This is considered the 6th hardest game on GBA. It looks like the type of game where you have to specifically memorize every enemy spawn and such and, looking at the footage, it looks like this person has absolutely mastered the game.
Really? I always thought it was quite easy and short. Never heard anybody calling this game difficult until today. Maybe most people remember playing this with Tal'Set and that could be why, because if you do it with Djunn you really don't even need to use any weapon but his melee attack.
@@turn7boom108 I mean unless I know that for a fact, I wouldn't accuse people of doing that. There are some games which are very difficult that I can complete in one sitting almost effortlessly through practice. So I don't wanna discount someone else.
Same here. I lost my copy, because my mom lost her purse. I was very sadden by it. Might have to find me a copy of this game again. Maybe I'll emulate it out of nostalgia sakes. It's funny that I use to play turok evolution, because at the same time when I was traveling to honduras to see family, I was introduced to metal slug X.
At 19 or 20 years old is when I would have first seen this title; I grew up with the N64 original Turok saga + Daikatana... although I honestly didn't play much of Daikatana sadly and would love to buy this title for the original Onyx tinted N64 device/unit.
This GBA version along with Turok 2: Seeds of Evil escaped my clutches and became myths and hearsay just like Dinosaurs & Early men/women. There is no time like the present, literally, so I might as well buy a used Nintendo Gameboy Advance and these 2 titles to finally see what all hoopla was all about! 😟🤷🏼♂️😂😳
I remember back in 2002 me and my mom moved out to bumfuck nowhere and this was the only game i had for my gameboy. Even had the light attachment lol. This game kept me from dying of boredom.
Great graphics, large stages, and fairly good sound. The design is just wayyy too difficult!!! Enemies appear out of thin air, and many hits are unavoidable.
best turok game for the gameboy turok was always a classic game character the gameplay kicks ass the graphics awesome the sound good the music great overall i give this 9 out of 10 i bought this at a boot sale a few years back loose cart for a pound well worth it if you like this game check out operation c for the orinigal gameboy that kicks ass and a shit load of fun
Haven't finished the video yet, now I'm excited to see what the end is like!! Remember when Echo The Dolphin did something similar with it's final level/ boss 😅 giant scary eldritch alien!
There’s a secret ending to this game, if you go to options select the difficulty from normal to pro and beat the entire game without taking any damage and chose to not to kill Bruckner, the secret ending reveals Tal’set returning back home and lived happily as an old man with his tribe thriving once again.
Lol, I only watched a few minutes and I see that in this game you see your weapon wheel, Turok can actually climb down ladders, has decent jump physics and he can fall from more than 2 feet high without breaking his hip. It's funny to see how many things the GBA got right that the FPS version screwed up.
This game looks good to me but doesn't look like a Turok game. Turok is usually based on exploring as well, and this seems more linear and straight forward, while most Turok games had me scratching my head on where to go next and going back to certain areas only to find out that i missed something. I guess if you're a fan of Contra you'd like this game. I am a fan of both, but this game probably would've been better off as a seperate game, Not a part of the Turok series. But that's just me.
The one boss between the 35-36 minute mark sounded like he was making the death sound the Arch Vile makes from the Doom games. Except it sounds like it gets cut off fairly quickly. Maybe I'm just hearing things. The music in the spaceship level reminds me of the Ravencroft level in the 90s Spiderman game based on the 90s cartoon. Those guitar riffs sound similar. Plus the level afterward, the opening beat reminded me of Party Man, from the now late Prince. Then the music kinda shifted into giving off a similar feel to the level The Revolution from Battletoads.

logan It's the lost lands. It's basically a dimensional anomaly that pulls many things from multiple time periods into a central planet. Dinosaurs vs. Aliens vs. The U.S. Army? Totally legit.

This game made me feel like a fucking idiot when I was a kid - glad to see it wasn't just me lol
@@scythe321 I played it as teenager. Trust me, it's pretty difficult and that's what makes it a good game. Enemies are relentless and heavy armored.

For the record they use save states to record the footage, so it's not really mastering they're doing. Just showing off the game.

The soundtrack for this game is unjustly underrated. One of the catchiest GBA music I've listened to.
I remember this was my first GBA game back when I was 6! Damn how time flies...
My first GameCube game when I was 10.
Wow ur young as shit. Why u playin a turok game when ur 6. Good parents u got...

I grew up with the Gameboy advance my whole life and I am so sad that I missed out on the opportunity to play this. I never knew this even existed.
i got the smallest suspicion that the people who made this game are metal slug fans
+bazz Me too.
Or Contra.
lol
Yeah there are many Elements and Soundbits reminding on Metal Slug.
I remember back in 2002 me and my mom moved out to bumfuck nowhere and this was the only game i had for my gameboy. Even had the light attachment lol. This game kept me from dying of boredom.
Holy bawls this looks much more fun than the console game.
SpooferJahk depends one which console n64 turok was awesome
It was.
It is. Its SO much better!
This game had secret levels and I remember in the first one, you can get the alien pistol upgrade sooner than later.
7:09 righ into the wall
4:41 in the left corner of this pit
5:38 the alternate fourth level

