Took a while find the right wording to track this commercial down but that's my uncle at the end as "grown up Ralph" - his real name was John Marucci. He passed away in Sept 2007. Ended up doing some studio work with Santana & Mountain. He also had stories of being scouted by Bruce Springsteen when Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez left the E-Street Band. He was Jersey based & ended up turning Bruce down - felt the music was too country-rock & wasn't going anywhere. AHHH!
@@pauldavies8638 Hey dear Paul since you own this serup what's the amp in the video is it SX-1980 ?? According to hi-fi engine 1980 was made in 1978 : www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/pioneer/sx-1980.shtml the advertisment was in 1977 tho I only recognise the cassette deck CT-F1000 . Happy New Year :-)
I think that is a good turntable, I have seen them on EBay. But gee look how it is balancing on the edge of the table. All this older stuff is well made compared to the stuff today and it look's nicer too,.
I would have loved to have a turntable like that back then, but I’m so glad to have one now.

What ? That is one of the higher end turntables.
who produced this ad, and wrote it?
This ad def contributed to the demise of quality stereo systems
A lovely little piece of fiction, as drummers aren't known for having an inordinate number of screaming females in the audience.
Yes unfortunately drummers receive the bass player treatment and are usually unnoticed in the bands proof I am one.
