I got one for my birthday and now the leaves are dying and the flowers. I got enough information in going to try and save it. It's a beautiful plant. Thank you for sharing.
Hello I finally bought my 1st Anthurium plant today. I've wanted one for a long time. I just watched your video & I learned alot. Thank you for the wonderful information!12:28am New York time!
Hi I believe the placement is super important. If you are lucky to place it in the right place, it will bloom a lot. Thank you for the content. and video.
Nice information on Anthurium plant. Thank you. To save my plants from over watering , i think I'm under watering it.. n few leaves hv got cracks.. is cracking up due to under watering??
Dear Friend, thank you so much for your video and I am very much impressed the way you described with do much clarity. Thank you once again. Expect a similar video on Orchids' care. Wishing you sincerely good luck.
I managed to keep an Anthurium healthy for 3 years; it has a lot of nice greeen leaves, bushy like a salad 😀, but no flowers 😢Please give me some advice. I fertilize it once a trimester with 20:20:20. Thank you
Thank you so much for such informative video ... I bought Anthurium for how beautiful it looks but was skeptical about its maintenance and was scared if I would kill it .. also I dont have a balcony and was guided that its indoor plant ..I have2 questions please if you could answer them then it would save me :) 1. I get indirect light from windows ( but its minimal ) so will it survive with just that ? 2. Terracotta pot is better or Ceramic Pot ?? Thanks much in advance !!!
This is a great video, very informative! Thank you so much for being thorough and yet keeping the information simple. I just subscribed to your channel!
I myself have planted Anthurium. Really it's a beautiful plant, but I am worried about its growth as I have kept it indoor. As you have given some tips about its up keeping it is going to be helpful for me to nurture it properly. Thankyou.
I have one of this beautiful plant in our home. The direction for watering is says 6 ice cubes once a week. Which I thought it was strange but I do exactly as direction says. It does not look as beautiful as yours, I need to refresh the soil and cut off the flowers it's starting to die. I have in indoor. Thanks for the tips!
That's V.nice n perfectly explained but where temperature goes above in May june in North India n lots heat wave how to care this lovely plants? Please reply thanks 💐💐
Anthurium (flamingo flower) plant is rather hardy than compared to its cousin Spathiphyllum. They have thick and dense roots. And it only needs a bright indirect sunlight for it to be happy, I water them only when the entire potting mix is completely dry, or I wait until its leaves show up a leaning posture indicating it needs water. All in all a very happy plant to keep.
I bought an anthurium 2 weeks ago, it's pot's size was 1 liter. I've repotted it last week, it's new pot's size is 2.5 liters. I realized my mistake, the new pot is too big for my anthurium. Its going to stop my plant's growth. I wonder if I repot it with a smaller pot(1.4 liters), would I damage my anthurium? Do you have any recommendation for me?
😍 So pretty, I love mine. Two of my leaves have a little black on them? It does sit close to a window but it has shears so it doesn't get direct sun. Mine has flowered since I got it 4 months ago. Does it like to be root bound?
Love how you are clear & full of info. Wanted to know where do you live ? also for indoor plants do we have to keep drain for the all the indoor plants ?
Thanks Nisha! I am in Adelaide, Australia. Yes its good to keep a plate for water to drain out but the pot should not sit in the water as the plant might absorb water more than required through capillary action which is nothing but water absorbed by roots through soil from the bottom part.
Thanks so much for the info . I have read somewhere that anthuriums are epiphytes like orchids . I have potted this in orchid potting mix. Is it ok ? The plant is growing at a slow pace with no flowers yet .
Hi there, hope you're doing great. Thank you for sharing your video, very informative and nicely explained. I have one main root with three different colours, very nice but, I'm afraid I don't know how to care for it, now I know . Thank you so much. Blessings from Trinidad 🇹🇹❤❤❤
I have this plant and the stems that grow out of the pot are brown and old thick stems. They product leaves very small and red flowers here and there. I have it inside by my sliding deck doors but it gets alor of sun beaming in. Not sure if this is the issue? I water the soil when it’s dry. Please help!

I just bought this page 1 day ago and looking forward to taking care of this lovely beauty 😇 thanks for all the information you shared.. I found it very useful and helpful and I will certainly be following many of your tips given 😊
My anthurium loves the shady spot I have it in. I grow like an orchid in coconut chips only and water every other day and can't remember the last time I fertilized. If you tend to overwater try fast draining wood chip medium.
Very informative. Can you tell how to care during Summers. There's no moist places in my house and no proper place for plant near bathrooms either because there's no sunlight in that area. Pls anyone. Thanks.
That’s a beautiful specimen as well, I had a cluster of 3 stems in a nursery pot and I’ve divided them into a pot for each main stem. They have all given off either a new flower and a new leaf, or a new leaf. My question should I have potted the stem deeper so more Ariel roots are submerged or leave them sticking out with only the main root cluster under the soil. I would really like to make them all bigger and thicker like yours. Thanks again
I am having a problem with my anthurium. Some of he flowers have yellow bubbles on them. It is in a ceramic pot and I water it every Friday with a 1/2 cup of water. HELP????
I have a plant for 25 years without any difficulty. After one fertilization, it died in about 2 weeks. I have another, but I am not seeing any new blooms. Is there something I'm missing or will it eventually bloom once it becomes more acclimated ?
Could you pls explain what you mean by indirect light? My plant is inside the house but gets sunlight through closed windows.is this what you mean ? Kindly explain.
I brought this plant 1month ago after that it gave new leaves and buds but now for a while plants leaves and buds got rotten..and turned yellowish brown and little much worried pls reply
Sir,my anthurium got burnt due to the heat entering through the window glass. When i realised it, i shifted it inside the house.now it looks healthy, but no new leaves or flowers since then.since about a month. What do i do now.im very upset. Please advise.

Hello bro,
I bought 2anthorium last week. and I repot it after 2-3 days leaves are dropping for one plant. Can u help me?

Regular pruning helps 😊

Yes they do not like that heat, you can add some compost now that you have changed its place and hopefully it should thrive back 😊
In the video 2 fertilisers are added. one is bone meal. other is carbonium. No idea what is carbonium. I may be wrong. From where to buy carbonium. Not seen in normar nursery shops. Pl advise
Cow manure
OK. THANKS@@MMMPlants

You can ask your nearest garden centres