Hey, another Blood/DOS fan :D
So many fond memories of this game from my childhood
До сих пор в подобные игры играю на своём старом Геймбое)))
Awesome game, alien weapons were the best
5:10 It looks like that dinosaur's dancing to the music.
Dope Moves!
My favorite GBA game. It can be brutal but it is a blast!
I played this game so many times on my GBA SP I memorized every enemy placement that I got thru levels without losing any health with both characters
Man, if this game can get on the nintendo eshop...
i miss playing this game, it had a cool story
The music in this game is on of the top 5 music in gba
one Of the Best gba game. great Version from a great game
19:10 I laughed outloud when that guy blew himself up with own grenade 😆
Bro your a master at this game im 100% impressed
I remember playing this when i was like 8-9 and it took me forever to beat the first level... you just ran through that entire thing holy shit 😂
Never knew about this games, untill today! 😊
Great graphics, large stages, and fairly good sound. The design is just wayyy too difficult!!! Enemies appear out of thin air, and many hits are unavoidable.
But man some levels towards the end kept you on edge. 😬

I still remember this, when did this game came out on the gameboy
Bulking Smeagol 2002
I was not expecting it to go full H.R. Giger at the end
Haven't finished the video yet, now I'm excited to see what the end is like!!
Remember when Echo The Dolphin did something similar with it's final level/ boss 😅 giant scary eldritch alien!
I have returned. Yea some bio-mechanical shenanigans were going on in that ship! This game has some great art.
I never got past the boss stages till I figured out how to do the counter melee move when an enemy jumps on the platform to you
Just make sure to get out of the way before they land on you. Keep spamming B and you'll melee them automatically
@@nickturnbull5454 right
This could've just as well been given a new sheet of paint and called "Metal Slug IV"
Once u figure out how to do the boss stages and memorize how to deal with enemies at certain parts of the game it's a breeze
This game reminds me of the SNES/Genesis game "Doom Troopers" for some reason.
Is it sad if
• if i think this is better than console
• watch this primarily for the music
Ummm...i don't see the harm. To each their own bro
the best game for game boy advance fue el primer juego de mi infancia
AKA The good Turok Evolution
This is my childhood right here 😪😪

wow thanks for upload. I remembered the time when i played this game on my advance :3 so long long time ago
The game of my childhood
i miss playing this game, it had a cool story
Frick i wish i could have the infinite clips for my guns in cod like this! never reloading!
btemplr4 Better than the GameCube version.
legozombieboy No, I don't think so. I like this game because of the music and story.
The problem with gamers is that they want everything perfect.
I love that classic comic book art-style. I'm sick of seeing hyper realism all over the place.
This game would be great if it weren't obscenely difficult.

Haters de gba fuera
Lee un poco el texto antes de acusar de hater. ¿O eres un bot que se dispara ante determinadas palabras?
Turok wanted to be a long lasting series. They have it all they can and had a great run, until Disney messed them up.
I may have this for PS2, but this gba version looks fun and I may consider buying it
I use to have this game as a kid. Sadly lost my copy.
Best boss quest soundtrack in game history
Turok meets Contra
Controk
Reminds me if Call of Duty Finest Hour was ported to the GBA and it would be a 2D side scrolling run and gun.
The music wasn't very memorable, but the enemies turning into bloody paste was!
The one boss between the 35-36 minute mark sounded like he was making the death sound the Arch Vile makes from the Doom games. Except it sounds like it gets cut off fairly quickly.

I can't see the name Tobias Bruckner anymore without thinking of EGM's Tobias Bruckner Awards for Bad Games.
Took me years to beat this
This Game Is Awesome On Gameboy Advance
This looks sick
this was my first game ever !!! when i was small im 15 know dam time passes by fast
porkypine805 now you’re 21. Damn.
And now you're 22 bro, hope you're doing fine 🥺
@@martemmie2711 I played it as a teen. I'm old now. 😭
man schiauci you are very good at this game.
PS2 version is WAYYYY more fun. Damn guys respawned too often which made is so damn difficult to beat.
Seems more like a metal slug variation than a Turok.
en el segundo nivel había un rocket launcher donde estaba el soldado es agachando y hay un camino con una arma
4:40 in the pit behind there were grenade launcher in the hiden tunel.
Played this as a 9 year old back then shit was hard asf lol
nostalgie
This was better than the console version
Why did you only use the hand gun ?
i cant believe one lousy handgun can make a tank explode.

Not as ridiculous than a dude with nanomachines throwing grenades at a tank to explode it.

finally found this game!! the thing i really remember is 8:39. im getting stuck here for the long time. its damn hard

Tal set is supposed to be native
Ugh, you must be fun at parties... This is a video game :D
He's mixed native & hood.
Yea no way this game has convinced me the Tal'Set in this game is native American in any way 😅 that's a standard issued gruff white dude protagonist!
You missed the hidden weapon in the first hole on the left at the beginning of the second level.
The gamecube one looks way better
Aw man, forgot I had this game... untill I sold all of my Gameboy, Color, and Advance games at a fucking flee market back when I was 15
