I just tried this with only day old hardboiled eggs. Worked like a charm. So whoever is saying the eggs need to be at least a week old or that this doesn't work with fresh eggs is either hardboiling their eggs wrong or just never tried it with fresh eggs.
Wow! I just started lifting/training again&ive always tried to use eggs, but peeling hardboiled was always an inconvenience, until now! At 47yrs old,it seems that i thought i knew everything worth knowing, but this!? This! I am truly impressed!
This will only work if you cook and rinse them properly in the cooking process. Start with boiling water, lower eggs into boiling water, cook 10 minutes, lift out of boiling water with ladle, place into already prepared big bowl of water with lots of ice cubes. Swirl around in ice. Then peel normally or try this guys method. Shells come right off! God Bless you!
MicahMedia I am a diabetic type 2 and food control is key. But that doesn't mean I can't boil a lot of eggs at a time and then make them into appropriate meals for myself. Thanks for posting this. It is now one of my go to video faves.

After you boil the eggs just empty the hot water and fill the pan back up with cold tap water and let sit for 15 minutes. The shell peels right off after the eggs cool.
I saw the one with two eggs first and tried it and it worked! This is even better with more eggs, thanks for a very useful tip, I'd just say buy organic free range eggs, they taste so much better!
Thanks for posting I destroyed over 24 eggs in one day and said “where the hell is the Tupperware bowl? Grab the bowl added 4 eggs cold off ice snapped the lid and shook....and I could not believe it the peels feel off!!!! Awesome. These were freshly laid today eggs also. Your the egg peeling king!
I am so glad i watched this video. I made a dozen hardboiled eggs and i wanted to try this so i used one egg in a cup to try it out, well I found out the yoke was still uncooked (I am 51 and known to be a good cook) This has never happened to me before. But as i tried only one I am now going to put the rest back and try to fix it. lol
Oh my goodness! Peeling eggs is always dreadful for me. They seem to stick to the egg more often than not. I'm going to boil eggs today just to try this! Thanks for sharing. What a great idea!
A way to get them not to stick to the egg is to wait for the water to boil before you put the eggs in. Then put them in the boiling water for 20 minutes. The shells will fall right off when you crack them!
You are famous now..! ●▽● i am from Indonesia n i was reading an article how to peel an egg easily on an online newspaper n it brought me here. this is amaziiiiing..! thank you

i hate peeling hard boiled eggs - no matter how they say to do it, almost half don't peel well cause the membrane sticks to the egg. I'm going to try this. 5 out of 6 is a really good result. thanks :}
HEY I BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS. I use the same pan i boil them in. after draining off the water put in a bit of cold water and lid ,, then shake. better than making more dirty dishes. and i can do a dozen for salads or what ever at one time.
I've seen the videos shaking one at a time in a mason jar w/ water.......way to go for using your noggin to increase it to FIVE at a time. I just went through the torture an hour ago, without any of this knowledge and the tension in my shoulders is still killing me. I boiled a dozen eggs to make the Amish Mustard Pickled Eggs, and each one is torn up in at least one or two places. I hope next time I will be as successful as you when I make more!!!! Thanks!
Dan Strickland Shake it again, you should have a chicken. The lamp is to keep the chicken warm. :P Remember to not shake the chicken too hard, unless you want scrambled eggs.
I have tried this and it works just let me point out a few things. It works better if your eggs are cold and also I found three at a time seem to work the best. Try it it works great and you do not need to shake them all that hard
Absolutely unnecessary though, it's like the ice water can just be plain cold water, and then there are people adding salt, doesn't help, Vinegar, doesn't help, although it can thin out the shell, but there are so many Egg myths, like you have to use older Eggs, nonsense

