Watch them probably sell off a majority of parks, especially on the six flags side because 27 parks are simply impossible to properly manage especially with their budget.

I could definitely see them selling off some parks where they are any overlap. I think their goal is to keep. 1 park per 2.5 hour drive radius. I think their goal is to maintain and grow that, and I don’t think the two parks have a lot of overlap. I think knotts and magic mountain are close, but I think they both do plenty of business since so many people live in California. We will definitely have to wait and see

I don’t expect a raise in prices at cedar fair since six flags season passes are cheaper, but we will have to wait and see!

My home park was a six flags park from 1998 to 2010 so I have seen what they can do. With that being said the part that kinda scares me Alittle is is parks like St. Louis and World of fun. But also seeing stuff like DC and Looney tunes in parks like a kings island. Also I can see more of in CF is more Advertising for stuff like Coke o cola, M&M, whatever coming show want to sponcer them etc.
I don't think this will end well for Cedar Fair parks. On the conference call it stated that Six Flags parks would take priority over Cedar Fair parks. I've been through two mergers. They are just trying to help anxiety down. All the parks will be rebranded Six Flags Six Flags parks suck. Dirty and not well run. The government will make both companies to sell off some parks to get that debt down. Prices will increase across the board. Season passes will be outrageous. Again, consumers will get screwed. Cedar Fair is dead.

Thanks for watching and the comment! I appreciate all your input on this and your experience with mergers. I think you are right that they will focus on six flags parks since they need the most work. Hopefully that doesn’t mean neglect for cedar fair parks.
I could definitely see prices on the six flags side going up once they add some TLC towards the guest experience, and at the same time slowly raise prices for cedar fair. However I expect them to stay well below universal and Disney season pass prices based on their different offerings.
I personally think Gold pass is at an extremely LOW price in august ($99) and a great value for what you get! I hope they don’t increase it astronomically, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more next year.
I know from experience that it won't end well.
SFA used to be known as adventure world and while it was a smaller park they were just starting to receive significant investments at the time then by the end of the 98 season it was announced that adventure world would become SFA for the following season.
Sure from 1999 to 2001 things seemed OK with new investments being made to the park annually and then these investments stopped being made and the park slowly became what it is today....the redheaded stepchild of the six flags chain.
From what I have heard as of now all CF parks are gonna stay the same name. As cf has slightly more stock in this then SF. With that being said I do think assuming everything goes threw . We start to see stuff like Loony tunes and DC character in parks like Kings island, Cedar point, Knots etc. now how that affect peanut’s I don’t know they said that’s staying to
