This dude could have summed up this video in 30 seconds. The Razer Leviathan V2 sounds like 50 dollar speaker. The sound blaster katana V2 sounds like a 300 dollar speaker, because they actually know how to produce good speakers. That is all.
Creative is at the top of it's playing field now with their recent release of products. Loved my Katana V1, Outlier Pro and Stage 360. At the price they are selling, it's considered a great bargain for good quality sound!
@GeekCulture I have katana v2, now looking at headphones, though the two I'm looking at have no comparison online, Any chance an audiophile like yourself could review and compare - Asus ROG Delta S (wired) - Creative SXFI Air Gamer As you have mentioned in a video above they're gaming vs audio companies so it's not easy, but after weeks of research h still can't make up my mind I would appreciate your opinion.
Thanks for the vid, just what I needed. Was and still am struggeling to decide, if I should buy the Katana v2. You presented both soundbars in a neutral and differentiated way and clearly highlighted the advantages/disadvantages. Conclusion and your opinion are understandable. Keep it up :)
My Katana V1 recently died and this video has proved useful. I don't know if I'll spring for the V2 Katanas, I did quite like my V1. Only 'problem' I have if I get another V1 is that I will have two subwoofer units, lol.
I'm thankful for the video, but I hope you find a mic that's not picking up so much background noise, there's a constant fan noise going on in the background, and makes your audio sound very scrambled.
2:18 I think that you have mixed the image of Katana (Original) ports and the image of Katana V2 ports. V2 has USB C, as well as headphones jack on the front. Apart from that great video!
Only problem I have with my katana is that the remote doesn't work it never have I've even got a replacement and even that doesn't work so I no longer use the soundbar as I'm bedbound
I’d say if your V1 is still working then just stick to it? Unless you’re really itching for an upgrade because I still use the V1 in my office and it still holds up well
thanks for the personal opinion but you didn't answer in my opinion Leviathan V2 or Katana V2. You said Katana series so you are more for the V1 Katana? or im wrong and i didn't understand something?
I have Leviathan V2 with subwoofer and I still don´t know if I will give it back to store where I bought or no, I still have one week...One good think is that have THX Spatial Audio - surround sound 7.1 but I can´t see at Kitana that have too...
I have very important questions to know before I buy, is Leviathan V2 better than Leviathan 1?I have the original but the subwoofer cable broke and the input is in bad contact. and I have no knowledge about soundbars, I wanted a good one to watch movies and listen to music with a subwoofer
Just brought mine levethian v2 and kind of disappointed 😞. I was expecting a louder bass. I wanted to feel the bass but nope. As for the subwoofer, it just vibrating and no sound. Was the sub suppose to produce sound too? Idk, not a pro here. And no way to increase bass level
I'm looking for something to replace my old Edifier 5.1 speakers that I'm currently using on my gaming PC, and am considering getting a soundbar + subwoofer combo purely for a smaller footprint without speakers and wires all over the place. I'm considering purchaseing either the older Sound BlasterX Katana, or the Razer Leviathan v2. For some reason the Katana v2 is not available here in New Zealand and Creative Labs wont ship it from Australia either. I'm currently favoring the older Katana over the Leviathan v2 purely because it comes with a remote, although I understand that the Leviathan v2 has an installable app (which isnt all that appealing) Anyone able to give me an idea of how they compare sound quality/output wise? Note that I don't use headphones.
How long did it take you to receive the Katana V2? i know you dont work for them but seeing how long it took for you to get the sound bar as it is taking over a month for mine to be shipped.
I have the original katana and love it. Might get it's successor mainly because of USB c connectivity. Razer should probably try not to be so diverse as far as hardware goes. They do a lot but not spectacular in anything
If you already have the v1 not really. Both are really good soundbars but if you haven't one. I would choose the v2. Overall a better soundbar with some additional features that the v1 doesn't have
Can I conect the Levia v2 to a TV on the PC entrace, deirectly to a USB-a on the TV, or do I need a adapter of Optical audio to usb-c, if I need it, will it work?
as a non-gaymer i don't get the appeal of rainbow lights all over the place. Don't people find them distracting? When I'm watching sports or movies I generally don't like a bunch of lights around.

