What has been your favorite mashup? Or what mashup would you like to see next?
Neither, you should just keep the guests in order and not do this. confuses tf outta civi’s
@jajajajaitschris1950 it's literally the people who were there telling the story of how each individual warrior witnessed it with their own eyes. Either way, the stories match like butterfly wings, and the story flows like a stream!
Shipley and Redman
Shawn/Production Team - they are all EPIC, but if you guys somehow manage to get MSgt. Kevin Holland on, he would be able to provide direct insight as to the hit on the farm. Combining all three would make for a truly SPECTACULAR story. Sadly, as the only publicly know warfighter to be part of Dev and CAG, he has done VERY few interviews. I think an interview with Shawn would make for an amazing episode that could impact lives on both the civilian and service sides.
A lady both these guys probably know passed of cancer a couple of years ago.
This is awesome. Really great idea to combine interviews of people involved the same event and hear it from 2 perspectives
that was cool
I’m glad these psychopaths are on our side
the first guy is legit the 1st gay delta force member in history
@@festishagen4379DC
The world's most criminal country's psychopaths telling how they illegally invaded a weaker country and massacred it's population.
Fair play boys...i lost my best friend. Marine Andrew Bowling. Was hit by cross fire in the neck and died November 2004 in Iraq. He was 24 years old. He had only 2 weeks left to serve and was done. I spoke to him October 2004 and was planning on meeting up with him in January. I was living in Ireland. I flew in January and met his mother. I was devastated. RIP Andrew. Will be always be a legend.
I was in that fight with him. BoF2. (I didn't know him personally). I was hit Nov 22. Almost died. We lost 26 that month. Countless injured. He is NEVER forgotten. Trust me!
Cross fire? You mean friendly fire?
May his soul RIP but also blame your government. Bush admited that they were wrong about Saddam but so many lives were lost, in particular, the head of state was killed. This documentary is still labeling him as a bad person
@@lwazibaca9382he was a bad person
I'm a retired 11Z (85-2009). I'll say it, no one likes to admit it, we were lied to, OIF 1.
Also. Saddam was holding it down and keeping the Ayatolla and his minions in check.
There was no AL Queda in Iraq until we showed up.
Yes! You are right! I was there in Doha right before it kicked off. I knew we were lied to.
We became training dummies for every terrorist in the Middle East. As evil as all the guys were that we eliminated, did it really make a positive difference in that part of the world? I guess we will never know, and it’s heartbreaking.
I’m sorry you were lied to by your own government, but thank you for your service nonetheless sir
What a waste of money, lives and reputation.
Yup. Too bad Bush and the GOP sent us into this BS war
Chris was one of my favorite interviews. Seems like a really good dude.
You’d never know he was a Delta operator. Really cool guy.
@@rhysgoodman7628 Agreed, You would never know.
I found a picture of him in when he was in Kuwait
The Force Recon dudes I got to work with are the same. Very low key, and you wouldn’t know what they do unless you saw them in uniform with a double bubble.
different breed these delta guys, sharp as tacks, tough as nails and extremely personable
Please don’t stop these! As a history buff civilian this kind of first hand experience of historical world events is paramount to learning the whole story. Also these guys are the baddest of the bad holy
I watched both of these interviews. I watched all three parts of Tom's yesterday. Mashups like this are awesome. A mashup of Tyler Grey and Tom talking about PTSD might help a lot of Veterans who have that feeling of no one caring. Awesome interviews, Shawn. The crew that puts these videos together are amazing at what they do.
Yes that would be amazing!
Omg that Tom interview was intense…. So many emotions
Still waiting on the WMD to be discovered 20 years later 🙄
I just finished finished up the podcasts with Tom Satterly. I appreciate how you let people talk and youre a sniper with the questions. Its pretty cool too that you put these mash ups together to tell a story with multiple perspectives
90% of people I talk to from Iraq say that Iraq was a lot better off when Saddam Hussein was in power
If you love dictatorship just go to nord korea
How many Iraqi’s have you spoken with about this so I can run the numbers? And where are you from?
@@runforcoverrockssandiego5352 اhe’s right I have a lot of family who disliked the guy yet all admit the country was a lot better when he was in power
Chris’ interview was so good, he can describe everything in detail and it feels like you’re there. Highly intelligent and an extremely dangerous warrior. Thank god for people like Chris. Thank you for your service. Never ever judge a book by its cover.
