I was thinking the same thing. When Michael K got into character I never saw the scar. His talent filled the screen! I am heartbroken because we will no longer get to see his art. Like Chadwick Bozeman Michael was a triple threat: great actor, dancer and boy could he sing. Michael and Chadwick could sing as well as they could act. I am still struggling with Chadwick's passing now.........THIS. We may not have known them personally but we knew their work. That flame burned bright and now it has been extinguished. So incredibly sad..
Michael's generosity is so evident in this interview. When Dr. Hunter expressed her remorse about not doing more for the "exonerated 5", Michael comforted her by declaring there should have been a community effort to protect the boys. And according to his tributes, he lived this by showing up for his people. That is rare in a world where people can just remotely support. Rest in honor, peace, love King.
My stay son, just shared this sad new with us. He was a gifted artist! He will be truly missed! May the Good Lord comfort his loved ones during this time. 🙏🏽😞
Such a Dire Lost, a Viable Intellegent Man Blackman makes me really question his time and cause of death. Had a unique awareness of the importance of the portrayal of the authentic, non stereotyped multi-layered Persona of the Black Man in America. Neither Boardwalk Empire nor the Wire would have had the impact without our Brother. In fact President Obama said that Omar was his favorite character. That alone may deserve some analysis....

What a beautiful human being. I've never seen an episode of The Wire, but was riveted by Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire. His #Typecast video, shot recently is a must watch. May God rest his Soul and comfort his family.
I really liked him as an actor. It is so sad that drugs was his ending. So many of our Black Men are dying either thru drugs or violence!

Mr. Michael K. Williams really was a voice for the community. I did not know how deep it went until his death. I could hear the depth of motion when watching interviews from him after Lovecraft's Country.
