Takoradi is indeed beautiful. It deserves more exposure than it gets from us Ghanaians. There are other cities like Sunyani, Koforidua and Cape Coast that are equally nice.
Do they have any laws pertaining to painting of houses? If so why aren't they enforced? The houses are too dirty. At least houses must be painted every five or 10 years. The landlords collect huge rents but they don't take care of the houses.
A city with exports port, that has wellcomed the biggest cruise ship in the world , Sekondi -Takoradi they always show the old sites, there are beautiful places there, it has air force base and lots of mind blowing places
A city is developed with private capital. Government cannot do all and everything for us. Roads, electricity, water and other social services like hospitals and schools are the responsibility of government, the rest should be left to the inhabitants to fill in the necessary gaps to beautify the city.
And is somebody stopping us from doing that? The problem with Takoradi and by extension Kumasi and other similar places is they're already built up areas, built up with old architecture, so there's no space for new development in the city centres and the old buildings are not modern pretty.
@williamantwi9151 yea, it's a pretty much village. As a matter of fact, Ghanaian cities ain't look good. There are a lot of open gutters, dusty sidewalks, phucked up buildings, and no proper transportation systems. Accra, particularly, is behind in terms of infrastructure development as compared to Abidjan, Dakar, Abuja, and Lagos. I suppose Cotonou is doing pretty much better than Accra in terms of cleanliness
@@williamantwi9151 boss don't mind this fool. He keeps going on videos related to Ghana to hate on Ghana. He's a weird troll.. Takoradi looks beautiful for real.

It's a lie. This's all there's to it. Colonial type beauty, nothing more. Unfortunately it's already built up so no space for newer Avant Garde prettier edifices. A few house renovations, painting of old houses and re asphalting and decongesting the streets of cars, people would enhance its beauty

Ghana is, of course, underdeveloped. Look at this village called a city. Poor Ghanaians
Is this a village?