I spent 8 years in the 82nd 1st/504th and 3 years with Triple Canopy. I remember being an E nothing on my 1st OIF deployment (first deployment ever actually) and the Delta Ninjas came through our FOB to stage for a mission we obviously weren’t aware of, but I’m fairly certain it was this. Every single one of those shooters walked and talked in a manner that I can’t quantity in words, but even as a young kid who knew very little about Special Forces at that point I knew these were dangerous men; the apex predators if you will.
So true. You can tell they're the most badass that live today.
Cool story bro
Can you try and use words to explain your perception of them.
Take your time.
I’m dying of curiosity😭

Airborne Brother ❤
Brilliant work, men. Thank you all for your selfless incomparable service. 🇺🇸
Thank you for killing babies in the middle east?? I guess
Love the double perspective cuts .. hearing the same story from 2 different people's eyes is like a visual documentary for the ears ... Great job
as an iraqi catholic, I truly believe wholeheartedly you guys are heroes but damn i wish you guys never killed nor went there ….
They're not heros. They went there for the oil. They robbed your country. They're not the good guys. Media tries to make it seem that way though.
George Bush wanted revenge against Saddam for trying to kill his father when he was President.
I think he could’ve accomplished that without going to war. War brings too much collateral damage AND it breeds hate.
At least you can vote and have F16s to protect you now 👍
What a cool opportunity to hear these incredible stories from different perspectives. For one, it validates what these guys are telling us. You can never tell with SF stories. It also adds gravity to these events. Hearing what went through their minds before, during and after is more valuable than the event itself. Thanks Sean, keep up the good work.
This was an excellent combo. Excellent integration of stories. Nice to hear the different perspectives.
Bragging about invading a country for no reason. And we wonder why the world hates us.
So much respect for what you just said.. thank you
I absolutely love all your vids Shawn, but these 2 in particular are my absolute favorite you’ve done and they both happen to be delta force, the tip of the spear. Such well spoken guys and awesome to listen too.
Cpl wimps
This mashup is awesome Shawn, thanks mate 👍
I really enjoy these mixes of interviews, giving multiple perspectives on a topic. Fantastic work.
I love these kind of mashups. Awesome when stories align across multiple interviews.
Me too
VERY Much looking forward to this one. Watched both episodes, this will be a nice combination. Thank You Shawn and the production team!
Just as a reminder, the war in Iraq (an its destruction) was created over a lie. These guys are brave a valorous men you have on your show, my respect.
Iraq turned out alot better than Afghanistan. It actually has a functional gov now.
So if you know the truth about the 1991 gulf war then you will understand why the former Bush 41 staffers were hell bent on “Saddam had something to do with 9/11”. Several reporters were black balled for covering the truth on 1991. It turns out we “gifted” Saddam oil wells or we had Kuwait gift him oil. Then saddam sent oil workers in to see what they gave him. We announced “SADDAM INVADES KUWAIT” so Saddam sends his military in to get his oil workers out. Basically so he could save face with the Iraqi people. I think he feared the Iraqis would turn on him if he just left them. -- so 9/11 happens and those former staffers responsible for that operation. Saddam is the only guy they can think of that would want revenge that bad. It turns out 1946-2000 we overthrew 83-100 governments covert/overtly. So any logical person will understand, we had atleast 83 enemies in the world! --- then in 2011-2014 the cia funds or trains terrorist to basically go overthrow Syria, the idea was make Syria have no choice but to invite us military in to fight “this enemy”. All so we could get control of the NE oil fields. -- remember originally we tried the same thing we did with saddam. The cia paid the Kurds to go overthrow Iraqi government right after the gulf war ended. And saddam gassed them to put down the uprising. Fast forward we try to overthrow Syria via a group and Assad gassed them. Remember Obama was trying to go to war over the gas attacks. but Americans spoiled his plan and refused to support his operation. We also did this is Nicaragua. The cia created Terrorist group A to destabilize. Then they create group B “The Freedom Fighters” to go eradicate Group A, it turns out they created both. A cia whistle blower came out and told the truth.
I was in one of the units that was sealing off chemical weapon facilities in Iraq. We buried them in concrete.
Yeah the Iraq war was a crime. The whole reason this war was started was because Iraq supposedly (a lie) had Weapons of Mass Destruction. The weapons were never found after the fact. Millions of innocent people died and so did many American soldiers for nothing. America was never in any threat or risk. Very sad. BS war. And George Bush never was charged with any crime or anything.
Tell that to the gassed kurds, just the kurds in general.
My cousin died in Bagdad in 08, i had multiple deployments to Afghanistan starting December 2001. I know ppl from Iraq ,they said things were better with sadam as president.
lots of iraqi refugees in my country say the same thing. they say yes he was brutal but what the west fails to understand is the cultural difference in how to hold a society together. and Saddam knew how to keep all the religious fanatics on the low. Since saddam is gone its been a mess even more.
