Land Rover Defender 90 drives into Uggerby Å And the water was too deep and needs to be rescued by a Toyota Landcruiser HDJ 80 and a Merecedes-Benz G-Wagon
Should have taken the tailgate off to flood which would have stopped it turning into a boat. It’s traction you need here and with the rear wheels off the ground then he ain’t going anywhere.. bloody good effort!
Sorry but I think that to be disrepectul for a Land Rover. Moreover salt sea water is going to damage the engine and other important things of the veichle. Land Rover aint a submarine. I'd never be doing that to my veichle.
I think that is the North Sea breaking in the distance so it might be fresh or brackish. Imagine the cold of the water chilling the axles and gearbox, sucking water inside through the breathers.
@@ExploreJimnyDK it does look rather close to the ocean though so it could be a bit salty? Especially since it looks like it’s standing water. Either way, that vehicle will need a lot of work to bring it back to what it was beforehand (assuming this is the first swim like this). If it is salty water then he’ll need to find some fresh water and do this all over again to completely remove the salt.
@@carltonr3417 When the water level in Uggerby Å is this high, it is because of recent heavy rainfall. In this case there is a decent flow of rain water, and the salinity is very low. Normally this part of Uggerby Å is just around 50cm deep. But still a bit of salt is hard to avoid. But then again, all vehicles in Denmark are driving around on salted roads every winter, and the cars are prepped for these conditions. He may experience some electrical gremlins after this though.
Wow ! A bunch of guys practising for a Darwin Award! Next time they might succeed! Pity the poor Land Rover who had to put up with this nonsense and who may live to drive again on land if it doesn't rust away in the meantime, poor thing!
It looks like the defender was rescued by a 1990 land cruiser. When I was travelling around Australia. This was probably one of the best vehicles that you could have, and even today still packs a punch in the outback.
You don’t have to look far to find the Toyota fan boys blowing smoke in each others asses! The fact is that the good old Land Rover had a go which is more than could be said for the other vehicles.. one things for sure, if any of the others put their vehicles in this position they wouldn’t be driving them home!

Breaking all the BASIC rules of off roading! Test the water depth, look for a good entry & exit point etc. Obviously these people don’t know much.
Or here's an idea..."screw it, let's go and have a laugh! 😂". I would if I were there
Try doing this in The Pretender, it’ll be a write off.
Poor Landy, stupid action
They were like a bunch of kids playing at ' let's recover a vehicle' Why would you risk wreaking a nice Land Rover?
All a waste of time .
