Bought this rack to carry my Radrover 5, because of this video I had it set up in less than 10 minutes and the bike mounted and secured less than 5 minutes after that, thank you very much
Very good video and nice camera work. I did not read all the posts but want to make one minor comment. I have the same bike rack but I noted you did not install the safety machine screws near the ends of the crossbars to prevent the tire holders from sliding off when no bike is installed. Also in my instruction those screw holes should be facing down. In your video they are facing up. Again a very minor point and I think you did a great job on the video... thanks.
@@briandhoward6137 ugh that blows. I wanted one but my wife wasn't into it. So I bought a super duty and put a cap on it.... looks alot like an Excursion anyway lol
Haha, but truly I saved you money on this one, a big brand rack is twice what this one cost.. This rack is very solid, I happy with and and have no doubt it will haul 4 e-bikes without issue.. thanks for watching Bill...

Great video. QQ I have a S73 RX Malibu, weighs about 70 without the battery. You think it'll be ok? Also, does this rack have an option to carry just 1 bike? TIA
Thank you!! Yes I believe it will be out, just place it on the rack closet to the car, I place my surron on there all the time and it's 80-85 pounds with out the battery, and I have had no issues.
For another $300 you can get the Thule with a lifetime warranty, quick release and folds away for storage. This will quickly rust and be in the scrap bin
I am not, I am riding a surron now, so If.i take it somewhere I use a motor cycle hitch rack. But I used this one in the video for a long time, trips to California and back you name it, very very solid
I didn't mention it be it does. You can lock the hitch itself to the vehicle, or lock the slide looks on the bike. It's comes with keys for the locks and my kit included the hitch lock also
That seems like a good way to carry bikes, I wonder if I could open the back of my jeep with that rack on there with it tilted down ???? I use a swing out thule rack it works well but I think that one you have does a better job to limit movement of the e bikes. when you going to visit Vanvouver BC and ride with me? I have a super 73 rose ave and a juiced bikes hyper scrambler.
I'm very interested with this rack, and the price point is awesome.. I think it would flip down enough to open your Jeep, and if not the do have hitch extensions so you could have it sit out from the Jeep a couple more inches if needed.. I need to work on my passport, I was born in the Netherlands live in the United States and have lost my birth certificate so it's going to take some doing but I definitely something I am working on I want to come to Canada and ride.. thanks for the comment....
My Thule T2 Pro broke in a fender bender, I'm thinking about replacing it with this. I think one major advantage of this one (other than cost) is that maybe the back up camera will actually work, but on the other hand, it seems to be simpler to put a bike on the Thule rather than this from what I see in the video.
Great video Brian! Thats how a demo is done. Simple, clear and to the point. I just received one of these and your instruction will be very useful when I assemble.
Awesoome video.. my problem is now that i want to also hook a small trailer behind aswell Is there any way to have this bike rack on a hitch and also a be able to pull small trailer
Thanks for watching, I don't think you could pull a trailer with a bike rack on the hitch, the trailer would now have to get attached to the bike rack, and I don't think it would be strong enough to do that.. maybe get a small hitch on the trailer and but the bike rack there
not at all, it also tilts down. i load mine one tire at a time , its a little tricky on the bike closet to the car but not bad, also remove your battery if possible that will help a lot..
Great video .. I have a Juiced Bikes Hyper Scrambler with 4" wide tires and max hitch size for my Subaru Outback is 1.25" .. will this work based on that info? If not, can you recommend a rack that will work with those specs?
Thanks for checking out my video.. yes this rack will work, you will need that hitch adapter because you have a 1.2 and the rack is a 2inch. But this adapter will get you there .. thanks again.. hope this helps.. www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Adapter-Receiver-Extender-Carrier/dp/B07GQV3G3M
@@briandhoward6137 Thanks for responding .. I've read that it's not a good idea to use an adapter 1.25 to 2" which is why I'm having so much difficulty finding a reasonable solution .. Is that just overkill on the part of the manufacturer?
Great video man, how are you liking the Addmotor? I watched your video on it a while back when trying to decide between the RAD Mini and the Addmotor...I ended up with the Mini for a better pedaling position, but still like the looks of the Addmotor.
Thanks for checking out my videos, my wife loves the addmotor, almost 500 miles on it with zero issues. She is short so the pedaling position is not really factor for her but someone that's a little bit taller like me definitely could see why you would choose a different bike because of the pedal position.
I like that this rack comes out of the receiver and goes up to reduce the chance of bottoming out. Looking at bikes now and expecting it will be heavier (and more awkward in shape) than I can manage without a ramp. Just checked the link -- can't be used on an RV. Too bad! Good demo and review!