I had to stick around b/c of the happy music being played. Where may I hear that again? May I upload that music? BTW the egg in the center that did not release its shell cud be put in a cup of water to finish the group. Lots of fun thanks
did you peel the eggs this way right out of the hot water after they were cookied or did you let them cool before adding tap water in the bowl with the eggs?
I just tried this. I peeled a total of 24 eggs from two different cartons. The fresher eggs actually did peel easier than the older eggs. The 12 that were scheduled to expire mostly peeled, but two completely disintegrated, while the rest had huge chunks of missing egg white. I didn't shake very hard. After boiling, I put them into ice water. I shook 3 at a time in tap-cold water, inside a tupperware. I filled it with water halfway up the side of the eggs. The fresher eggs peeled perfectly and easily. I wouldn't recommend shaking very hard, just make sure you shake enough and circulate the eggs around to hit all sides repeatedly. Also, my house officially smells like rancid asshole. It's giving me a headache.
Bill C I DID 6-7 IN A BOWL THE EGGS WHERE A COUPLE WEEKS OLD THEY SAT I FRIDGE OVER NIGHT I USED WARM WATER AND SHOOK VERY HARD THEY ALL CAME OFF EASY AND NOT ONE BROKE OR HAD ANY TEARS IN THEM!!!!
Bill C Bill, you are making the assumption that the eggs you buy from the store are FRESH, as in pretty much direct from the chicken, and that is wrong, they're already weeks if not a month old when they arrive. The ones that are nearly expired are REALLY OLD, like 2 months or so. So while you COULD say old eggs peel easier than really old eggs, the truth remains that store "fresh" (i.e. old) eggs will peel easier than farm "fresh" (practically straight from the chicken) any time. So if you buy from your local farmers market, then yes let the eggs sit for a week or two in the fridge for easy-peel boiled eggs.
Listen I have fresh chicken eggs daily and have never been able to peal them without losing a lot of the white and basically making a big mess. I do not want to wait for a month to boil the eggs when they are easier to peal. So I discovered this: boil your fresh eggs til almost cooked and then take the eggs out and crack them and boil them another minute or two. put them in ice water and they peal so easily. I cook them also in baking soda. But cracking them and re boiling them is the key to success!
Looks Awesome! One point though. NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER boil an egg. Hard cook them. Bring the water to a boil, remove from heat and cover. Let them stand for 15 minutes. Voila, hard cooked eggs.
Did you do that with smoke and mirrors? That is amazing. Now I want to try it. Which end do you blow in, the small one of the big one? And which end has the small hole? The flat end or the pointed end?
+Burgandy Ortega I'm sorry. I watched another video before this one and thought I was replying to the other one. Now I feel like a dork. Anyway, I'm going to try our method tomorrow.
something about the fresher eggs and I do mean fresh as in 4 days of having been under a hen: they don't peel like your store bought ones that have been around a month or two

I don't get how you are able to do it so neatly. Every time I try this I get a mess.
Saw this on a site in England and it works every time for me. Put eggs in water and bring to boil for four minutes then remove from burner and set aside for 20 minutes then put in ice water for a few minutes and they peel right off.
Glad it works for you! Happy peeling!!

who would of thought that!!!! it really was amazing! i have to try this!!! (GREAT TIP)
You do it in glasses in other videos... could it be that you require a hard surface to perform, which would explain why it didn't do as well here; the plastic was absorbing some of the energy, and that 6th egg sitting in the middle was protected by the other five ?
Is this straight from the boiling water or do you wait for them to cool? I know you can get nicely peeled eggs after leaving them in cold water.
Thanks, I will be doing this from now on.
That 6th egg was the rebel of the group. There's no telling it what to do. It's on a mission.

Not sure where the music is from but you can always reply the video to play it again.
Never works for me. Always splits the egg white. End up having to peel it all off by hand. Not sure why!?
this is way better than blowing the egg out of the shell
question: do it immediately, when the eggs are still warm, or can you "forget" about the eggs and do it later, when they are room temp?
Do you do this while the eggs are still hot? Or do you wait until they are cold?
I tried it - it did not work for me. The eggs broke in half and I still had to peel them.
👍🏼 SIX eggs, you mean
I'm not a rocket scientist.... but I'm sure there were SIX eggs in the bowl ..... lol.
Thanks for wonderful tips.
did you peel the eggs this way right out of the hot water after they were cookied or did you let them cool before adding tap water in the bowl with the eggs?
I put my eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes first to cool them down...less chance any of them will split when you shake them up that way.
yes do you you no how
I may not be the smartest person ever but that's six eggs!
I just tried this. I peeled a total of 24 eggs from two different cartons. The fresher eggs actually did peel easier than the older eggs. lmfaoooo omg. You made my day. boiled eggs do smell like rancid asshole.
@@lizdallas3157I guess you have to smell both to know that. Thank you Liz, for doing that for us.
Enjoyed the video and going to try right now!
How do I shake it in slow motion ? xD

were the eggs cooled when you added the water and shook them? Thank You. Looks foolproof.
Looks Awesome! One point though. NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER boil an egg. Hard cook them. Bring the water to a boil, remove from heat and cover. Let them stand for 15 minutes. Voila, hard cooked eggs.

cool stuff man, keep it up
something about the fresher eggs and I do mean fresh as in 4 days of having been under a hen: they don't peel like your store bought ones that have been around a month or two
So all the eggs have to be able to hit the sides of whatever container they are in to work.
+Udoka O Yup
excellent! it's simple!thank you very much!
