When you kill Theseus and the Minotaur in two minutes and still manage to lose 3/4ths of your hp to them. Never change NL

NL, on the Minotaur fights, you can avoid the charge by dashing THROUGH the pillars. That'll make that jerk run into the pillar, instead of into your jerk. The wall maneuver is particularly cursed, because difficult.

You see, that would require he try to talk to an NPC.
When you have Hunting Blades don't use them at long range, especially since you have the Vicious Cycle boon. The longer you are able to get the enemy in the vortex the more damage you do, if half of the cast time is spent trying to reach the enemy you aren't unlocking it's full potential of damage.
Or you can take no damage and still dish out a disgusting amount of punishment
or you just use the hera aspect bow and fire them directly into someones butthole

Nl please don’t stop playing Hades for awhile I’m loving this series just as much as I love playing this game
Thank you NL for making content on this game. I kinda played it for 4 hours, got two wins and just put it aside till the better times. Now, when you play a game I really like I always try to keep ahead and make progress faster than you do, I did this for children of morta, sts and other games, and rn I'm just blasting through hades on my 7 win streak. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you egg for returning me to this masterpiece of a game and providing a good motivation to get better.

Playing with the Pierced Butterfly looks like a good incentive to practice enemy mechanics. Was fun seeing the different pace at the start.

Percent damage up in this game is additive, not multiplicative.

NL for future reference attacks like the sword special or the spear spin move can be used with the dash to reposition without cancelling the attack, it actually extends the range much like hades spear spin
NL, I understand that you were playing safe, but you wasted a lot of damage from your cast this run by firing from so far away. The blade rifts have a set duration, and that duration is ticking down whether it's hitting an enemy or just seeking one. Since you fired them from far away, their duration was probably half gone or worse by the time they started hitting. That's half of the duration that it COULD be doing the "tick damage up by 1 per hit" effect. Optimization, yay!
SAWS ONLY
around 9:30 NL starts talking about the damage bonus (specifically from the butterfly). As far as I'm aware any percent increase is based off of the base damage. Say, for example, your attack does 100 damage and you get the boon that increases your attack damage by say 50%, if you then got a boon that increase your dash damage by another 50%, that doesn't mean your dash does 50% extra of 150 (your attack damage) it means when you attack you add 50% of the 100 and when you dash attack you add an additional 50% of the 100, so a dash attack would deal 200 damage, as apposed to dealing 225 (50% extra of 150).

NL the tooth is garbage tier, take the broken spearpoint for massive gains to effective hp on styx. It works on all poison so you take like 3 damage instead of 20 and it is really good for the Hades fight too.
Tooth literally on par with another death's defiance. "Garbage Tier" nice.
And yeah, the Hades fight where many hits aren't massive single hits or anything.
Yeah, Artemis has the best Duo boons, bar none. Ares' and Demeter's casts both track, and the Zeus/Artemis duo makes the bloodstones also just sit there electrifying anything that comes close.
24:15 While "Who's Next" is undoubtedly an underrated and arguably classic rock album, I disagree with it being called "one of the best of 1972". That year was one of the finest, nay, the finest year for albums in that era. The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, John Lennon, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder were all releasing exceptional albums that year. Due to all this competition even an album as worthy as "Who's Next" is, in my opinion, crowded out of the limelight.
Also, it was released in 1971.

I think Nasty Dash is one of the best dash effects. In fact I like anything that poisons...great way to passively deal damage.

NL processes information really quickly. By the time I've read the first boon he's usually read all 3 and made a decision
When you've done 20-30 runs, you learn to recognize them pretty quickly
NL doesnt even know the genuine insanity you can get on casts, especially using the Hera aspect bow which lets you load all your casts into the arrow and fire them all at the same time along side a power shot.
I managed to make my arrow fire 12 ares shots at once that seek enemys. And they all drop right where the arrow hits.
Actually can't believe Egg didn't take the hermes benefit for 60% faster cast, literally all he was lacking was a faster cast ;-;

It was unnecessary and the boon he picked was for the prophecy. He made the correct choice imo.
@@NZVargs Oh didn't know about the prophecy bit, still though if you watch the Hades fight his casts wasted most of their damage potential slowly crawling toward hades, it would've been more optimal but it did turn out to be unnecessary.
We don't expect NL to be optimal though 😂

Hey people who know more than me, question! When that Boon appeared that said "any damage has a chance to be critical" would that actually have included blade rift hits as well? Because...I'm just trying to fathom the damage numbers on something like that, it's insane
It does! Got it once on a blade rift run with Ares legendary. Was seeing insane exclamation mark ticks almost every time I let out my casts or used a call

Pretty funny that he never gets close enough to get full damage from the blade rifts, still fun run thoufh
Egg fill out the bonus crit and the sword becomes a machine. Get auto attack or chop from daed and get the crit attack from art. Easy win every time.
Blade rifts. Prevent Egg whiffs.
Keys will still let you reroll rooms during your runs, and you can exchange currencies you don't need anymore back at the ho use from the big green blod guy/girl thing.
I kinda hope we get to see a run with sword shockwaves, it sounds good 😶
Talks trash about Ares' call... But Area Greater call on top of those 6 casts = insaneeee DPS. Also this cast loaded into the Hera bow is just amazing.
Remember that you can trade currencies at the lounge.
With Pierced Butterfly, the damage multiplier gets better, not the damage itself.

The Butterfly, it should be noted, works far better for the slower, harder-hitting weapons like the Sword or the Bow's Power Shots. It's less efficacious on faster weapons.

@@HolyDeviant1 Um, if I hit someone 5 times for 20 damage or 1 time for 100 damage, increasing it by 5% still nets the same total bonus.

I hate to trash on an awesome run but dude imagine if he used privileged status. All he had to do was get the Athena status effect and the blades would have been even better.
Best personnal run so far with poseidon 's cast and Artemis legendary skill that give u 3 free shots ands a second one with less dmg. Was running at heat 3 in the dedale
Was hopeful it was Zeus + Dionysus duo when I saw the title

I don't think the butterfly works on act IV sadly
ares+arthemis duo is broken, at lower heat it pratically guarantees a win just by itself, if you get more upgrades you can just go in speedrun mode with hades, I've beaten him in 1:36 but more skilled player are able to do it in under a minute
Honestly, the cast ends up being the most important thing to nearly all of my runs. Recenetly had 7 festive fogs loaded into Hera aspect plus the Artemis boon that fires a second projectile with your cast. Basically killed the Minotaur in 5-6 shots :3 First run I've won too.
