I enjoy going back and rewatching your MOTU Classics reviews because it makes me want these figures done in the Masterverse line & to hear about the history of the figures.
It's weird how they will give some of the Masters of the Universe Classics there vintage special features and the others they don't, I will be picking up these two guys, Thanks for the review!
These are cool figures. Thanks for the review Dan! I kind of wish they would have just given them good articulation and not worried about making them light up. I get that's kind of all they have going for them... but nobody else got features (pumping blood etc).
You said final vintage figures. Does that mean the absolute end to the MOTUC or is it just the last figures that were remade from previous MOTU lines that came before?
+Talia al Ghul They have finished the 200X line and the Vintage however, Snake Mountain is still in development and they are still missing a handful of New Adventures figures, especially the vehicles.
+Talia al Ghul They are continuing MOTUC with two "half lines". Half a year of more misc figures (New Adventures, Filmation, 200x) and half a year of MOTUC 2.0 (Filmation style He-man, Skeletor, Beastman, etc...)
+Talia al Ghul He clarifies at the end. Every single Vintage figure from the original line has now been made. Whatever new things they throw at us is irrelevant. this was the last of the vintage figures.
1. The Powers Of Grayskull #1: The Legend Begins! (Thunder Punch He-Man) 2. The Powers Of Grayskull #2: The First Ultimate Battleground! (Snake Man-At-Arms) 3. The Powers Of Grayskull #3: Battle For The Fate Of The Universe! (Dragon Blaster Skeletor) 4. The Secret Origin of Skeletor!: Fate And Destiny (King He-Man) 5. He-Man & Skeletor! Their Final Battle! (Unnamed One) 6. The Fall Of Eternia #1: Homecoming! (Oo-Larr)
Nice touch on putting the He-Man head on King Grayskull's body. You can really see how a movie "inspired" He-Man might look if Sony weren't jerks about it.
Hello pixel Dan, I am your subscriber, and I have seen this video, I love the background melody that you have put, could you tell me what it is called to be able to download it? Thank you very much from Spain
+micronoid It includes the first three, but not "The Secret Origin of Skeletor!", "He-Man vs. Skeletor--Their Final Battle", or the "Fall of Eternia" three-parter. You do get all the vintage, PoP and New Adventures minis, the two pack-in comic storybooks, two promotional comics for 200X (one never released), an unproduced vintage mini-comic and a script for a second one.
Matthew Martin For the Love of Benji: the Hunted! I have but haven't started my "MiniComics Collected" giant book; now I find out they flipping *skipped* some? No way. We all bought the book to have the Complete Collection! And knowing some early ones (the good ones) were cut out... I'm going to contact Dark Horse directly and see if there's a way to get the missing mini comics. They must have them- why not include them?
No, it's not the early ones that were cut--it's the very newest ones, some of which weren't even published at the time of the book's release. And they weren't exactly 'the good ones'--the stories they tell tend to be pretty cliched and overstuffed, from what I've seen.
Thanks for the review Dan. I think next year the classics include only expanded universe/concept characters, is that correct? I am disappointed that you did not get the chance to give the subscriptions a shout out before they closed. I have the subscription I need, but if I remember correctly, last year you gave reminders about the end date coming up (etc).
How have i missed this??? I have the classic head Spanish Laser Light He-Man from the vintage line :).. and it works. But I love this. Of course they need a battery pack... heck.. they produce LAZER. To be honest...one has to wonder isn't the Grayskull beam more powerful than lazer?
It's just too bad that there are a lot of bootlegs of the original figures of these two. Can be hard to tell the difference sometimes because the actual figures themselves look like cheaply made knockoffs to begin with. The Classics figures, on the other hand, look fantastic and I'm glad I was able get them decently-priced on Ebay.
