i was there. the lineup was incredible. at40 happened the same weekend. trey was there. panic was there. phil also played a late night show at the hard rock that was incredible. one of the best festivals ive ever attended.
Thanks for uploading this show. For me, Phil Lesh & Friends is one of the best musical groups to ever grace a live stage. This concert video is an incredibly beautiful document. Jerry Garcia is probably smiling somewhere to hear this work of art, this tribute to him, this testament for the ages.
Super underrated festival and performance. This line up and this show was the highlight of it all....for me anyway. Hide Your Love Away is at 1:22:00.....a beautiful bust out that was never repeated.
This is just outstanding. One of the very best post GD incarnation. Warnen joins the band a 1 :10:00 and for an incredibly funky shakedown, followed by a rare beatles gem: you've got to hide your love away.
While not technically the Q, this performance highlights Phil and Friends at the very peak of his game. Nobody can create a seamless setlist that flows like a symphony like Phil.

I miss when Jimmy played this style of chicken picken guitar with pretty melodies and the heavy use of flatted 5ths. It goes together so well with the Dead. Same with Barry Sless very melodic and heavy use of flatted 5ths.

I loved seeing these Phil shows in the early aughts! Phil was just on fire and interested in expanding the boundaries of Dead music. What a joy!

This is proper guitar playing.
Jimmy is master class

Great combo of players !!!
One of the best Phil shows Apt Q258 killing on drums they are all so happy to loving it..

I was so there. What a great three year run Vegoose had and was one unique festival. Thanks for posting. Good memories.

Miss these early P&F and Q shows..fun twists on all the greats
Phil always picks the best musicians for the music.. even now, he picks great musicians from outside the jam scene and they just excel with the music.
While not technically the Q, this performance highlights Phil and Friends at the very peak of his game. Nobody can create a seamless setlist that flows like a symphony like Phil.
that white tshirt working for me :)
Glad you are still around and touring .someday I will make one of the performances.

Sless is so underrated. Herring gets a lot of praise, rightfully so, but Sless has always done solid work in P&F.
