    Simple solution... Laundery.
    Copy them from raw reels to digital copies and distrinute them anonymously.
    Dont let lost data die with you

    The whole thing is BS. The BBC has had a well known amnesty for years for people with missing material. It is also their policy to only copy that material and then return it. It was a former employee of the BBC who returned Galaxy 4:3 and underwater menace: 2 in 2011. That fact makes me seriously doubt the accuracy of these reports.

    Theres so much red tape surrounding the missing episodes returning. I doubt the BeebBeebCeeb would press charges, just be glad to have them back. All the episodes were transferred from videotape to film negatives a few times for export, except for "The Feast Of Steven".
    Theres also the argument that a lot of them are being held to ransom by disgruntled ex employees who were abused/bullied during their work there 😮😮

    I dont believe this, but in the small chance they do have them, handing them in anonymously would of course be the best idea. However the only one i truly do believe is that the tenth planet 4 is in private collection, due to Ian Levine, friend of mine and missing episode collector, claiming he knows the man who has it, however he is seeminly too sputeful towards the fandom and too selfish, himself to hand it in

    Recovering even one of the lost episodes should get those two knighted.

    I can understand their fear the BBC never had a good reputation for things like this

      The BBC has had a well known amnesty in place for years for people returning missing material. It's more likely the article is BS.

    Can we fly the timr and relative dimension in space machine to get the rest of the episodes back

    A legitimate concern, given the UK's history with things like this.
    But that's when you just get help from the internet. Find someone who can convert the footage to digital files and send copies anonymously. 😊

    If that's the case they should keep them even if the rest of us can't watch it's not fair to arrest someone for something no one until recently wanted and in addition they threw them out so any prosecution would just be petty at this point

    Money talks. This is the world. There is money in the DVD and streaming rights to these episodes. Make a freaking deal. True fans will pay through the nose to see these episodes. Limited theatrical releases will make money. SMH.

      🤔 they were wiped by the BBC before checking that they existed anywhere else due to cost constraints on film.

    • @brewster_4
      @brewster_4 9 месяцев назад +3

      @@semajttam well they didn’t even care if it existed somewhere else. In those days TV was aired once and that was it. Home video and reruns didn’t exist. Once something was broadcast the actual film was considered worthless.
