Wow. Online food ordering with at-seat delivery sounds like a great idea. Someone suggest that to Amtrak.
Rough timestamp 8:09 .
Good luck Amtrak 😢
The ticket office you showed is actually a Kraków public transit customer service point and the train ticket offices are located in a concourse in the southern part of the station. Also, at Kraków Główny there is a tram stop underneath the station hall which I thought I would mention because it's very cool. Great video, can't wait for more videos from Poland.
Thanks! I really wanted to show the underground tram platforms but unfortunately I didn't have a lot of time at the station. My mistake getting the ticket offices messed up
PKP IC offers a very nice service with very comfortable seating. I used the EC/EIC to Warsaw recently and had pierogi in the dining car and nice Polish beer. Looking forward to my next trip on it!
Pkp trains are great! Can't wait to be back
what kind of beer? What was the name?

3:29 sick 😎
Glad someone noticed!
different trains leaving from the same platform is really cool!
sometimes on really busy (or really small stations) you can even have two trains departing from one track in opposing directions (or one after another). This is mostly reserved for regional trains (they tend to be shorter) and it is presented as platform/track/sector combination. It requires either split signalling or written order but is very efficient. With cab signalling you can squeeze maximal throughput from rail infrastructure and it also makes transfer very easy for passengers.
05:45 wow
Thanks for taking another Train in Poland! Btw PKP has a secret that i can tell you actually! you can go to the restaurant cart early and order food early so once you come its ready! (It does not every time but i still wanted to tell)
Oh that's cool about ordering early!
Dylan's Travel Reports brought me here but it's the reverse journey.
5:45 That middle finger, though. hehe
5:46 Looks like Wednesday Addams is watching you.
I'm impressed with the price as it can compete with some low-cost flights depending on the season.
It took the Wawel back in 2014, from Wroclaw to Hamburg. Between Węgliniec and Cottbus a PKP Taigatrommel (6 axle diesel loc). It didn't have a dining car back then so it was a rather long journey.
Pro top: As tickets on the PKP website only go on sale 30 days in advance, it is cheaper to buy the tickets via the Deutsche Bahn (Website & App) as you can buy them there 6 months in advance. Even for journeys in Poland you will get much cheaper tickets there. The only downside: You can't pick your exact seat, only window/middle/isle.
When i was schooling💜one girl by the name of Rita use to come for tutions- she came for 2 years . Her brothers name was Simon / Samson Delilah.
Please do a review onboard Iryo
I didn't realise the Wavel had been rerouted. Took it from Berlin to Wrozlaw (later on to Krakow) in 2011 - it then ran via Cottbus, not Frankfurt-am-Oder. Also, it was just FOUR coaches.
Gotten a lot busier since then!
The original Wawel was discontinued in 2014. The route through Cottbus was longer and required changing the locomotive twice (from 3kV DC to diesel in Węgliniec and from diesel to 15kV AC in Cottbus). Travel time from Kraków was around 10 hours, so no wonder nobody used it, especially with newly-constructed highway network.
Wawel returned in 2020, with a new route that allows the use of a single multi-voltage locomotive and track repairs has been made since. It seems to be getting more and more popular, as the second Kraków-Berlin train (EuroCity Orda) was added in 2023/2024 schedule and the third pair is planned for 2024/2025.
Incredible video! I am actually planing to do this same route around new year’s celebration!
It was very useful resource! Thank you!
One last thing, you recommended buying the ticket online, could you possibly share the website or link to those tickets? Thank you very much and keep up the good work!!
It can both be booked on Deutsche bahns website or PKP the polish railway website.
No border checks is just so insane to me.
How to book online? Plz provide Link or site for booking?
Does this train have wifi?
@@rniestroj yes but it's very unreliable
Will be visiting from the US. What app is used to order food?
It's called mWars
Can you travel on the swedish snälltåget sleeper train from germany to sweden?
Maybe some day in the future! I have a video on one of their day trains coming in the future :-)
Did they check passports on either side of the border?
Some times, mostly going into Germany
a question, is there seats for disabled?
Yes but only in standard class!
:D
Poor effort not to have toilet or towel paper and flush not working
there are usually 2 toilets for every passenger car so you could look around for a one in better condition, and better stocked, but the toilets should be restocked with paper on major stations. Honestly im more surprised if there is toilet paper when travelling with PKP, if you find one with paper towels stocked it's like winning a small prize in a lotto.
Too bad about the bath rooms
I agree
@@Simon-Andersen and how about other toilets (in other cars?)
It happens in covid times paper wos like gold nugget 😂
