- This is a short explanation about the ATS status, also I explained about how to do the Parked Regeneration but I think nowadays drivers are more familiar about it. If you want me to get it more in deep leave a comment down below.
Please leave a thumbs up and a LIKE if you like the content, that really helps the channel. If you have suggestions let me know they are important to me.

Hi, I don't usually leave comments but I found your explanation of the menu in the video, and your answer to a comment where you gave a specific breakdown of the soot level gauge very very helpful to me. So I just had to subscribe to your channel and leave this comment to say. THANK YOU!
You are welcome, glad to be helpful.
Thanks for the video
Hey bud, the park brake on my ATS status says CHECK, my park brake is applied. Please advise. Thanks
You hace to check the sensor close to the uper side of the Dpf tris sensor is really easy wacht for craks this is mostly cause así for regeneretion often
Thanks for sharing. Luckily I already found a video that explained how to cycle through the menu but SUGGESTION moving forward: Show people how you go through the menu options next time. There's not really a clear indication for it, no thanks to volvo. Not your fault. Anyway again great video explanation of the menu. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and your advice. I am glad that you are learning more about your vehicle.
Hey. Thanks for a great description. I’m not understanding about the soot level gauge tho. You said it’s it should be below 4. Or below 3? How do you gauge it. I’m seeing “A 23 4”. And the arrow is pointing right beneath the letter “A” lol. Sorry. I’m confused
The gauge should be below A-(average level). 2-means almost full (passive regeneration might take place). 3-DPF full park regeneration is needed. 4-DPF clogged parked regeneration cannot take place unless DPF is serviced, Service Tech Tool require to allow regeneration again. I hope this help you to understand more about the DPF gauge. Thanks for watching.
@@LetstalkDIESEL ohhhh. Ok. Each number signifies a level. Including the letter A-which mine is below. So that it indicates it’s below average level after I did my parked regen. Perfect thanks. I just bought a 2017 Volvo 760. I felt that company driving was 2020. It’s time to own. This is my first truck. Wonderful vehicle. So much to learn about it. Thanks for helping
What does the upside triangle mean, and the a mean. Also what’s 2 3 and 4 mean. Thanks for all your help man. I’ve learned a lot from you already, you are awesome.
Thank you
You are welcome.
I got the same truck did a parked regen lastnight . was wondering how come dosent it clean while driving ? Shud i do regene every week or every 2 weeks so I dont have to stop on a highway like a fool?
Once a month
Soot level is empty, and i have icon for def and temperature on the left down corner, and i cannot do Regen any more,i have a problem i m was did regen 6,7 times and I still have that temperature def icon? Any idea what is going on there?
Have the same problem... my soot level is below A'... did the park regen and it just never stopped it kept going... it got the soot level to empty out. But it just kept going high rpms and the light keeps blinking so now idk lol... driving and keeping an eye on the soot level slowing building up.. if it keeps going I'll need to try the park regen again.. and see where it goes from there
Hi there I have changed my dpf filter and after outlet nox sensor changed but I still got high soot level
If you did clean your DPF and replaced the Outlet NOx sensor, you need the Tech Tool (Volvo Software) to perform DPF reset and Sensor reset. Thanks for watching and the support.
I have 2015 Volvo 670
I just changed my dpf filter and soot level is at half is it too high after changing the filter
You should tell the technician to do the DPF reset with the Tech Tool (Volvo Software). After that it will go down to 19%. Thanks for watching the video.
Great video very helpful. When it says “CONDITIONS NOT MET”…. What are the conditions
The conditions are under the menu ATS or EATS status. Press enter and you will find few data about the vehicle like if the parking brake is on or the engine temperature is okay for the parked regeneration and more.
How do you change the system Fault when it says check
It means there is an issue with the check engine light, diagnostic is required in order to change from Check to Ok. Thanks for watching and support the channel.
Wat is the symbol after (A) bottom dash screen?
It is the performance bonus, when enable it can raise or lower your speed depending of your driving performance. Thanks for watching and support.
Hey my truck says vehicle below speed check and won’t finish the park regan. What is causing it to stay below speed ?
If your truck is not finishing the Parked Regeneration and the light is blinking (Regeneration). Then, it might be on derate (probably around 25%). That could be the reason it is NOT reaching max speed.
@@LetstalkDIESEL well today it did a park regan good but on the ATS STATUS it’s showing vehicle speed below (check).
Hey is it normal to have boost pressure when truck is idling?
@@LetstalkDIESEL what i have to do than regen it not stoping
My question is if the def is deleted why this asking for regenerate the DPF ? Is there something wrong right?
I am not sure why the light stays ON after bypass the ATS. But I think it could be a safety feature programmed by the manufacturer, you know, to let know others that your vehicle is NOT performing regeneration properly anymore. This is just my personal opinion and you should NEVER tamper your ATD/ATS. Thank you for watching.
Hi there, have you done videos about the same matter wih Macks?
I have a short review about the instrument cluster for Mack 2019 in here ruclips.net/video/5yXJasl943c/видео.html. Thanks for watching.
@@LetstalkDIESEL Thanks!
Clutch switch how to fix
Can you please make a video like this on Mack/Volvo d13
Do you mean about the new dashboard/instrument cluster?
@@LetstalkDIESEL No sir the old one i got 2012 Mack/Volvo d13 engine
@@LetstalkDIESEL Am from South East Nigeria i bought the truck last year and your videos have been helping me to know more about trucks especially the DPF DOC SCR sensors that are there and the engine parts their names and what it does
@@LetstalkDIESEL I bought the truck last year but i have not started working with it because i want to buy 40ft flat trailer so i can start working as owner operator
@@LetstalkDIESEL I started driving trucks since 2012 though is E7 engine ch613 one can see it virtually every were in Nigeria and i understand that Mack is no longer producing the E7 engines so am preparing to try something new and your videos have been helpful to me so keep up the good work, thankful sir.
Hi everybody my truck it’s required regen two times same week that is normally my truck 2016 Volvo d13
If your truck is idle a lot, let’s say while you are sleeping, then parked regeneration two times at week is fine, also you must clean the DPF every 250,000 miles under Volvo specification, good maintenance of that part will help you to keep the parked regeneration occurring less often. Thank you for watching the video.
My truck says temporary lockout it doesn’t shift
Perhaps an SCR issues must be going on. If regeneration cannot take place or the red stop light is ON that might be a signal of engine derate. If there is NOT parked regeneration or Aftertreatment issues. The transmission (automatic only) could have an issues with the clutch. I hope this help you.
Let’s talk DIESEL. Hey my soot level is below A..and it’s been in the same spot for long..I keep try to do park regen put it doesn’t do park region..Should I clean the DPF filter??
@@LetstalkDIESEL ..derate..stop light is one..engine shuts off every 60 seconds i am lost
@@nakkieyBhai it depends... if your trucks is a heavy duty tractor you should clean your DPF every 400,000 miles or 10,000 hours (250,000 miles from for severe duty), regardless if your truck has issues or not. Usually, passive regeneration can take place if you drive a lot in highways (perhaps this is the reason why you do not require to do parked regeneration), unlike local driver that idle more than long haul, they are required to perform parked regeneration often. I hope this answer your question and thanks for watching.
My truck said Temporary lockout check i need your explanation please
I kdon’t
