I am a retired Port Authority Police Inspector and Shawn, watching your interview with Rob made me extremally proud of the sacrifices that you men have made for our country. My department lost 37 members of the force on 9/11. I witnessed the devastation and the pain it caused to the families of ALL who gave up their lives that day. As Rob said that the families of those who lost family members will never get closure with the killing of that POS. However it makes one proud that their are men like Rob and you that give all for our country. God Bless you and keep you. I was thinking same thing, he went into fine detail on this one & really cool to hear about where/how he grew up, etc. & his whole journey that led him to ultimate be standing 3 feet in front of Bin Laden 👀
Shawn has seriously set the standard for what an “in depth” interview should be. Man, we can keep commenting on your videos, saying “this is awesome”, but words don’t do this justice.
anyone that served our nation (veteran) ask yourself this question and reflect on the (proper) answer from your toughest/most challenging time in the military and/or "deployed": in 2011+; were these personnel fighting (each other/in print and media) over this "trophy" status the core of (the) abyss of our nations (ability) to conduct such an operation then, today and in the future. from such a "2-prong" operation the overt depth of "look" at me. it was "me" is amazing. it is not "a" free pass (a trident); but it is "earned" (within context). the "silence" of inertia to complete that mission is not "overt". although mr. o'neil's words "are" overt, actual, and on "video". i am (so) glad it gets him "some" free drinks in domestic/"international" airports. great "YT" marketing.

Good thing about Rob is if you ask him a question, you won't need another question for about 35 minutes. The dude comes prepared to TED talk and with jokes.
The most surprising is his jokes and positive attitude about all the shit he’s been thru. He also took something out of everything, got life lessons from things
And his jokes and shit are ACTUALLY FUNNY. Like, imagine being through all the shit he's been through and still being that positive and just overall content with life past present and future. Awesome shit. 🔥💯💯💯
Quite simply the best interview I've ever seen. Mr. O'Neill is a Patriot of the highest order. I thank him and his team and pray for a quiet peaceful life for all of them.
Absolutely! That is one of my peeves about hosts, they act like the fools who hosts the "tonight show". Its ridiculous; are you the guest or are they?! Lol.
That's where the skill is in interviewing these guys. When you listen to DJ and how much he shared that was crazy and definitely cause he just felt comfortable doing it.
I heard this story twenty times, but this time was the best. Shawn has a way of extracting the best interviews. Something about sitting back and letting people tell their stories
Because he's a Team Guy he knows how to ask the right questions the right way. Not so what happened he guides the story so we all totally understand. Thats why this story most of us already heard was so much better the details. And you know all the seals on here just feel way more comfortable just sitting there bullshitting with another seal. And I really like the way Shawn will say hold on real quick for the audience and explain what some of the lingo means.

What I appreciate the most out of Shawn’s videos is just his ability to listen, let the person talk and ask the right questions. Amazing trait to have and is something I’m trying to get better with on the daily.
So many people are rightly in awe of these men because they can do what the vast majority of us only wish we can do. When I hear these stories, I'm struck by how humble these men are, and how the stories, as cool as they are, come with an unimaginable emotional burden that only they can understand. What struck me most was how Rob talks about the humanity. You can see that this is a true story just by watching his emotions when he talks about the children; that can't be faked. Thank you, Sean, for yet another incredible interview. 3.5 hours, and it's riveting as always. Thank you for actually calling out HALIBURTON and CHENEY!!!! So many of these interviews focus on just the gun fighters and training... but never touch on the politics. Its good to hear you guys actually say what we all know.
I think a lot of the Special Operators feel the same way about what is happening. Just think about the type of person it takes to do what they do. Serious attention to detail, ability to problem solve quickly, a bunch of stuff I don’t know. If shite hits the fan here in America the Ex Special Ops guys are going to be the Tip of the Spear again for the Patriots fighting for our Constitutional Rights and Freedoms. All of the Operators I have heard in interviews were Trump supporters and anti Democrat. And there are thousands of these badasses. Tens of thousands of combat vets.
Everybody calls out Halliburton and Cheney. Problem is Cheney and Halliburton could make just as much money without war. Halliburton just filled a niche that they know the war will create. And all companies that rely on government contracts higher people from government, and many of those people circulate back into government. Invading Iraq was something that the CFR folks were pushing for since desert stor. And there are companies that profit more from the war machine than Halliburton did or does. Seems more like enemies of the petro dollar and global banking will get America, Europe, Israel and the Saudis to resort to military violence
I've seen every piece of Rob O content out there- this was really outstanding and different. Much more detailed and gripping. Shawn you are literally the GOAT

