- Today we're joined by Päivi Räsänen, a member of Finnish Parliament, who is currently on trial in Finland for posting a Bible verse on X after a local church chose to support a "pride" event. Päivi was originally prosecuted for the crime of “agitation against a minority group”, under the section of “war crimes and crimes against humanity” in the Finnish criminal code, and was acquitted twice. Yet the prosecution continues to appeal the not guilty verdict, and Päivi finds herself yet again back in court. The prosecution claims that Päivi's real crime wasn't posting the Bible verse, but claiming that the Bible condemns homosexuality in that post. We're also joined by Kristen Waggoner, CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom, to discuss the legal specifics of this case and the greater implications of punishing free speech. Päivi shares encouragement for standing up for truth, and her perspective as her case continues.

There is no pretribulation rapture. Pretribulation is a man-made doctrine, and is the devil's gospel.
Tribulation is the devil's governing oppression over all those in the world who follow Christ. We are in the world, but not of the world.
John 16:33,KJV "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me(Christ) ye might have peace. In the world ye shall *have tribulation*: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Tribulation means: distress or suffering resulting from *oppression* or persecution, a trying experience, tribulation means trial.*
Acts 14:22 KJV
"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through *much tribulation* enter into the kingdom of God."
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, "*If any man will come after me, let him *DENY HIMSELF, and TAKE UP HIS CROSS,* and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.*" Matthew 16:24-26 KJV
*Tribulation started in Genesis when Adam forfeited his governance over the world, when he obeyed satan instead of God. Satan instead of man(Adam) has been the governing power over the world's ruling powers ever since. (Read Genesis, KJV).
Satan rules in the kingdoms of this World.
The kingdoms of the world( the empires) are referred to as beasts, because they are kingdoms without the true God( They are antichrists ). Satan is the one who gives the beasts their power. Read the Book of Daniel. Read Revelation to understand the end as it relates to the beginning in Genesis.
Matthew 4:8, KJV "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; [9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
Luke 4:5-8, KJV. "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this *power* will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Do you see? The devil lies: the power was not given to him freely by God.
God freely gave Adam(man) dominion over the earth, but Adam through his disobedience losses it to satan, when he *chose* to put faith in the devil rather than God.
*Satan( previously known as Lucifer) will continue to rule, though his total ruling power has been forfeited by the sacrificial blood of Christ, and the resurrection of Christ. Satan no longer has power over all souls unless you willingly give satan your soul.
Satan and his followers are hellbound. Satan no longer has the key over hell, death and the grave. He cannot hold captive of the souls that belong to Christ.
Christ's Sacrificial Blood forfeited all of satan's powers obtained through his deception of man & woman in the Garden of Eden.

On The Day of Christ: All who are Christ's and are dead will be resurrected, and those in Christ who are still alive until Christ returns will be transformed from mortality to immortality, and rise to the Spiritual( incorruptible bodies)of eternal life and peace, free from suffering, war, and pain. There are no tears, and no need for money in Christ's coming Kingdom, no rich vs poor, no pale skin vs dark skin, no upper-class vs lower-class, no aristocrats vs. peasants, etc. There are no narcissists in Christ's Kingdom. For we are all one in Christ Jesus, and there is no evil, or sin there.

What I’m gathering is the Finnish government doesn’t just want her to say homosexuality isn’t sin….they want her to say (and believe) that homosexuality is holy.
Please don't blame the whole government for an overly zealous prosecutor... I also don't quite understand where you got your impression. I think it would be good to get the supreme court ruling on this (and I'm hoping it would uphold freedom of speech).
@@Terhi2023 from the line of questioning and the statements being made, such as “you can quote the Bible but can’t agree with it” for example. We cannot even blame just a single zealous prosecutor, as this woman has had to defend her faith in two different trials now, and now possibly will have to once again do it in the Supreme Court. It’s absurd. But, this sort of thing isn’t unique to Finland. It’s happening all over.
@@TheRealQuartKnee Still, the government does not want her to say (and believe) that homosexuality is holy. "Holy" is simply not the language of government in Finland. In any case, so far so good - the courts have made the decisions on the side of freedom of speech and the courts are part of the state as much as the prosecutor's office. I don't believe any government official has said that you can't believe the Bible. I'm sure Päivi has misinterpreted this. (I'm basing this on more than this one interview as I've been following this case all these years. ) I agree with you that this is absurd but hopefully the silver lining is that the highest court will support freedom of speech.

I have a Bible verse in my personal email and my Belgian travel agent asked me to remove it and said if I didn’t he wouldn’t be able to work with me. He specifically said that in Europe my Bible verse was considered very offensive. I told him I could not in good conscience remove it and he dropped me like a sack of hot potatoes.
What was the Bible verse? I’m sure it was something encouraging if it was in your email.

For this prosecutor to be consistent, she should be trying to criminalize the publishing company and the book retailer, as well as the transport company that ships the Bibles. The prosecutor seems evil.

I’ve been through a few persecution for Christ situations. One was I gave the wrong pronoun for a man who is dressed as a woman just with a bra and a top but you look like a guy and talk like a guy had a beard and a mustache and was in a woman’s shelter~ he abused me many times and threatened me… But because I used the he pronoun instead of the she pronoun… I got kicked out of the shelter. I took it to legal aid in downtown Minneapolis, my lawyer was Christian and expecting a baby, her boss was LGBT. My lawyer caved they wouldn’t take my case.
If the abuse was physical I'd file charges. I'm sorry that happened at a time you had enough stress on your plate. The world's gone bonkers and Romans 1 is exactly what is happening. I was looking to get a new tire cover for my jeep and wanted one with Joshua 1:9. I think I'll rethink that decision.

Finnish doesn't distinguish "he" and "she" grammatically even in pronouns. Actually, here Finnish is arguably using (I haven't looked it up) a third person singular verb, when referring back to "the Church".
In English, the Church could be termed "it" as not obviously a physical person, or "she" as Bride of Christ.
A nuance totally missed by automated translation.

As a Finnish person I have to come in and say, this is unfortunately very misleading about the legal case. She was not persecuted for her faith or for quoting Bible, Finland has a freedom of religion and Christianity is the state Church. She was actually using the wonderful word of God to twist it into a political agenda!

Yes, all Nordic countries were strongly into Protestant Christianity for centuries, so that they even put big protestant crosses on their flags to declare what is their faith here and the fruit was visible, very little crime, almost no corruption, and very orderly living where things are being done, etc. yet in the last 20-30 years it has been a strong downfall, irreligiosity, atheism, agnosticism, is now the majority of the population. When I was in school in the 90's over 80% of the students said they believed in the Biblical God. In 2020 in the same survey only 15% of the students said they believe in God.

So, St. Paul speaks out about homosexuality (both lustful tendency and actual act) before the other things (see following) that pagans are delivered up to as punishment for dishonouring God, known with scientific certainty (see previous) by idolatry.

Let's be clear what happened here. This is about making scripture hate speech. Yes, God's word, and if you believe John 1:1, God is a crime against humanity. Humans cannot box God so they are going to box Christians. But this should not be a surprise as Jesus told us that we would be hated. Rev 20 people, that is where we are. Don't be deceived.

She is not being prosecuted and she is not on trial. Fake news. This story is old as hell.
Päivi Räsänen was put on trial twice. And the Finnish prosecutor wants to continue to harass her by appealing even after her acquittal. This was in the news for January 2024! So this unfortunately is NOT old or fake news. God bless her.
Some of her posts are truly very old like she posted something in 2004 and that was brought up in court just lately but the case itself started in 2019 and was finished just a few months ago when she was acquitted.
