You guys are the best 😆 Stop apologizing for being your awesome selves. It's harmless, hilarious banter. If people aren't into it, keep scrolling , stop trolling!
5:42 everyone jammin to the sax solo killed meee😂 always makin me laugh ps this sounds exactly like the studio version with the sax and instrumentals! In this performance tho the sax player added a little bit of spice
This reaction had me cracking up the whole way through - 360p video, bopping of the heads to the sax and Shrek 2? You guys are the gift that just keeps on giving 😂
There are several directions I would love to see Taylor explore in future albums. Like everyone, I would love to see a rock album. But pursuing this jazzy False God vibe would be great as well, and I'm sure both options would be extremely popular. Some of my ideas that might be a bit less popular would be expanding on the vibe we hear in "The Lakes" from the folklore album (I'm not sure what to call that...1940s? something?). I would also love to see her lean into some blue-grassy vibes - I love whenever there is banjo in her songs. I don't know what is Travis's favorite genre but, whatever it is, I suspect that it will have a major influence on her next album.
I'd love to hear a Taylor Swift rock opera album...Quadrophenia, Tommy, The Wall, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc. Reputation and Cardigan/August/Betty hint at it. The opportunity for storytelling from multiple perspectives and across songs would be superb.
Ha, don't think I've ever laughed so hard at one of your videos! Evan listing the multiple ways this reaction took a turn into some interesting territories 😂😂
One of my very favorite songs from her 7th album Lover. The main difference is the saxophone solo... there is saxophone in the album version but no solo lol.
Love the reaction!! Someone has to send you guys the version when she sings it on The Eras Tour the vocals are way better. I saw someone else in the comments say that this performance is their enemy and it is so true. I swear she sounds so much better on The Eras Tour trust me.
I've noticed Taylor can struggle with pitch specifically at the SNL performances. People rave about the All Too Well SNL performance, but vocally, it's one of the most off pitch performances I've heard from her in years. Maybe it's nerves or that stage? And this is not a serious criticism of her abilities at all. It happens to every vocalist. I've just noticed it the most at different SNL performances from her.
I always think the same thing when people recommend this specific performance... I'm like, but the track is so much better. I do love the live jazz player ofc but I feel like you can't get the full effect of this song without the production and her voice was definitely off that day.
@@emmavinkI’ve heard that SNL soundstage is kind of difficult for some reason and a lot of artists struggle to stay on pitch there. I think their sound setup is more for speaking than singing voices maybe? She probably has more control over scenarios when she is producing a live concert.
@@DanielleFromMI I fully agree. I've seen a bunch of my favourite artists struggle with pitch there over the years. I also know the music stage at The Graham Norton Show is notoriously difficult to perform at. I suspect that open stages like that need more reverb put on the voice because the sound likely just dissapates up into the open stage. Anyone who has sung in theatres not meant for music knows that shitty feeling of your voice just dissappearing into the ether 😂😭
@@melissadavis4981 because it was my fault. A lot of their videos for Taylor get blocked so sending them links that other reactors use that don't get blocked helps them out. Sorry that I made an error with my donation. I'll try and do better next time.

great song, I'm biased though, I don't think there's one song of Taylor's that I don't like, but this is one of those songs where you can feel what she's saying, and her writing, always, remarkable!! Thanks, love watching you guys!!
You guys are friggin hilarious. So you don’t think all her songs sound the same, I don’t think so. I just started listening to Taylor, and I am a solid swiftie now. I have listened to all of her albums “Taylor’s version” on Spotify over and over, Taylor is a magician and a genius with her lyrics. She’s the whole package, down to earth and friendly. I even like football now too, pretty funny how things can change in an instant. ☮️ 🔜
One of my fave performance of her. Loved your reaction. Btw one thing I wanna ask you is maybe increase the volume of the video while uploading it's little too low
@emmavink I can't help it, man. I swear I heard this exact sound in an elevator years ago. When I played the whole album for my mom, she said the same thing. I like the song alot now (I think she does too, cause she says Lover is the best album. Don't know if she means it's her favorite or not...), but it took a couple listens for anything but that sax to stick even in the studio version.
@@RoseETempest I should have added, it's the only 💯 skip for me on Lover. I will often skip Me! and sometimes Paper Rings if I don't have energy... I listened to the studio album version again and I remembered that no, the live performance is better and I still don't like the song 😂 Content and melody is fine...the production and sax alongside the melody is totally elevator music...you and your mom are soooo right and I'll never be able to unhear it now 😂 The Sax solo in this performance was 🔥🔥🔥though.
This is up there with my top fave songs of Miss Swift, love the reaction. Still giggling at "moist" reference, gotta love that word, and I agree though, I think this song is sexy and seductive. 💋💋
The studio track is still sax heavy and very similar - in my opinion when she sings/performs live, the band and instrumentals are always more prominent. There are definitely lyric videos out there too.
so do you have to use the exact video that the person sent with the donation? cuz if you just look up false god snl, it's the first thing that pops up. it's on taylor's youtube channel.
Well we try not to use Taylor’s version of SNL because 100% of the time it’s blocked. I think the person who donated was hoping this version wouldn’t be….unfortunately it was also.
I think you guys fall into a TSwift connection. Didn’t she and Andy Roddick break up then she started going with the lead singer of Counting Crows who wrote “Accidentally In Love” for the Shrek2 album?
Sax slaps but I swear this performance is my enemy compared to the vocals for the eras tour surprise song and studio version. R&B Bon Jovi is WILD. Studio version is similar but vocals are much better. Sax is there just not the full solo.
But you didn't even slam her grooving? You just said it wasn't what you'd seen from her before and wouldn't automatically associate that vibe with her. I think that's fair enough. You didn't say it was bad. Taylor sounds best here when her back up singers are helping her keep pitch. I've noticed that her SNL performances do tend to be pitchy. I don't know if it's the stage set up or nerves, but her SNL All Too Well performance was super, super pitchy and not my favourite at all. The performance was fantastic, but the vocals really not the best compared to other live performances. Anyone that wants to throw a hissy fit at me, please stop. Every single vocalist in the world has performances where they are under or over pitched. It happens to everyone. Taylor is boss enough to move through it and she can usually adjust herself really well and she catches it very quickly. I love this performance either way because she just seems to be having the best time 😊
I don’t care for this song, for some reason everything about it has always sounded “wrong” to me. Off pitch, off beat, off rhythm, her words are not lining up with the beat of the music. Like she has words and she has music and they don’t line up correctly. And it hits my ear just right where I want to jiggle it, like it’s out of tune. I want to like it because everyone talks about this performance but again it just sounds so wrong to me. I don’t know why because Taylor is one of my favorites.
You guys are the best 😆
