser, is that it's the fastest possible way to reflect if you don't have your primary out 24/7. There's just way too many times I've had the powerjack or a secondary out and couldn't switch back to my flamethrower in time to hit a reflect that would've killed an enemy soldier or saved my life.
Two fun facts about the new sandman:
-it doesn't affect heavies because the speed cap it imposes is their normal walking speed.
"What if the cleaver dealt mini-crits to people with debuffs?"
Then it combos with itself, was what I was going to react with, then I realized flares also combo with themselves, so... screw it, why not?
It'd be cool if the Sandman had hit-again mechanic, the baseball ricochets on hit & boomerangs back to Scout and you can hit it again, it either stacks the slow more and more till an enemy can barely move,
or applying a "three strikes" debuffs, like the 1st one is the usual slow debuff, the 2nd is dmg debuff like a mini marked for death, & 3rd is a healing debuff
I dont get why people dont use the winger for backup, the reduced ammo capacity in the BFB means higher chance they arent finished off, and only using a few bullets from the pistol would be better
Dude, I'm finding an awesome amount of unexpected Star and Jerma references in TF2 vids lately.
3:35 something scout would actually say
10:56
"Normal Spy"
proceeds to use ekunai and dead ringer instead of a cloak with any other knife that forces you to be stealthy
A really good combo with the degreaser is the panic attack. The switch speed is so fast you can just spam degreaser and with the meatshots
the thing the baby face helps you do that nobody talks about, is that since it makes you faster, not only are you throwing off your opponents muscle memory, but you're harder to hit in general, helping you avoid bullets.
Damn, Sound was not lying when literally breathing on a Babyfsce's Blaster Scout literally drains all of their boost.

I dropped TF2 about a year ago; they nerfed to many of my favorite weapons.
Plus every server was, possibly still is, full of aimbot snipers, so...yeah; that's fun.
ambassador is deagle but with damage falloff
The Baby Face's Blaster Loadout You Made Is MY Louadout BTW XD
I even proposed the same changes.
great video production! This channel is going somewhere!
You could also give the sandman its MvM upgrade of "mark for death on hit"
It's balanced in MvM since you only get one ball and less health vs the Fan-o-War's unlimited swings but locked to melee range
How 2 ambassador:
Headshot to MULTIPULE body shots.
The baby face blaster with the guillotine and wrap assassin is the ranged flava loadout
I jsut realized i've been using Pyro's worst nerfed weapon for 4 years.
Man you deserve like 100k subs your content is so well made
thank you!
But I think it's far more important that the specific oppressors that can shut down a BFB Scout entirely (sentries & fire damage) should be tweaked first and foremost
the sandman also disables shield charges for debuff duration (and knocks them out of a charge)
I'm glad some people still know where Super Secret is
Good vid but I think you missed a crucial bit on the Degreaser segment which is that it wasn't just nerfed directly on its own stats but also indirectly relative to all of pyro's other primaries because the standard weapon switch speed got buffed across the board for all classes.
Ahh I knew about it with the wrap assassin but I wasn't sure if it worked with both. Good to know. Maybe it will make the weapon actually viable lol
idk if someone mentioned this, but the slowdown effect from the sandman actually can just be negated by just straifing, making the weapon completely useless if anyone you hit know to do that.
I just started playing again since like around 2014. Didn't know all theses weps were nerfed. I remember using the sandman a lot