I hope they do these guys in origins, but I also wouldnt be too bummed if they just used a standard glow in the dark plastic for their weapons instead of the entire cumbersome action feature
not exactly every figure in the vintage line is covered... there was one figure I had as a kid, it was a heman and skeletor figure set with both figures having a kind of stilt armor on them, I don't remember them exactly. but heman had a navy blue kind of armor and had a pair of stilted attachments that came off a detachable backpack that he could stand on
shinmusashi44 I got mine in a pack with figures...... ehh I probably got like a release special or something. mattel did a lot of those back in the day. like when you could by a heman and battlecat with skeletor and panther combo. had a few of those as a kid, know that for sure.
shinmusashi44 ehh, the weird shit from child hood I can't remember perfectly, ohh well still was a good set reguardless. but would make a nice addition to the classics line I think. I mean they've done pretty much all the other vintage gimmick character spins, hell all they need do now is the steroid junky heman from robot chicken outside of this one lol
I think of all figures to have the vintage figures gimick i think these were probably the ones that could benefit the most from it given the incredibly rare nature of them. I kinda think they could have minaturized the gimmick a bit more however.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to open mine because of how rare the vintage one was. While rewatching this video I was reminded that the last two mini-comics were included. So I thought, "I'd better open it."
Hm... still feel that I like the design more than the light-up feature. I REALLY love the look of these guys, and now that design is set to the side to get them to light up. This is sorta why I don't like action features that much: if I have the choice of a fully usable figure, or a hobbled figure that does ONE thing really well....I'd choose the usable one. Without the feature we could have had smaller backpacks, Skeletor would have had full articulation, and He-Man's sword could have been smaller and the giant handle wouldn't force the sword out of his hand when you move him. I mean, don't get me wrong: I love light-up features! It just feels like they sacrificed a lot to get them to do ONE thing really well, when they could have done ALL things really well and just compensated with cool plastic energy effects. There's a good chance I'll end up liking them when I get them in-hand, but I know I'll have to fix He-Man's arm parts and somehow get that giant sword handle to stay in his hand. That....that looks really annoying. Maybe I'll rubber band it in there. *sigh* That sword could have been so cool, too...
Generally, I prefer the standard MOTUC style of omitting action features in favor of articulation, but this is really the only set of figures where I'm glad the feature was included. Frankly though, even if they had omitted the action feature, I would have still wanted the oversized accessories to replicate the look of the original vintage figures, in keeping with the standard practice with this line.
Sir-Dude, a DJ could have a lot of fun with mixing samples of your review (most of minute 7 w/articulation and swivels would be great cut into samples- maybe add the ominous "DOOM, doom, DOOM, doom" from most of the tv commercials! "Swi,Swi,Swi- Swivel at the hips..."
These guys are so gaudy, they are a must-have. He-Man looks like a male stripper from outer space, but the figure is an interesting transition to New Adventures as Dan said.
Hmm....I have no nostalgia for these guys as I didn't even know they existed, like you said Dan, until the internet...lol. I find myself very "Meh" about these. No interest in light up features, I do think these could have been cool if they were done without the features and just had awesome sculpts and paint like most other MOTUC's....but like I said....this set holds no interest to me, but I'm happy for anyone who's inner child is bouncing off the walls :)
So cool, but ugh, that He-Man sculpt is HORRIBLE! I really don't get why they don't use the classic He-Man head on every He-Man figure. I never liked the 200X one, and they seem to totally favor that incarnation with all their He-Man figures.
I would of bought all of these figures maybe two of same figure in this line, great sculpt but left out all the gimmicks ,get back to me when the boneheads running this toy line put the gimmicks back in ,let me see marketing department ,1 put the gimmicks back in these amazing sculpts ,and collectors would buy these and one for their kids ,and create a next generation collector or leave them out , I got run it into the ground and then get fired ok who's in
I enjoy going back and rewatching your MOTU Classics reviews because it makes me want these figures done in the Masterverse line & to hear about the history of the figures.

MrFree2BeMe1 the whole thing could be better if Mattel scrapped a new Barbie sportscar and allocate those resources to He-Man! Shame, Matty, Shame!!!
It's not realistic to expect they would divert resources from one of their biggest retail properties to a niche collector oriented line.
Best He-Man head sculpt so far!
