I know I’m late to this video, but I am so glad I discovered it. I have watched a lot of parting system videos because I was really trying to see what the difference was between C/fan/crescent vs. diamond. Most videos describe them the same other than the shape. You made it very clear when it comes to styling what the difference is. Thank you! It’s going to be Crescent shaped locs for me!

I have locs but cut them off I’m going to get them put back in my head but I wanna make sure my parting is right and wanna be specific as possible I want them to lay down how King Von had his hair or how lil baby got his locs do anyone recommend certain partings?
Me now I have a middle part that I do not want. How do I get rid of it.

I've been waiting to get my locs started by a loc stylist but since I retwist my daughter and husbands I've learned how to keep up with them I just want someone to start mine for my parts but TODAY I think I'ma do my own based off one of these loc patterns to the best of my ability.

I'm very surprised you didn't mention the brick laying style of parting for thinner hair. It forces the loc to cover the scalp and as they grow out, they look thicker and beautiful

Great video bro I have had almost all the different parting styles threw out my several sets of locs but currently have the grid pattern and I personally like it the best on me for my thick locs

After being up late last night doing my hair I decided that I want to dread my hair. I’m always twisting my hair in styles similar to dreadlock updos so I figure I might as well just do it. Now I’m researching. I didn’t even know there were different type of dreads . Thank you for the information ☺️

I don't mind the scalp coverage, the diamond is my fav but I couldn't maintain that myself. Yours are looking cool!! twist out goals lol
So great full for this video, I did grab and go did my locks myself, mum and hairstylist put pressure on me about the parts, mum then chopped all the locs off and I have to start again, I don’t wanna show a tun of scalp, makes it look like you have very thin hair and my hair is far from thin, I will look into the crescent style, best of both worlds should be a good compromise ✌🏾+ 💜

I’m two months into the locking process and I have the grid pattern. What you said about the scalpiness is so true. The loc lady did do something that kinda makes me fall between the parts but the sclap is still heavily seen.
That why I restarted my dreads because of the thinning and scalpy look
I start my second set with triangle parting

Comb Coils with C-shape/Crescent posting is my favorite based on the natural parts with uniform locs. Your locs look great. Thank you for the videos highlighting the pros and cons of each parting method.

I’m actually gonna be starting my loc’s over in a few months. I’m cutting my loc’s off this week. I want a thicker look. But I do want to maintain my pattern in a strict and even grid pattern

Great video. I’m definitely struggling with my journey. I don’t like my parts. They are different sizes, and my lack of knowledge before starting my journey plays a part in it because the locticians that I’ve gone too so far just did whatever 😩🤣. Thinking about cutting them off and starting over.

Started my locs over cuz I wanted a full head of locs no more high top fades but I got them started she grab and went but they came out dope with no parting 👀
I'm currently 8 months in and that exact picture at 7:24 was stored in my phone way before I went to see my loctician. I really did my research because I knew leaving everything in the hands of the loctician could either go left or right. So yeah, I have crescent shaped parts because I think they're so unique and so far gives me wonderful scalp coverage. Very informative video!

I'm so glad I found your channel. I shaved my blonde out and am now a baldie. It's going to take some months, but at least I'm going to be moving in the right direction. I know I want the crescent parts and all, but I'm wondering now if it's damaging to your hair if you wear a cap or wig over your locs while working online?
My loc journey starts 5/31/20 with a qualified loctitian, I'm anxious, but I'm also excited since I've never had them before. Thank you so much for the tips and content in your videos, they are extremely helpful. I can't wait to get that first retwist and hit that year mark to see where my hair goes. Keep up the videos!

Loooooollll " It's Scalp City" . I love having thick locs, semi freeform and barely visible scalp. I will probably do Diamond or Crescent style. Max 50 locs.
I want to combine mine Lowkey! I love my locs but thick ones have always been better looking to me! Only reason I went medium thickness is cuz I wanted to make sure I landed a job lol

I have the natural look for my locs style. I do my own hair… Do not like pulling on my soft/fine hair. Keeping my hair clean and moisturized is most important. #lovingmylocs
