Trains are almost always delayed, some do not even enter the station, it's a fucking nightmare. In that regard polish railways are already better than german ones and they are still improwing, while german railways are on the downhill spiral.
The WiFi does actually work and is fine. After connecting an website should appear asking if you want to log in or use as a guest which doesn't happen on some devices. As a guest you need to watch a short ad to use the wifi for limited time.

In my opinion, the delays are related to the division into different companies serving the connections, where the delay of a train from one company causes confusion in the other company, which has to adjust connections to new hours and overlapping train connections. Too much is sometimes worse.
I disagree, because there is one train controller who well controlls all the trains, it has more to do with how much of rail capacity is being used. There are countries with different companies and barely any delayes, and A LOT of countries with a single operator, but with a lot more delays than poland. Around 84% of trains in poland are on time, that is not a bad percentage by any means. In germany 66% of trains are on time. Tough in Austria 97% of trains are on time.

Its is not warsaw-wroclaw train normally go and its not shortest track route, normally you go thru lodz kalisz ostrow wlkp., but the way tracks are it requires direction change mid route in ostrow, thats why faster trains dont go that route to save up time

Now almost 1/3 native young people decide to migrate from Poland to look for better conditions to live.

A different train, but I recently travelled from Bialystok to Poznan and back, and the Wi-Fi was absolutely useless. I can't complain about the price, and 1st class was comfortable enough, though too hot at times. It had no buffet car, just a trolley that came through once. For a six-hour (seven, on return because of a delay) journey I found this unacceptable.

The best way is to take bus 175 or train RL (due to renovation SKM trains doesn't go to Central, only RL does), bus rides ca.30 mins but it departs more often, and train rides ca. 20 mins, but it departs only once an hour. There is the same ticket for bus and train (75 min. ztm ticket) which costs 4,40pln ~1€ (3,30pln 20 min ticket may be to short). I hope I've helped you
I've been traveling this paricular route for 23 years now, between 2 to 8 times each year. And i could count on all my 10 fingers the cases trains arrived on time. :D And from my experience track renovations have very little to do with it; the trains were late before they started, and nothing have changed... Unfortunatelly :(

If you deviate from the escalator, you'll also find plenty of benches on the platform. This is quite well thought out because it does not block the traffic by escalators.
