No doubt we’ve made progress in many areas over the years - and there are some fantastic comedians around today - but if we’re honest, so much of what’s supposed to be funny is just a lot of swearing and really dirty jokes. This is so different. Innuendo for sure, but clean language and genuinely side-splittingly funny.
Foster Brooks is easily top 5 funniest blokes who has ever walked on God’s green earth.

I wish we had humor again. Most of what passes for comedy anymore is the same anti-Trump rhetoric which isn’t even funny. It’s like living in a Communist country anymore: humorless except for what the Ruling Class decides is ‘funny.’
Comedians like Dave Chappell and Eddie Murphy, though, are starting to push back against this “woke, cancel culture” and are trying to bring back funny. I hope they win. We could ALL use a good laugh and to feel free enough, without the fear of retribution, to laugh at one another and at ourselves. Depression kills, laughter cures.