Fellow Brit here - our boys aren't treated any differently. I respect the shit out of their military and our own - I just despise the suites who sent our boys over with no long term strategy. Now Afghanistan is in the hands of the Taliban, Iraq is in the hands of ISIS and Libya is being fought over by various groups including Islamic radicals where before it had been a peaceful, well organised country. All of those deaths on both sides, all the tragedy, all the suffering and all of the trillions - for fucking nothing. How can you not be cynical about the policitians.
I've heard Rob tell his story many times on many different forums and this still kept me watching for every second, and I still heard so many things from him that I haven't before. Gotta give you props Shawn 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you Shawn for this episode. If I ever had a chance to run into Rob, I would never have to ask him about what transpired during his times in the Teams or on the OBL raid. This answered a lot of the curiosity I had. Also, I would want Rob, just like Marcus, to continue on with their lives without having to dig up the past everyday. Both men like them, and many others in different branches of the military, have earned the right to move on with their lives and to start that next chapter in peace.
The thing that makes you a great soldier (in my opinion), is the fact that you will look back with a conscious and wonder about the things you have done. You did them for justice and peace and I am unequivocally thankful for your sacrifice! I am honored to be sharing this planet with a man like you Rob!
these tip of the "spear" interviews are good. some (not most) but some commucnate the interlecaul/educated process of how they got to where "they" were; and that can assist/help others the same (in any field). many just yap of "that" mission and this "mission" and there "i" was. always stating they are not revealing sensitive information/missions. i was in mazar-e-shariff when (DoD) this mission (occurred). towards the end of the year 2011 i met (in a DFAC/eating) in kabul; a detachment of helo/blackhawk mechanics just at that base for a few days. no there was no "bragging" of there "i" was in this big mission (if they were). but the E8 stated indirectly about the mission; would "any" of them (operators) would have gotten (bin laden mission/may 2011) to that courtyard if those helos were not in "top" performing condition due to the mechanics/teamwork? he was correct then as he is "today".; "heroes" are not all in the front line news nor should they be for operational purposes. if you ask many (oneil) you would think the rigged, fixed, prepped and fueled the helos "themselves" and since it was "about" them and only "them".
Can’t thank you guys enough for everything you’ve done for this country (most of which we will ever even know) these are the kind of men who make me proud to be an American. The way Rob explains how he felt worrying about the potential missile that could take out his helo on the Bin Laden raid is the same thought process I had after my gun truck was hit by an IED in Iraq. "As long as you keep quitting tomorrow."..... I've learned that no matter how bad one of my days are going, if I just stick with it until the end of the day, I'll be back tomorrow. I've had days where time seemed to be going backwards and I had to talk myself through every minute. The feeling you get at the end of pushing through a shitty day is rewarding. At the end of the day I'm always glad I came.
Keep on with this pod cast to show America the greatness of the men and women that live and die for us.
"If you can keep quitting tomorrow, you can make it in life."

Shawn has seriously set the standard for what an “in depth” interview should be. Man, we can keep commenting on your videos, saying “this is awesome”, but words don’t do this justice.
thank you!
I couldnt agree more..
Think Rogan or Jocko did it years ago
anyone that served our nation (veteran) ask yourself this question and reflect on the (proper) answer from your toughest/most challenging time in the military and/or "deployed":
in 2011+; were these personnel fighting (each other/in print and media) over this "trophy" status the core of (the) abyss of our nations (ability) to conduct such an operation then, today and in the future.
from such a "2-prong" operation the overt depth of "look" at me. it was "me" is amazing. it is not "a" free pass (a trident); but it is "earned" (within context).
the "silence" of inertia to complete that mission is not "overt". although mr. o'neil's words "are" overt, actual, and on "video". i am (so) glad it gets him "some" free drinks in domestic/"international" airports.
great "YT" marketing.
Agreed!
Love that Ryan lets his guests talk and doesn’t constantly interrupt them.

His way of interviewing, second to none. He let's them speak and asks only when the timing is there. Great job.