Thanks for being there for us Shawn...and your troopers. I was Cav, armored but got some
Great mashup. Man Shawn, you and most of your guests would be great to sit down with to just pick your brains. Not just you military experiences but the other parts of your life's. I'm glad to see there is a place for men like you guys to speak and express yourselves freely. Salute to my fellow service men. 🫡
All of you guys are Awesome ..Thank you.
why they invaded a country based on lies and have shat it from iran who is making WMD
I have to say I’m kinda happy that I watched these videos days apart like literally 4 days of watching theses videos and let me just say wow I loved every second of them both thank you both for what you’ve been through and done
Thank you Shawn for pointing out the Money Situation....I was BLOWN AWAY that in that moment...they would think of that. THANK GOD FOR ALL THESE GUYS❤❤❤
The effort to tell as many sides of a story as possible, is absolutely beautiful.
Amazing podcast. Thank you Tom. Keep kicking butt Shawn!
This was a great idea with them telling their side. And they were great interviews (maybe the best on here).
Both these guys seem like really great guys.
As a civilian, i can't imagine how any of these tier 1 operators do these missions. The missions being fast paced, with little to no sleep. While still prforming with nothing short of their best.
Love hearing their stories.
I wish i could have a beer or two with them.
Amazing mashup Shawn. Keep up the great work
These stories are amazing Shaun especially love listening to Tom he’s a dude! And love his story telling! 💪🏻
Shawn, a great addendum to this would be to interview Eric Maddox. He was an interrogator during this time, providing intel for Delta, eventually leading to Saddam's whereabouts. He's a fascinating man.
"...because that's not what we do".
That shit hit me in the heart.
AWESOME video!!! Please do more! This will hopefully reach those that cant listen to long podcast
the mashup was awesome!!!!! the different perspectives and communication make the story more exciting. those two are nothing short of BADASS AMERICAN HEROS. THOSE DUDES HAVE BRASS BALLS11
I’m 26 so a lot of this I don’t know a lot about because I was so young - Shawn Ryan and guests thank you for telling these stories. All young people need to hear from yall
Congrats on the success and thanks for your service Shawn. Love listening to these stories. Documenting a piece of history
Really great interview as always and as others of pointed out, intertwining the interviews and giving different perspectives made it that much more interesting.
QQ: Around 8:00, did anyone else catch when Tom was explaining the Thanksgiving scenario and said "the guy Tony took his own life after that." Was he referring to president Bush's Secret Service member?
Love these mashups that give differing lenses of the same event.
I’m glad to hear that. We will continue making these to combine stories that you hear on the show.
Thank you all, Gentlemen, for this outstanding channel and sharing this remarkable story!
Definitely enjoyed this video! Thank you
My section was on patrol in Basra that day, celebratory fire was crazy and it was raining bullets across the city.
Mahalo nui loa for your service braddah! 🇺🇲🤙
Love how the interrogator ''set up shop'' near the airport lol. I can only imagine lol.
The range of guests are mind blowing! When are you going to write a Book 📚?
Thanks Mr. Ryan
1st time here, love the content but especially the setup and background too of wherever you filmed this… very unique and tasteful 👍 😊
I absolutely love when u collaborate interviews like this!!!!!! Love it. Please keep it up. Love the ur pod cast.
Really liked these two interviews
Interesting how they see things that went on there
Very intense
Absolutely documenting history.
My Air Cav unit was freshly arrived to Anaconda (Balad) when this happened. A lot of air activity out of Balad that night. So awesome hearing these firsthand accounts of what happened in Dec 2003.
Thx you Shawn... my wife told me to put the phone away. I can't get enough of these stories!
Thx you Sir
Excellent, excellent interviews with both of them
Look at the camera angles @23:40 and following.
Now look at any late night host and notice the physical elevation difference between host and guest.
This camera work by the SRS, which raises up it's guests rather than literally talk down to them, demonstrates a remarkable sense of humility by Mr. Ryan.
Thank you!
These last 3 days have been mind blowing,
Tom, Much Respect, and thank you Shawn for showing me how these people get rid of evil in this world,it is mind blowing,
God bless you guys & awesome work. We can't thank you enough
Love the format great idea!
Those are nice interviews. You have a nice way of listening and not interrupting the speaker when they are flowing. Nice touch - very well done.
