I did an oil change on my wife’s 2013 Corolla and discovered that there was a little anti turn lock that prevented the oil filter plastic body from accidentally loosening off. I also discovered that the filter removal adapter that fits on the end of the filter housing makes life a lot easier as you can use a ratchet and extension to get more leverage. The filter on these Corollas has a plastic body and a separate paper filter element. The little metal anti rotation tab thing just pulls out.
Nice video. About to have my 1st oil change done tomorrow at dealership. One of my free ones. Not really free. I know i actually paid for it. My '24 Cross calls for 0W-8. Should i just go with OW-16?
@garysgarage2118 thanks for info. Dealer used 0W-16. I never even bothered to ask why. I used that in my '22 Prius which got flooded in Hurricane Helene. Insurance paid me almost 2000 months than I paid for it and used less than 1500 to buy the Cross LE. I hope it's gonna be as good as my Prius was.

In the USA it is 0W-8. It's for emissions. Either works well in the car.
