    This was such a sweet video!
    You did a fabulous job in showing all the features of this little machine and your bread looks amazing.
    I live in my travel trailer with my Hubby, 2 dogs and 2 kitties. I've been looking at the universal plus knowing I'm not going to have room for it😪 You helped me make a decision on the compact which is a no brainer but we want what we want... I believe this will be my chose. I've just been hearing so much about the plastic parts and breakage but I have 2 kitchen aides and they have both been in the the shop for service, so there's nothing perfect I guess. Again, thankyou so much for sharing your wisdom and God Bless You.

    I love the way this mixer is designed, the shape of the bowl and angle of the beaters that get to everything at the bottom - genius!

    This helped me to decide to purchase my Bosch Compact mixer, looking forward to making this yummy looking bread. Thanks so much for making this video. Don't know why some people have to make nasty comments..must be competitors. I have seen comments saying the Bosch is not as classy looking as KA but I find this compact rather cute and it fits right in with my kitchen, functionality is key to me though, not so much looks! I love my "Baby Bosch!

      Indeed. No question that the KA is eye candy but for functionality? Give me this little cutie any day.

      Only snobs would buy a kitchen utensils based on looks. First it has to do its job, then it should look at least acceptable.

      A Kitchenaid would struggle and overheat with this amount of whole wheat dough. KA's are more of a cake, or cookie dough mixer. I like my vintage K5-A Lift Bowl Kitchenaid but it has it's limitations when it comes to heavy bread dough's

    I were just on a shopping investigation for that to get a suitable machine for my needs (baking bread first and formost). Amongst others I found all the Bosch MUM series while checking all the specified bread doughs weight capacities in cross brand and models comparisons. Most standard duty home market price range machines only guarantees bread dough weights usually less than 1 KG of flour (add water ++ to 1 Kg flour and you will most usually exceed their guaranteed load capacity). Thats 2 small breads worth, our market over the pond typical "mix kit" sales is 1 Kg flour size. MUM 2 Specs; 1,7 KG. MUM 5 specs 1,9 KG. Do you see lot of people destroying their smaller machines on guarantee void overloads ? As in, how tough are machines like these typically, compared to manufacturers written limitations ?
    Ought I rather put on fire a 1200 dollars worth, in a more professional aimed Kenwood like kitchen monster creature ?

    Have you looked into what the dough enhancer actually contains? I think you'll find it contains free glutamic acid which is an excito-toxiin used in MSG and other food additives ie "natural flavors".

    • @brummie111
      @brummie111  3 года назад +2

      Hi Emily, not sure which dough enhancer you are referring to. The one we use contains whey, lecithin, soy powder, citric acid, yeast, sea salt, corn starch, ascorbic acid and honey

    • @HotVoodooWitch
      @HotVoodooWitch 7 лет назад +1

      Some of them were rated at 450 W (including the model I have) but the Compacts for North America are all 400 W now, I think. I don't know that it makes all that much difference.

    I noticed you said the machine has a 450w motor, i just ordered from this company yesterday which is aug 31 2021, the Bosch compact mixer says it has 400w, did they cut back on the watts and why?

    • @darkerbrother1
      @darkerbrother1 2 года назад +2

      I think it depends on where it is sold. In North America it’s 400 watts.
      I have had one 14 years and I still love. It is perfect if you make bread

      Claudia Roitman Yes, it definitely is. I have used mine for over 20 years for bread, cakes, gâteaux, biscuits, cookies - and with the extra attachments for food processing, potato chips, casseroles, kugel, ground meat, salads, coleslaw, shakes, smoothies, grinding coffee and spices, chopping onions and herbs etc.

      Javajin In Europe, they sell this model with different wattage: 400, 450, 550, or 600 W.

    • @HotVoodooWitch
      @HotVoodooWitch 6 лет назад +1

      I'm in the US and my cousin and I have older 450 W models for the NA market. The machine probably doesn't need the extra 50 watts but we're glad to have that 12.5% boost. :))

    SPOILED after 1 year for both hood n mum59340.
    do you know how much it will take to repair it?
    for the TELESCOPIC hood, one small slice of the flimsy filter panel. @$64
    You need to pay up to 128 for both.
    mum5, $122 for a minor fault, the drill can't go in fully. protruding out half an inch. diagnose cost $46. you got to send it personally to their service centre. subtotal $168
    add up the total for both. $168+$128+cab fare = approx $316
    you are better off purchasing other company's product.
    to top it up, my wife recommended it to a friend. her one is even worst. lasted for only 1 month. she sends it for repair at the service centre twice and it's still not fixed. her cab has already cost her $50, not including the repair fee yet.
    don't buy Bosch. you will regret it.
