Punching him during the ending lag. It actually was a bait-and-punish when you look at the lead-up to it.

Absolutely incredible gameplay from both here! As a Belmont main myself and as a fan of Peanut, I was quite torn by this video... but holy cow was it one to watch! Also, killer commentary! Skabs is doing a great job on the Mic!
@@voodooedits785 completely agree there. Fighting a good zoner and trying to find entry with Mac is super dookie mode. Squid’s ledge trap pressure was 10/10 and I wouldn’t have been able to mentally keep it together during that match. Props to peanut for doing so.
Even though both Mac and the belmonts are low tier, what makes the belmonts such a bad matchup for Mac is that their weakness (getting gimped) isn’t as prevalent as Mac can’t edgeguard all that much, and their strength (projectile pressure) is so much more devastating. Peanut had to work very hard to win the matches he did

Belmonts have to be constantly aware of their spacing across the stage, they get gimped easy, and they require a lot of precision. K. Rool can recover from literally anywhere, has bullshit edge guarding moves that require zero thought and has super armor that just ignores everything you do to him. You can launch a Belmont at half the damage you are likely to launch a K.Rool at. People who complain about Belmonts are just too impatient and bad at the matchup. I’ve never played a matchup against a Belmont in my life I felt was unfair for me.

nope, it's PacMan. PacMan has fast attacks that are big and safe, Belmonts are much slower, and his attack speed is slower, and it's easy to punish them a lot of the time. PacMan also has hydrant forcing Mac to jump. PacMan camps harder too.

Most likely the opponent will think only a hard hitting move can break it setting up for a landing counter from lil Mac …. Ufff genius. I've only watched a few mins of this video so far but the amount of downplaying and disrespect these commentators are showing to Peanut is crazy, they even went as far as to say that Lil Mac's recovery is good (2:45) rather than just acknowledging Peanuts obvious skill and mastery of the character, idk why it annoyed me so much but maybe it was just me who noticed it.
I am not into elite smsh, that Richter seemed cheap. Also, Ive noticed Peanut is very adaptable, usually after losing the first game he comes back full force
To anyone that insists that Mac is anything other than low tier, watch this set. And I mean really watch it. Peanut had to play absolutely impeccably to get absolutely anything going, and spent 90% of the game at the ledge. Meanwhile Squidplumber (a good Belmont in his own right tbf) got away with a lot that Peanut simply could not do anything about. You can’t say a character isn’t “that bad” when they get so hardcore shut down by so much of the cast, that you have to play absolutely perfectly and make zero mistakes to do anything

Tbh zones vs melee will always be hype in every fighting game. I played zangief in sf5 and the guile matchup was my favourite, to see and play.
