Tarrega's Flex Composition, with all the guitar tricks in the book, and extra hard performance...he was like "BUT CAN YOU DO THIS" when publishing this piece.
So glad I discovered Tarrega, took me two months to give up my acoustic and get a classical guitar .... only pieces I can handle at this point are Lagrima, Study in A, and the slow stuff on gran vals .... can’t wait to get to this level, sounds amazing!

Wow- great technique. Besides my rifle collection I’ve got a ‘93 Baarslag guitar from Granada. Also visited other builders there, including Antonio Marin and Jose Plazuelo Marin. Paco Marin’s guitars have an excellent clarity and definition. Jose’s are much like Antonio’s, with clarity and warmth. All excellent guitars, with different qualities. Like my new German-made Steyr and my vintage Mauser rifles.
Pretty much every time I go on RUclips I see a classical guitarist and say to myself, well that can’t be beaten. And then someone comes along and tops it. That was such a great performance. Can it be beaten? I can’t wait to find out.
Jota is one of those musical genders that either gives you headache or makes you cry oceans... Every time I hear a jota I remember my amatxi(grandma) even with alzheimer still remembering the rhythm of one of her favourite jotas; "Las espigas de oro", just some days before she passed away a day after Epiphany. That is probably the last song she heard, perhaps recalling her land, her town, her northern Spain...

Beautiful rendition from a wonderful guitarist with Amazing Precission. I think the Gran Jota de Concierto sounds best on a cedar top given the variety of sounds (personal preference). I’d love to see more from Mrs. Mardiyan!
