What a stupid thing to do. The box section chassis is now full of salt water that will accelerate the corrosion. Obviously got more money than sense.
Should have taken the tailgate off to flood which would have stopped it turning into a boat. It’s traction you need here and with the rear wheels off the ground then he ain’t going anywhere.. bloody good effort!

What a dumb move
It looks like the defender was rescued by a 1990 land cruiser. When I was travelling around Australia. This was probably one of the best vehicles that you could have, and even today still packs a punch in the outback.
You don’t have to look far to find the Toyota fan boys blowing smoke in each others asses! The fact is that the good old Land Rover had a go which is more than could be said for the other vehicles.. one things for sure, if any of the others put their vehicles in this position they wouldn’t be driving them home!
But somehow you see a lot more old Land Rovers than old Land Cruisers on the road 🤔
