My brother sent me this video, and it doesn’t matter whether you are from Essikadu or not, this Essikadu you see is the place where Kwame Nkrumah got his mandate, at the round about called positive “Action Bay “ that round about action bay yard that’s where where I was born, Essikadu is a Mecca to me, to renew my spirit and give back, even though people of Essikadu living abroad refuse to admit that Essikadu is place to see make a better place regardless, please next time you do Essikadu documentary please please interact with Essikadians

Good job man. Grew up here from around 2002 there about to 2007. I attended Roman Catholic Mixed Primary School not far from the police Station. Made so many friends but lost contact when my father was deployed to another region, wish I could see them once again…Tbh not much has changed, I wish to return there one day and give back in a little way that I can. Especially my alma matter

Not really ashamed we have criminal who is projecting his criminality to the national level, a political 419, using Essikadu’s tolerance , in my opinion he’s a criminal, where those funds accredited to Essikadu all those years and now, Jo Ghartey is a criminal, a thief who has been doing this for all these years, one he was not born in Essikadu, again what year , when, who was the one who gave birth as a midwife ,this criminal has done enough, regardless of the party you claim to represent, just look at his past while in government for past years

@@SamSung-yx2pj it’s very difficult to erase your beginnings no matter how difficult or uncomfortable you feel about your past, in this case Essikadu, strangely enough this backward custom that excludes one from being native of the place of your birth in Ghana generally especially the Akan tribe, where you may be born in Essikadu but you are not considered an Ahatan because your parents migrated from day Cape Coast or Accra so you’re always considered a sojourn, Regardless I consider Essikadu my native homeland because I was born in Essikadu, grew up there, values, friends, belief system (faith) language my initial world view and most importantly, the culture of kundum the dance the drums and the gathering of people of Essikadu was something that is still alive and with me,people used to visit me from different parts of Ghana to Essikadu because of how I carried myself and love to hustle and become someone in future, I can probably say almost all my friends that we grew up together are not Essikadu now most of are in overseas and have been contributing financially to support their families and friends in Essikadu, from my experience and perspective there three important factors amongst other factors that influence or propelled my decision to be productive, the first one was almost every family in Essikadu has some family members in Europe or America , some of them either seamen, or just through Education scholarships so it became my ambition to also travel to overseas someday because you always hear this guy is back from Europe, And the fact one can literally go to Europe via Takoradi harbor through stowaway , then prevailing economical hardships brought by Ghana must go and coup d’atat , and finally my personal quest to be able to help people economically, so Essikadu became a daunting task for me to succeed, I saw Essikadu as a challenge to overcome rather than a problem to complain about, I have never voted in Ghana all my life, never worked there except selling sleeping mats to help bring the needed income to my mother, however, coming from Essikadu is very important to me it’s just that I wish I can have some few people to see the way I see things and things will be great for Essikadu
