Here's Mateusz Kowalski performing Agustín Barrios Mangoré's beautiful tremolo piece "Contemplación" on a fantastic classical guitar built in 2020 by Luis Fernandez de Cordoba with Spruce top and Black Limba back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Not enough players play this beauty of a piece, much more soulful than Una Lismona in my humble opinion. Bravo!

You said it. I can’t actually believe I would ever give such a statement a thumbs-up. There are so many great players and I admire so many of them. But when I hear and watch M Kowalski play, I don’t think there a single guitarist I would rather listen to at that moment.
That is a hard-won praise to receive from someone, who has heard them all and studied with most of them. I simply love his playing. His technique, sound and general feel for the instrument is as good as, or better, than the best players out there.
He seems like a nice fellow, too.

i wouldnt go quite that far--john williams and barrios himself are better and villa lobos was better but this guy is amazingly good--i think david russell is better also---all wonderful guitarists though.........

Sloppy Tremelo - pinky needs to be tucked and not flaying - causes inconsistencies in even sound volume

stop making a show of yourself, the tremolo sounds smooth, you're just trying to make yourself interesting
and when talking about the pinky, useless finger,it has to follow the motion of the other fingers, its position is not important.
