Your wild dog sighting brought tears to my eyes. I know what you do is not easy. But I think you are perhaps one of the luckiest people on earth to be able to do it. And you do it so extraordinarily well. Thank you!
Ellys, Zebras, Painted Dogs, exquisite sunsets & loving company. What more could a person want, besides a functional bathroom? You two are really making a lifetime of memories. It's very special & thank you for sharing a tiny bit with us. 🙏
That blasted slow leaking tyre is going bring about a Basil Fawlty type response. I can just envisage James taking to the Landcruiser with a very large branch and screaming obscenities at it.One would not want to be caught unawares by a large dog baa boon whilst halfway through a bowel motion on that disgusting looking crapper. Fantastic footage of the wild doggies. Not quite as exhilarating as the James encounter with the wild doggies on Djuma. Pretty close though. Fantastic filming and musical accompaniment .
@10:00 Wild dogs!! How incredibly blessed was that! Thank you for letting us see this wild beauty vicariously through your eyes. I'm so thankful you still have a presence on RUclips. I loved watching you on Safari Live. I still watch that hilarious clip of you drawing a hippo anytime I need cheering up!
Today I've watched 3 of your Mana Pools videos again - it's always a pleasure watching them, amazing encounters, beautiful nature, beautiful sounds of the animals, insects and birds, and very entertaining. Thanks again!
As I was watching your wild dog sighting my brain kept repeating "How cool is that!!" Your reverence for Africa and its wildlife is very apparent on your videos. The opening shot was just spectacularly beautiful...Thank you both for sharing!!!
Now I watched your complete Mana Pools Series. And I enjoyed it soo much. This is one of the rare times I had every second of a youtube video without the need to skip and hop on. I like your timing and that you dont rush the sets. Your framing is so good, the colours. And I learned that as good as IBIS, IS etc may ever be, nothing beats a good and steady tripod with a video head. Your stories and jokes, compared with the technic you put into your videos makes them so enjoyable to watch. Not to forget the perfect underlining of the music. After two trips to Namibia and Botswana, I am now convinced that my next trip must lead to Zimbabwe and/or Zambia. Thanks for the inspiration and maybe our paths will cross sometimes in Africa.
Another amazing video. Gorgeous sunrise with the beautiful music and singing was heartwarming. Staying with the wild dogs was very special even from watching on the computer screen, I just can imagine how it felt being there. thank you James and Kirsten for your awesome work.
Now that are splendid images of the painted wolves ... i like especially the 2nd last in the pack ... nice white colour patches ... . Beautiful colours ... nicely captures James ..! By the way almost forgot mention the best showing the red elephant in the back... !
Gosh that episode seemed short! I was just fully emersed and then….“next time“. Mana Pools seems to be a VERY special place, what with the „open wooded“ landscape and then in one sighting, a whole variety of animals walking around and living in harmony with each other. Like nothing I`ve ever seen on „safari“ shows(including Wild Earth).
Sunrise on the river with the associated morning chorus was breathtaking. Great animal sightings especially your interaction with the wild dogs. Captivating footage as usual. Thank you, always look forward to your next episode.
What a wonderful episode. The time spent with the painted dogs must have been so magical. It's interesting that walking is allowed there for anyone. Thank you both for taking us along to places I will never get to but can enjoy thru your experiences.
Unfortunately couldn't catch you live, but must say filming and editing are first class. Getting better all the time! Thank you for my Saturday evening escape :)
The. Wild Dogs were wonderful, but my absolute favourite sequence was the very beginning - day break and the sounds of a new day. Goosebump making. What is that Camera and Lens, pls ?
Oh wow! Lion tracks, ant lions, elephants, wild dogs, and TheNecessary. You certainly do give us the best views of everything. Seriously, what a great wild dog segment! Thanks muchly, all the best, Gloria 🐂
Hi James i like the confidence, the energy you use while creating these amazing wildlife moments, you inspire me to work and do a lot so that i can also create those extra ordinary wildlife stories much love friend
8:00 "dog" = "male", 10:13 small friendly puppy bullied by larger adult/yearling, 13:16 seven adult/yearlings and 4 puppies in the pack, collared male leading the way
ALWAYS ENJOY WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EACH EPISODE . SOMETIMES I FEEL A TINY BIT JEALOUS. ISRAEL IS QUITE BORING COMPARED TO MOST PLACES I HAVE BEEN /HEARD BOUT SO KEEP SHARING YOUR ADVENTURES +THE MORE THE BETTER.
I find that a can of compressed air with a little trumpet attached as is sold for personal protection is highly effective against baboons, monkeys, stray dogs and possibly a whole lot else. The trumpet produces an ear splitting sound and I find if I combine a couple of a blasts with a charge at the offending creatures they depart in utmost haste. This appears to last for many days where they again depart immediately upon noticing me the next day.
Very temped to call that wild dog pack the "white tail pack" -- I don't think I've seen wild dogs with that much white fur, it's always more golden brown or hyena-ish. What would have happened if they came up to investigate you? Ward them off with the "dog baboon stick"?

There were a few Basil Fawlty responses towards that bloody tyre!

Wonderful sighting with the Wild Dogs. Thanks as always James and Kirsten.
When ever I hear these morning moments it makes me think about an orchestra tuning up before the program starts.

What camera are you shooting with? The footage clarity is stunning with that lens.
Happy birthday to you 🥂
Love the sound of hippos grunting in the night and pre-dawn. Takes me right back to Wilderness Camp, Khwai/Moremi in Botswana.
Who was your guide for this?