I returned my leviathan and got the katana v2. It is sooo much better, and the bass... its another level.
i have to thank you, because of this review, you made me want a katana v2. it just arrived today, and i love it. thank you.
I wonder how Katana V2 go against the Leviathan V2 Pro, might be a better comparison, still trying to decide between the two.

Couldn’t agree more! I use both the V1 in the office and V2 at home daily , they both sound amazing!
Luckily the razer was out of stock I purchased the katana and love it. Very disappointing seeing the lack of ports on the razer

nvm, didn't notice this was a year ago, I checked out some newer videos and it's all good. Massive difference though hehe
My big hate with Synapse is that it doesn't cleanup old updates properly.

Clear, precise and nice commentary pace 👌👍

What was the sound of the leviathan like?
I have no desk space and a full razer setup so I went with the leviathan. Plus I didn't want something super loud.
That's fair!
I have very important questions to know before I buy, is Leviathan V2 better than Leviathan 1?I have the original but the subwoofer cable broke and the input is in bad contact.

I've had both at my desk and I would still give the Katana V1 the vote over the Leviathan V2.
@@GeekCulture Cool and thanks for the response. Have ordered the older Katana. Cheers mate 👍
Probably should compare leviathan v2 pro vs katana v2.
Hi i want to ask… how height is allowance between speaker and the desk?
How long did it take you to receive the Katana V2? i know you dont work for them but seeing how long it took for you to get the sound bar as it is taking over a month for mine to be shipped.
Leviathan V2 woofer v1 using?
So none of these can plug into the back of a monitor via 3.5 jack?
The Katana has a 3.5mm jack option!
@@GeekCulture thanks
@@GeekCulture I’m also guessing the razer can plug into the front of a ps5 via usb c?
I want to buy katana v2 but is not available in my country, idk if i should get leviathan v2 or wait for katana v2 to be available.
katana sound bar with speaker facing up? doesn't it sound weird?
I would say that Razer is trying to be the jack of all trades but then it is a master of none.
hi guys , i'm planning to buy a Leviathan for my gaming PC but not sure to spend on v1 or v2 any suggestion from you guys?
Better get V2 while you are it, no reason to go with older products.
@@CurseOfDeath thank you sir
well, razer is THX certified... which they own too btw. 😅 no bearing there.
anyone has the problem of rgb lighting dying with the katana v1?

How katana v2 compares to v1? Is it worth the premium?

@@jonask.3027 Thanks, will be saving on v2 then))
And the V2 has HDMI ARC, which V1 doesn’t. But you’re already convinced anyway :)
Thank the spaghetti monster for subtitles!
Can I conect the Levia v2 to a TV on the PC entrace, deirectly to a USB-a on the TV, or do I need a adapter of Optical audio to usb-c, if I need it, will it work?
Haven’t tried it yet but there’s also the need to have synapse to get it to work proper
@@GeekCulture You do not need synapse, it sounded great out of the box on my phone without it!
would be nice if they werent sold out everywhere
Could I not sync the razer sound bar to my tv via blutooth?
If your tv has bluetooth then it will work, or get a converter
Some ppl including me will buy leviathan just not to ruin all razer setup xD
Uh...Razer owns THX. So, I would unequivocally say that they are an audio company.
You may want google who sold THX to them :x
Do you think it's a good thing Razer bought THX?
katana v2 is better in every way and outclasses Razer.
You talked too much about v1s.
you portuguese?
He's Filpino or Mayneomsnese

These speakers aren’t for the non gamer market. Yes the lights can be distracting at times but you can turn them off usually
ok grandpa... you are not gaymer just closet gay..we get it
Ok boomer

The Razer leviathan v2 is just horrible it's a complete waste of money.
Why?
No have optical input
