Noam Chomsky, already decades ago, made exactly the same point about the moral duty of US to take in the victims of its ruinous foreign policy. And of course in the case of my own particular bete noir - the ghastly statist policy of the War On Drugs - its interesting to note that right up until the 1960s Central and South America were presented as exotic, quaint, colorful societies possessed of an Old World charm. Then in 1971 President Richard Nixon deployed his War On Drugs project - and Central and South America were transformed from peaceful if poor regions to very dangerous and very poor ones. The War On Drugs is a particular tactic in the overarching strategy of US foreign policy to unleash sufficient chaos in a region so as to prevent it from developing and maturing to the point that it could conceivably be strong enough to resist US hegemony. Israel plays the same role in the Middle East. Ukraine plays the same role in the region of the former USSR. And Taiwan plays the same role in the Far East. Collectively these tactics constitutes the logical progression of Mackinderism - a philosophy of world hegemony arising in the era when the preeminent world empire was Great Britain. Interestingly the Brits likewise deployed a War On Drugs of their own, in service to their aspirations for world hegemony. While the Opium Wars were the mirror image of the modern day War on Drugs - they were congruent as to goals.
I'm 32, dropped out of college at 20, returned at 30, and I'm graduating with my Masters next month. Some of us had to make hard choices for finances, mental health, etc. Since I can finally earn enough money to support my family, I can dedicate more time to get organized locally.
11:20 🤔 I don't think Sam's point is that Shapiro is untalented. Rather, that the difference in their popularity is more attributable to their difference in financial backing than their difference in talent.
Two of the “voters” he got “owned” by were Parker and Dean who each have 1 million level TikToks and do photo ops with Harry Sisson, whom documents show is a DNC paid social media influencer.
And Ben Shapiro is a RUclipsr with millions of subs who has several “dark money” backers. What’s your point? When Ben has to debate anyone but a random, ill-informed college student, he shows his ass.
@ well two of them, Parker and Dean have 1 million+ tiktok accounts. And they are pictured on Twitter with Harry Sisson who is a paid influencer for the DNC. So is that clout? I don’t think so.
@@colonialstraits1069 if you think that’s what that was, you’re high on your own supply and I doubt you’re even operating at a HS reading level. Those children spoke purely in catchphrase talking points with ZERO thoughts to offer. Shapiro is a bad guy and y’all gooning over never landed gotchas shows why he’s so rich, you’re underestimating your enemy to a point where you deserve their mockery.
Why are there thousands of right wingers debating well but i have to search for left wing debaters. Can anyone recomend some good left wing guys? And please font say pakman or kyle kilineki... Probably butchered the spelling.
Hasan Piker is one of my favorites, Pakman is very balanced and civil, just depends on what youre looking for. Hard to debate with people who have no spine
Lol I'm 30 in my second year of college. Went for a year after high school on scholarship, took a 10 year break and started back last year.
Congrats on recontinuing your college journey! Hope you have a good one.
if only your teacher had some real world experience. I love asking teachers to defend tenure
congratulations on going back. Not the easiest thing to do but on-line classes help

Freakin nice shirt Ben! I just saw Maiden last week in Montréal.
Just checking in, how did the election turn out?

I mean, the people that join jubilee aren't just random nobodies but people with some level of clout. It's the anything wrong about that?
And Ben Shapiro is a RUclipsr with millions of subs who has several “dark money” backers. What’s your point? When Ben has to debate anyone but a random, ill-informed college student, he shows his ass.
Thinking this is an argument only points out your own laughable stupidity.

Destiny is worth a try, you may like him
Medi Hasan. Also, in this same type debate on Jubilee in Ben’s place was an informed “left winged” young man named Dean. Gave me hope. 💫
