Hi Dave enjoy your vlogs mate. The South African Fairmont GT was an exported Falcon GT sent from Geelong Victoria to Port Elizabeth South Africa in CKD form for assembly on the Ford PE line. They were fitted with exactly the same running gear as there Australian assembled cousins. The Fairmont GT has Futura trim and door cards & gauges in metric. Colours are a mix of US based & UK. They are a Unique part of Ford Australia & South Africa history. I know the previous owners of this XYGT and its a beautiful example.
Thanks mate. And thanks for the info. I’m sure Dan must’ve told me in the past but I’ve trouble knowing the difference between an XY and and XA. Still getting used to the Aussie stuff
Such a pity its Super Rhino stickers have been replaced by Super Roo versions. There’s no shame - actually some pride, probably - in being a unique version of the original.
I tend to agree. It’s like all the replica GTs made up of GS and 500s, 15-20 years ago. I’m much more excited to see GS graphics running down the side with a few GT add ons than yet another GT clone.
Thanks for sharing the update on the ESP good work keep them coming
Hi Dave,
I am loving your videos.
Thanks for all your effort in making the videos.
Cheers
Glad you like them! Wheels. They are a joy to make though that joy could be more if they found more viewers.
The XE is looking good! 👌 Just itching to see the owners first drive.
This is the one we been waiting for dave

Love the falcons shown here and other videos. I have a special vehicle you might find interesting.
There's more to come and do tell. Don't keep us in suspence.

Top speed was 140 mph too. Not 140kph
Whoops that would’ve been slow
I cringe what his bill is 💵 when it’s all said and done😖 there goes his super
Judging by his age already, he'll be well tucked into his super. I imagine he'll be fine.
