They like water, don't wait until bone dry!

Maybe if you have very low humidity and very fast draining potting media, then yes water away 😀😀 in my high humidity climate they rot 100% if not dried out completely

@@onlyplantsI love your videos, I'm in Kentucky. USA and I have to keep mine. Moist then run a string through the pot then into a cup/bowl under the pot so the plant can more less self water but I do it so it can stay at the same moisture level 😅or else they die on me .. this has been the only way I can keep anthuriums alive and happy In my home and out of the grow room

My fave is neem oil. Its universal and safer to use. It treats pests too

@onlyplants I did see that you stated it in the video. I use neem mixed with dawn dish soap, water and Castille peppermint soap.

@@69dogodonWashing up liquid is not actually a soap, it's a detergent designed to cut through grease. Over time it damages plants by stripping the oils. Controversially many people seem to use it without an issue, but perhaps it's the duration and frequency of use that shows signs. Also we probably don't see much damage but at a microscopic level things may be different? Maybe when damage is seen, the pests are blamed instead.
Castile soap has short chain acids, unlike fatty acids which are long chain. It is made from whole oils, not isolated fatty acids and often contains oils and addictives which are harmful to plants.
Because of this insecticidal soap (horticultural soap) is recommended as it has long chain fatty acids, make sure it's made with potassium fatty acids. Insecticidal soap can damage fleshy leaves and hairy plants.
Oils can block the pores of plants.
All options seem to have a draw back, but I'm letting you know as many DIY websites suggest washing up liquid (you call it Dawn soap) or Castile soap, but from my research above, it is not recommended long term.