And the worst Skeletor,,,Like an UFO.
The laser light He-Man head on the King Greyskull body looks great as an unofficial "movie" version of He-Man. Nice work!
Might be Skeletor's look for Revolution
These are cool figures. Thanks for the review Dan! I kind of wish they would have just given them good articulation and not worried about making them light up. I get that's kind of all they have going for them... but nobody else got features (pumping blood etc).
13:03 That actually looks like a pretty cool figure to bring out on Halloween.
"Give me *all" of your candy!"
AWESOME REVIEW DAN!
PIXEL DAN IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
Love Motu Classics these figures and reviews, for me is the best line over modern lines, stay heavy and blessings! 🤘 😎
oh man, i can't wait for these.
These figures look great.
I actually didn't expect these guys, even though they were doing all classic figures! :)
Can't wait to get these
I really hope we get new versions of these guys in the Origins line (or whatever comes after it)
Cool Review of the final two figures. I can not seem to find a review of Dragstor. Is that review still coming?
we had these in uk in zodiac toy shop awesome review dan.
When do they start taking subscriptions at MattyCollector for their Thundercats line? Are they doing anything else for their MOTUC line before then?
You said final vintage figures. Does that mean the absolute end to the MOTUC or is it just the last figures that were remade from previous MOTU lines that came before?
+Talia al Ghul As I understand it MOTUC is being replaced with Classics 2.0 that's re-doing the characters in a Filmation style.
*****
I was wondering when they were releasing the animated versions. ty
+Talia al Ghul They have finished the 200X line and the Vintage however, Snake Mountain is still in development and they are still missing a handful of New Adventures figures, especially the vehicles.

Im confused. What other packs came with these mini comics????
1. The Powers Of Grayskull #1: The Legend Begins! (Thunder Punch He-Man)
2. The Powers Of Grayskull #2: The First Ultimate Battleground! (Snake Man-At-Arms)
3. The Powers Of Grayskull #3: Battle For The Fate Of The Universe! (Dragon Blaster Skeletor)
4. The Secret Origin of Skeletor!: Fate And Destiny (King He-Man)
5. He-Man & Skeletor! Their Final Battle! (Unnamed One)
6. The Fall Of Eternia #1: Homecoming! (Oo-Larr)
What kind of He-Man at 13:45 ? anyone knows ? thanks for the vid
It's the second King Grayskull figure with LP He-Man's head plus a Battleground Teela sword. Nothing original, just swapped parts.
AMAZING! I can't wait!
Hermoso el skeletor !!
Nice touch on putting the He-Man head on King Grayskull's body. You can really see how a movie "inspired" He-Man might look if Sony weren't jerks about it.
Skeletor took a trip to Mirrodin; he was never the same since.
Hello pixel Dan, I am your subscriber, and I have seen this video, I love the background melody that you have put, could you tell me what it is called to be able to download it? Thank you very much from Spain
I ordered the big mini comics book the other day. Does that mean that it won't include all the mini comics from the classics line ?

Are you going to do a collection video now it's the end of motuc?
Thanks for the review Dan.

I am disappointed that you did not get the chance to give the subscriptions a shout out before they closed. I have the subscription I need, but if I remember correctly, last year you gave reminders about the end date coming up (etc).
Hey Dan, I thought you had a Laser Light Skeletor figure? I remember you made a video about him in one of your Power & Honor vidoes
Great review! Thanks man!
How have i missed this??? I have the classic head Spanish Laser Light He-Man from the vintage line :).. and it works. But I love this. Of course they need a battery pack... heck.. they produce LAZER. To be honest...one has to wonder isn't the Grayskull beam more powerful than lazer?
13:10 No Comparisons? Didn't you already have a vintage Laser Light Skeletor in your collection already? What happened to it?
+Cameron Carr No, they were a loan from someone.
+shinmusashi44 Whoops, my bad. Thanks.
Hey Pixel Dan, any idea how to replace the batteries on he man laser power? I figured out Skeletor.
