Isn't it a funny irony that the major Trainers watching Ash here, aside from Red, happen to be from the regions Ash traveled to before... and yet, NEVER met them? Like, say, Selene, Elio, Nate, Rosa, Gloria, etc?
I think they were choosen specifically because they're protagonist characters that never met Ash in the anime, hence why we don't see Lyra, May, Dawn or Serena and their male counterparts watching the tournament
Lear has a Hoopa who tends to be mischievous, and a lot of the people on Pasio were teleported there. Many of them from alternative universes. They don't explicitely say it but in the first short story, Ash was training for the Master Eight tournament and got lost in it. When he stopped training he realised he didn't know where he was. Pasio in game is a manmade island so he can't have accidentally walked there. The odds are Hoopa opened a ring to his universe.
I would not have known Nate, helio was more avatar than anything else when the alola games. the girls yes, it's funny jusyo her, and maybe for the same reason, she didn't know them (hilda is missing) or they don't know what to do yet, with interactions in the game, with the characters historically, we know how to meet ash (misty brock etc etc etc ) That said, Nate, Rosa, Gloria, Selene appear in the Blaziken chapter, they don't want to eat chocolate torchic (ironically, they all see Ash fight in this game against a torchic)
the good thing is that ash finally appears in pokemon masters a spinoff now we have the possibility of him interacting with the pokemon masters trainer with the red character it doesn't matter that it's not the main saga something is something
Same here. Started back up around mid to late July (after the initial event ended, and like a day or two before the end of the Hoenn arc) and I played through Chapters 7-30 of the PML to catch up. Then came the current announcement, and I started saving up Gems while doing the villain arcs and getting some Legendaries. I got him within 3 x10 summons.
Last time i played this game was 3 years ago and i was at the Hau and Sphocles battle stage then just eventually got bored and stopped playing. I redownloaded the game few days ago and well... I had too much free time and just finished the semifinals completly destroying Lear. I lmao'd when i heard they added Ash. Though, he kind of fits this game.
The game's animations are good enough for a Pokémon game. I like how everyone in this game has so much personality and there are even cutscenes that really make it feel like the anime.
It's just so wierd and very convenient by the fact that Brock, Misty, Dawn, May, Iris, or any of Ash's companions in the anime aren't spectating. Maybe cuz of continuity issues.
No continuity issues. Ash was transported to the Pokemon Masters universe by Lear's Hoopa. The reason they probably weren't spectating is because Ash interacting with trainers he already knew would have ruined the flow of the story.
My favorite part would be Ash's friendship with Tina and the player character. Tina would make a great companion, I love the bond between her and Ash. 😊

Ash’s reaction to Solgaleo is awesome. Pardon my bad spelling. I’m a Gen 1-4 guy. Never got a chance to play the other regions. Anyway, it’s cool Ash's anime and movie adventures are canon in this game. That means this game takes place in a multiverse. Which would explain why Ash is here and Red too. Both came from separate universes along with their friends. That is also why Ash remembers Misty, Brock, and his other past companions, but doesn’t mention them. Most likely because the versions of his friends in this game are not the anime versions, but the actual in game versions we all remember. But at least we know now that there’s a multiverse in Pokémon.

Depends on what do you mean as canon. The game is still a spin off so it's hard to fit it with the mainline games but at least it's nice to see Ash being there too.

It makes no sense for ash to be in this timeline. Ash and Gary are alternate versions of Red and Blue. One is the anime version the other is the video game version.

I feel like they truly missed the mark with this because Ash should have been playable during 7th gen after all that's when he won his first ever league as opposed to the orange Islands
like they did with an out of order Villain Arc(Sinnoh, then followed Gen 1-2-3) was to promote P:LA. Maybe they did this to promote the Masters 8 arc in the anime

Depends on what do you mean as canon. The game is still a spin off so it's hard to fit it with the mainline games but at least it's nice to see Ash being there too.

@@Shard_Soldier come on man what's the players pikachu meant to do against 10 million Volt Thunderbolt. Also ash was using amazing strategies throughout the battle like using detect to dodge then spam Fury Cutter to inflict heaps of damage. Ash deserved that win
@@RINEES98 its a fricking dialogue, wdym strategies? All that appeared was each character's pokemon using random attack animations and fainting, and then pikachu battles and, how surprising, he wins cuz of his plot armor.

It makes no sense for ash to be in this timeline. Ash and Gary are alternate versions of Red and Blue. One is the anime version the other is the video game version.
It only happened because Hoopa pulled Ash from anime universe into this game universe. That's all. Red and Ash would never exist in the same universe.

Red and Ash are the same person from different universe (game vs anime universe). This is why in anime Ash never meet Red, and in game Red never meet Ash. Here in Pasio is the only chance they can meet since Hoopa pull Ash from anime universe into game universe here where Red resides.
