Decided on an ink sketch for this video, using my Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen. Hope you enjoy this relaxed form of drawing. Thanks for watching. Jim
It took me a while before I figured out that the shading on the left mountain mimicked trees and the first layer of shading on the large tree mimicked the different 'clumps' of leaves. DUH! Another great technique I've learned from you and will practice so I can incorporate in my work. Thanks for another great demonstration.
You have a fine talent! I wish you had added colour! I can draw pretty well but it has been many years and I can learn from watching you. I'm an old guy who plays guitar and writes poems. I write sort of little nursery rhymes and have the idea of illustrating them. I ilke the simplicity of pen and ink. I'm tempted to post one here that you might see how suited they are for illustration. I don't plan to publish or anything so 'heady'. just something for my grandchildren to remember me. That was great thank you!

There is no “DUH” my friend, the drawing creates itself and sometimes I don’t even seriously plan the lines.

Bring born and raised in rural Alberta ,was wondering if u ever have drawn the old grain elevators that are just about non extinct on our landscape?
I haven’t, but will see if I can find a good photo, maybe I’ll be inspired to do an old grain elevator.
