Sir, there is one more perspective to the decision on whether one should have MFs or stocks or both, apart from return- accumulation. If I have MFs only and SIP in it, I will save only the SIP amount and any extra money will go into spends. But if I have a stock portfolio also, then my target would be to accumulate stocks from that extra money. SIPs will continue. So, this behavioral aspect should also be considered. For me, SIPs bring continuity in accumulation and stocks brings aggressiveness in accumulation.

I have MF only portfolio. I invest extra money in MFs as per weights.