The USA made a colossal mistake. George W. Bush was nearly as bad a POTUS as Joe Biden is currently, and that is saying something. Why not do an episode Shawn trying to explain to us all where the WMDs were/or if they even existed. You lost many good and brave soldiers in Iraq and have George W. Bush to thank for those terrible losses I grieve for all those brave warriors.
Man stfu it’s one man , no president is perfect
This is a really cool compilation, firsthand accounts of a piece of history. It’s a little heartbreaking when Tom says “oh yeah, bin laden, saddam, we got him, big deal. Next target.” Like they’re rolling a boulder up a hill
I appreciate the stories they are fascinating … I respect these guys a lot living in Ocean Beach near Coronado … I’ve met a few different seals and special forces guys through the gym and community…
Hello thank for all of your great videos and for everyone that has come to speak of their personal experiences .
If I may ask a question to the host Shawn what kind of watch are you wearing and who is the manufacturer I had to ask I’m a watch collector and have been since I was a young kid thank you for your time
This was a great show Shawn…. Thank you for your Service Brother!!
man.. thanks for what you do and god bless you all.
THIS mashup was awesome, 2 guys from the same op.
Funny how a place responsible for so much evil can freely call someone else evil....incredible!!
Just found this channel and it's awesome!!
“All wars are bankers wars” and your the order followers.
Exactly. So many still think they're fighting for the people when the military couldn't care less for the people.
Cry about it 😂
@@faq187tim9 They only cry when it’s their kid that dies unless they are so brainwashed they believe it’s was for the greater good.
@brensway Thier kids aren't dying, though. I would much prefer if the US didn't invade Iraq. On that same note, though, I don't think we should apologize either.
Great work Sean as always!
I was in Iraq, for OIF-1. I remember being there when they announced that they had found & captured Sadam. My old 4th ID INF. BN. Had been there, as a part of that, from what I heard. I had been in 1/8th INF. BN., 4th ID, during the majority of my first enlisted. I had actually deployed to Iraq, in '03, from Germany, though. Watching this was very moving for me. Potentially, slightly triggering as well. However, that's why I've been working with a therapist for quite some time now. Thank you for publicating this, I appreciate it.
It’s amazing how these guys can so cohesively tie the story together despite two separate interviews
I love these mix ups. Very cool to hear the different sides of the story.
The Tom Satterly interview stuck with me. I can't really understand why, and I did not serve in the military at all, but something about him just hit me in some way that I can't explain and has got me watching every SRS interview i come across that involves any Delta operator or Navy Seal
I'm glad they showed the deck of cards. I still have mine.
I still have those deck of cards in great condition. Only ever opened it and looked at them once or twice.
Thank you guys for your service
Chris' interview was the best military interview I've ever seen. Seems like a super cool dude and his Delta stories are bad ass
I think I've seen this one before... But you do the best interviews EVER!!
this was brilliant learning about world events from the people actually there on the ground
I love the real footage rolled into the interview. I bet it’s super time consuming but man it really accentuates the story.
It's great that these guys are not only American heroes but pretty damn good storytellers!!
Everyone is a superhero in their own movie
Great episode!!
I personally know Tom and his wife I swear I enjoyed listening to him talk about the Blackhawk down events and the war in Iraq he is such cool guy
Thank you.👍👍
Great conversation
Incredible dedication of these humans are totally amazing.
I lovebthese type of videos where we get all sides to the rabbit hole
This is the greatest podcast/interview show/program/media of our recent history.
When i watch shawn podcast i feel learning History class I am from Ethiopia much love❤❤❤
It's just a next "dude" it never ends! Such a powerful statement, and hits so hard. Let's see who is next?
I did some electrical work for one of the soldiers or his dad (can't remember exactly) on a barn he had. Pretty sweet setups and he had an actual photo of when they found him. Clean white pajamas but he looked really rough. It's crazy that they were that close to all of it
Thank You for this.
I was on one of the "tanks" outside the house at BIAP,only they were Bradley Fighting Vehicles, not tanks. We guarded that house for the first six weeks that Saddam was in captivity. Saddam had cardiac issues and we had to have a QRF ready to go at a moments notice to take him to the MASH unit down the street. I sat on the road to BIAP guarding the entrance for most of that Thanksgiving. We had a Thermite Thanksgiving in our little chow hall while all the Pogue's got to eat with W.
Thank you for your service. God Bless you
This is my favorite pod ever. Thank You for the great work.
Shaun and Mike Glover are killing it with the podcast. Thanks for always giving awesome interviews. My favorite two Podcaster.
The fact he had thousands of us dollars that had numerical serial numbers makes me wonder if our government was funding them
What makes you think that?
