Andrew, your truck will tow a lot more then you think it can handle. Many years ago I had a 2009 6.0 2500 truck. I towed a 5th wheel that weight 13,800 pounds dry all over the country as I worked. It was the most truck I could afford at the time being young and cash strapped. There were many stressful moments on the highway but the truck handled the load just fine. Saved enough to buy a Duramax Dully. I miss my old truck, she did all and some more.
You need a camshaft to awake the beast inside that motor...
Love the 6.0 engine has a great sound when driving and love the reliability it gives
I got a 2012 2500hd 6.0 vortec I tow a 5,000lb trailer with a 10,000lb skidloader on it with 4 implements that weight between 500 and 1,500 lbs and she does just fine so far just got the truck so I hope it stays that way.
I use my 04 Silverado 2500 6.0 for my dumpster business most I’ve towed is 8 tons does great
My neighbor loaded 5 on his bed... 2 wide 2 deep and one in the middle. I laughed thinking those are going to be fun to pick up on the side of the road.
That's nothing for that truck I pulled the trailer with 10 round bales that were wrapped in plastic and they fill them with water to make hayledge
Yeah that is not impressive I have pulled 13 1600# bales with the same truck all day everyday
Andrew, will your tractor handle the bales? Can't remember size of tractor you drove. Hope you video loading and unloading next time. How did the 5th wheel trailer feel behind ya? I don't have one but friend said it's easy pulling and rides pretty smooth. Enjoyed a full-watch 👀. 👍

Great trucks hauled from El Paso TX to the RGV with a trailer and a dolly two suburbans on top of them zero problems , as well as an 10,000lbs 34 foot rv from North Dakota back to the RGV Tx great engines and great transmission

I have a 03 sierra with the 6.0 and love it, i also have the same tow mirrors you do
I’ve got 2 of the same truck you have. One with the Duramax and one a 6.0. Both are good trucks but if I’m not pulling really heavy then the 6.0 is my choice. Damn thing is bulletproof and will pull better than you might think.

You can easily get by with an S10 or Ford ranger for 30 bale's a year. That being said I usually tow 6 bale's with my 2003 V6 f150 2wd. And 14 bale's with the 03 Chevy 2500 6.0. but we used to feed 1500 bale's a year (200 head). That truck will do a lot more than your using it for.
