It only took 32 years, but the 8 year old in me is backflipping over the best Skeletor I've ever laid eyes on. Thanks for the review. I didn't know I could be even more stoked for this line than I already was.

@@kryoboy1966 Definitely. MoTU is my golden toyline, but the Batman vs TMNT stuff had me reliving kung fu shenanigans in the backyard. With all the cool stuff coming out these days, kid me is having a field day.

Dude over the years i bought 3 different Skeletor figures and tried to repaint them to make them look like the movie version. I didn't do a bad job but it still didn't feel the same. When I saw these on Bigbadtoystore, I did not hesitate. I bought this guy and He-man together.
My absolute favorite incarnation of Skeletor!!! I need to get this!

I am the same way with this figure. I wanted a Frank Langella Skeletor ever since seeing him for the first time. I love how Frank has been quoted saying Skeletor was one of his favorite characters to play in his career 👍 hopefully he gets one of each of his movie figures.

I was so stoked when I was opening these that my wife was very amused. I kept trying to explain how I was feeling and she summed it up with, "the toys a young boy wanted and an old man got," LOL. I cracked up over that one!
Matt Kayser ...my ex didnt get why i loved toys...its the reason i divorced her. She said it was either the toys or her....well she sure got the surprise in the end!

Thanks for this review Dan, as a child of the eighties my Mum and Dad took me to see the Masters movie and I loved it. I'm now 39 and genuinely tearing up seeing that figure. Everything I wanted as a kid. Looks perfect.
Super 7 truly nailed it. If they keep this quality up for TMNT and other we will all be very happy.

Man, this guy looks absolutely incredible. If only we could get just one more set of figures and get movie versions of Teela, Man at Arms, Beastman, and Evil-lyn.
Dan I just want to say a huge thank you for your dedication to the Classics line. You are the one who sold the idea to fans across the world with your enthusiastic, exciting and truthful video reviews. Not to mention all of the interviews from the comic-cons that people like me can only dream of attending. Equally this figure has me deeply excited and hope to own him some day. Thanks Dan for allowing us to feel like kids again.

I'm glad I ordered these even though I hated the movie as a kid. These do look great.
When I was a kid, I thought the film would have been fine, if they had stayed in *Eternia* for the entire film.
That would have helped. I was a mad 12 year old when I saw it.
somarriba333 I understand why the 12 year olds hated it. But to us younger( I think I was 9) it was just fine and dandy. Infact I loved it. Just young enuff to not care if it was on point or not.

I got the 1987 movie figures 2 and I love em they awesome the movie gets a lot of hate but it was awesome 2 me it 1 of my favorites

I was a huge fan of the cartoon and toys but the movie always seemed odd. They nailed the look of Skeletor though in the movie and the actor did good in the role. What a great figure!

Amazing, Dan. I'm so glad I got these. Ordered an extra Despot Skeletor and Rebel Leader He-Man to keep carded. Like many, I was disappointed in the film (I hated it, actually) as a kid, but have come to appreciate it more as an adult. It's still not great, but it's not totally terrible either. I will remind you that there are more than 4 Club Grayskull figures coming. We still have Prince Adam and Shadow Weaver as well.
Same, I was so disappointed when I walked out of the theater. But this character is amazing.

Just got mine today! My first ever Super7 figures. Broke the bank a little and the wait was insane but definitely don’t regret the purchase. Now to save up for the Thunder Cats lol

What an AMAZING figure! I am ecstatic and deeply saddened at the same time! I love this figure (and set) soooo much and I would love to see Super 7 continue with the Classics line...and I am saddened that Mattel is messing this up and stopping the line. I almost feel like Mattel pulled it because they were jealous that Brian and Super 7 were doing so good and getting so much attention! I know they have their new line coming out and Super 7 was given Thundercats...but like you said...I think Super 7 has just figured out how to correct all of the little things that showed up from time to time in previous sets that always bugged me. Anyway, with these AMAZING HORSEMAN SCULPTS, I think it is easy to say that this last set may well be the BEST SET to ever come out of the Classics line and there have been so many great ones! Thanks for another great review! I do appreciate you and all your hard work as well!

This thing looks amazing, I loved Frank Langella's Skeletor from '87.
I'm primarily a Transformers guy but I'm gonna have to get this.
So glad we got these, and so unfortunate there's STILL no movie Beastman!
I know I'm a little late on these, but I do have a couple of questions.
BBTS still has these for order, yet for He-Man and this Skeletor, the don't list all the accessories in their photos. For He-Man, they don't list his blaster. For this Skeletor, they don't list his sword. Yet it says the packages are "case fresh".
If I were to order these, would them not listing a couple of the accessories something I would need to be concerned about?
I have one of these in loot pile limbo at the BBTS. He looks amazing.

By the old ones if I ever get a Skeletor figure this would have to be the one the only definitive Skeletor figure to ever own and have such iconic pieces and weapons special for kind of videos and set I want to make yes oh my God yes this would be the one and it looks like it would fit in with that new Conan the Barbarian series coming out
If this is the end of Classics they have gone out with a bang when you look at the detail on these figures.

I thought they made a toy line directly for that movie including the movie version of bonehead. Who is the cat girl on the back of the package that you said is coming out later on I don't recognize that character from the cartoon.
I remember seeing the movie in theaters. It was the first movie I seen in theaters. I don't collect the figures but I want these four.

It's weird to see those human eyes behind the white mask. Skeletor isn't supposed to have visible eyes but they didn't have better ways of doing this back in 1987.
I'm really kicking myself that I passed on Blade, Gwildor and Saurod back in the day. I skipped those because I thought these figs would never see the light of day. Oh well, at least I have these ones on the way.

I love that this figured is finally made. I only wish that they sculpted the body to be more screen accurate. I’d rather have the more lean Skelator instead of this juiced Langella version. Seeing him with the cosmic key and his staff is just awesome though 😄