Never mind
Hey Dan. Big fan of yours. Could you please tell me with which classics figures I get all of the "new" mini comics?!Greetings from Germany.
He-man decided his sword needed to be forged in the far away planet of China, they make the most cost effective weapons.
What can you say about the included mini comics?
not exactly every figure in the vintage line is covered... there was one figure I had as a kid, it was a heman and skeletor figure set with both figures having a kind of stilt armor on them, I don't remember them exactly. but heman had a navy blue kind of armor and had a pair of stilted attachments that came off a detachable backpack that he could stand on
+DEATH111183 Nope. You are mistaken. That was an accessories set, not a figure. www.toysfromthepast.co.uk/Trev/2013/aug/01/stiltsstalker.JPG
shinmusashi44 I got mine in a pack with figures...... ehh I probably got like a release special or something. mattel did a lot of those back in the day. like when you could by a heman and battlecat with skeletor and panther combo. had a few of those as a kid, know that for sure.
DEATH111183
Yeah it could have been a weird pack set for something. But I can't find any packs with figures, only the stilt set alone.
shinmusashi44 ehh, the weird shit from child hood I can't remember perfectly, ohh well still was a good set reguardless. but would make a nice addition to the classics line I think. I mean they've done pretty much all the other vintage gimmick character spins, hell all they need do now is the steroid junky heman from robot chicken outside of this one lol
Their faces make them look like the've aged quite a bit. He-man looks like he's in his late 40's and Skeletor looks like he's just melting
THIS version of Skeletor might be some sort of ROBOT!
I think of all figures to have the vintage figures gimick i think these were probably the ones that could benefit the most from it given the incredibly rare nature of them. I kinda think they could have minaturized the gimmick a bit more however.
Plastic cape is necessary. Also, loincloths don't go all the way around. You're thinking of briefs... tighties... 'nanner hammocks.
He looks less like Dolph Lungren, and more like David Hasselhoff.
Don't you still have to do a review of Multi-bot and Dragstor?
I wasn't sure if I wanted to open mine because of how rare the vintage one was. While rewatching this video I was reminded that the last two mini-comics were included. So I thought, "I'd better open it."
where's the Multi-Bot review??
They should have used that metal paint from this He-Man figure on the flying fist He-man figure
I love Skeletors face.
Hm... still feel that I like the design more than the light-up feature. I REALLY love the look of these guys, and now that design is set to the side to get them to light up. What do you mean the last? I want Granita, and King Miro!
I was really expecting to get in some point a Filmation He-Man :(
I've seen much smaller figures with far more complex light up features, I don't get why all this bulk was needed.
Light 'em up up up
This version of he man,s face looks like dolph Lundgren from the 80s masters of the universe movie
What??..no $6000 comparison time? lol ;p
He didn't show the vintage ones for comparison.
+halfmanhalfmetal He clearly said in the video that he doesn't own them.
Am gutted a sold all my originals, the only one i still own is the Malaysian version of he man
Skeleton is killer
wow
These guys are so gaudy, they are a must-have. He-Man looks like a male stripper from outer space, but the figure is an interesting transition to New Adventures as Dan said.

Man. Normal Skeletors head is fuggly compared to the others
DRAGSOR DRAGSTOR DRAGSTOR DRAGSTOR
no comparison time? it's doesn't matter since the original sucks... they're rare for sure, just because people didn't buy them when they came out.
It's Dolf LunGREN, not Dolf Lunjren, wow, you can't even pronounce an easy name,
I hate light up/electronic toys so these are an easy pass for me. very disappointed spoilt what could've been a great set
You could just....like....not use the light up effects 🤷
the head is from a superman figure
I would of bought all of these figures maybe two of same figure in this line, great sculpt but left out all the gimmicks ,get back to me when the boneheads running this toy line put the gimmicks back in ,let me see marketing department ,1 put the gimmicks back in these amazing sculpts ,and collectors would buy these and one for their kids ,and create a next generation collector or leave them out , I got run it into the ground and then get fired ok who's in
This video has nothing to do with Anschüts' laserpower rifles, therefore I dislike it.