Good thing about Rob is if you ask him a question, you won't need another question for about 35 minutes. The dude comes prepared to TED talk and with jokes.
The most surprising is his jokes and positive attitude about all the shit he’s been thru. He also took something out of everything, got life lessons from things
Mad respect for Rob O’Neil !
He’s a solid dude
And his jokes and shit are ACTUALLY FUNNY. Like, imagine being through all the shit he's been through and still being that positive and just overall content with life past present and future. Awesome shit. 🔥💯💯💯

Lol...what skills, O'Neil talked the entire time. Just fucking with ya, Shawn is getting really good at this shit
these tip of the "spear" interviews are good. some (not most) but some commucnate the interlecaul/educated process of how they got to where "they" were; and that can assist/help others the same (in any field).
many just yap of "that" mission and this "mission" and there "i" was. always stating they are not revealing sensitive information/missions.
i was in mazar-e-shariff when (DoD) this mission (occurred). towards the end of the year 2011 i met (in a DFAC/eating) in kabul; a detachment of helo/blackhawk mechanics just at that base for a few days.
no there was no "bragging" of there "i" was in this big mission (if they were).
but the E8 stated indirectly about the mission; would "any" of them (operators) would have gotten (bin laden mission/may 2011) to that courtyard if those helos were not in "top" performing condition due to the mechanics/teamwork?
he was correct then as he is "today".; "heroes" are not all in the front line news nor should they be for operational purposes.
if you ask many (oneil) you would think the rigged, fixed, prepped and fueled the helos "themselves" and since it was "about" them and only "them".

These interviews with your fellow men, are some of the upmost important conversations to have, as well as the most incredible testimonies to document. I hope you're getting these transcripts printed put because from what these men are saying, on every show, we will lose all bit of knowledge if we don't stop trusting the cloud. All it takes is one agenda to finally move forward, and boom, we are thrown back to the basics. These testimonies are some of the education kids in school should be receiving... real, raw, actual facts and actual eye witness accounts of some of the most horrible yet highly important topics. Thank you, and I promise, my kids will hear these lessons to be learned.

The way Rob explains how he felt worrying about the potential missile that could take out his helo on the Bin Laden raid is the same thought process I had after my gun truck was hit by an IED in Iraq. It was like an awakening. No amount of worrying will stop it from happening again. If it is meant to be, it will be.
I figured out a long time ago that worrying doesn’t do shit for you. It simply hinders you from doing a good job. Like you said. If it is meant to be, it will be.

I have watched a lot of Rob O’Neill interviews and this is by far the best one. A lot of interviewers ruin the entire interview by interrupting their guest! Good job on just letting the Rob tell his story! Bravo!!
You guys are top notch. Solid interview. Thank you for your service.
Y’all are some bad ass Americans thank you so much for your service and everything you do so that we can continue to enjoy or freedoms in our Great Country. March 5, 2020 I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and early T-cell lymphoma hasn’t been easy been in remission for 2 years now. That is nothing compared to what you and so many of your guests have been thru in y’all’s life. Hope your having a fantastic day love you buddy.
Old 3rd Batt Guy here and when he said all we know is two things “Ruck Hump and Kill”, I instantly laughed . Definitely the best podcast on RUclips
I was driving thru Kentucky on my way home from Chicago to Atlanta when the announcement came over the radio. I kid you not, it was 1230-1am in the morning EST and people were stopped on the road honking horns screaming their lungs out. We finally got him! If you didn’t watch those towers come down live you may not get it. This is one of the best days of my life.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

Wow I find myself at their first break but I find myself with my cheeks hurting I've been smiling from ear to ear for like the past 40 minutes and that's because I'm so proud to hear and see men be men and be strong and stand strong and have that fire warrior in you God bless you guys love the show if possible I would love to take clips this is so inspirational at least for me it is God bless you guys and thank you so much for allowing me to put my head down at night in peace because of what you guys do did and have done and will do to keep us American safe in other people in the world .....
Shawn…what a skillful interview. The right questions at the right time . Best of all you do so little talking and allow your guest the opportunity to speak and let the content develop. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The way Shawn says "oh" when rob says "I'm shooting 77gr hollow point at 3 feet" was hilarious
Thanks to TikTok ive seen snips of a bunch of episodes, so i had to come check out the YT page. This is the first video ive watched here, and i promise it wont be the last. This interview is amazing! not only the first hand accounts, but the respect given and shown for everyone involved in them is refreshing to see. Rob's ability to tell a story with such purpose, humor and humility is a true gift. Thank you Shawn and Rob for this amazing episode!
“If you can keep quitting tomorrow, you can do anything in life.” That’s a sticky saying. Thanks.
