- Patricia Mutie knows what it means to work at any level despite their degrees...
She was able to make humble investments with the money I earned as a Housekeeper in Dubai. Worked in some of the great hotels there and was fortunate to grow from an information agent to a Director of Operations.
She is one of the few Kenyans to have held leadership positions in Dubai and she is sharing her experiences with those seeking to pursue careers out there in order to encourage them to pursue their dream

It's Wow
Thank you Lynn for hosting Patricia, she is the woman who hired me when I was loosing hope in Dubai. My story can be echoed by hundreds of people who work and live in Dubai.
Never demean a power of a woman ,I quote this as a man,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🍷
Worked with Patricia at Vida hotels and we did a ramadan tent at Ras alkohor she trusted me and gave me the supervisor level for the whole tent
Those were great times Jose. You were great at what you did.
I am in the diaspora and I resonate with Pat, she's such an inspiration.
Proud of her and her works.
My take home; be patient, trust the process and don't be chosy when it comes to jobs.
Keep up the awesome job Lynn 👏
Very inspiring 👏 I love her ,she's a strong woman 👩 watching from Eldoret, Kenya 🇰🇪
The Canadians are very kind.. my boss is from Canada. Even when u catch cold you'll not report to work
This lady is brilliant 👏 👌. She's dropping nuggets left right centre ....its up to us to pick-up or toss it. Her positive attitude is a breathe of fresh-air. She could even run courses on Customer Services....which is non-existent in Africa. Welldone Lynn for bringing her to the stage... This lady is simply incredible 😍 👏
I run customer service training aimed at improving our customer service here in Kenya using the power of soft skills. We are good at customer service but there is always room for improvement. Business slowed down during Covid but I'm slowly picking it up.
@@Patchypawz
Welldone sister 👏 . Africa needs Customer Services etiquette big time. Also, its worth teaching Africans: First-come, first-serve regardless whether the person on the line is black or white. A lot of Africans still have the colonial enslavement and worshipping, I might add..
What an inspiring journey... Am a concierge here In UAE can't wait to come with a testimony kama hii ya Patricia.
Keep going Carlos. Tap into those opportunities and be eager to stand out. Its possible.
You are absolutely right!!! In US, smiling is taught in school starting from head’s start.
Everything in the US is good to school for at lest for three months.
Even cleaning toilette school 😄 🤣 😂 😆
Hi rose share your email address please
Very inspiring.
Thanks Lynn for bringing us Patricia, she's very educative.
God bless you
She's has made me believe in myself i really look forward to meeting her and get to know and understand myself better thanks so much Patricia ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So inspiring.. if you’re abroad, always remember what you’ve sacrificed just to be there. Not being close to your parents, siblings, relatives and just your comfort zone. I mean.. there has to be an achievement difference and a concrete one as to why you’re not home. Anyone who’s never thought like this.. it’s high time to reevaluate and get a perspective💚.
Nice one I love your comment
@@sylviawangila9438 glad you do😊

Wow this was a beautiful interview. Lovely life tips to learn. Thanks so much for sharing your corporate experiences and the need for investment while the sun shines.
This touches me, i was once a cleaner and I always longed one day i will be an accountant. I felt so bad because my fellow staffs, customers and even superiors looked down upon me just because of my job. staffs could just make the floor dirt so that I can always keep on cleaning.. I enrolled and did CPA part time I thank Almighty God am now a CPAK holder and an Accountant in a different organization.
@@theladyengineer thanks
Congrats Mary.
Hey Mary, you reminded me of my boss. She started as a cleaner, went to school from cert to masters and rose through the ranks to HoD position and in the same organisation. Nothing is impossible with God.
So inspiring

This woman is the epitome of a GO-GETTER ! Well done and I wish you all the best.
That Lilian Harper asked me to loose weight and that I would never get a job if I am plus size .
This is really encouraging to hear and see that someone made it and she was plus size.Much love to Patricia.
Even now go take a look in the five star hotels here in kenya , you will find lightskin and slim girls . Please keep creating awareness.
This is the most encouraging story that I have heard in a long time. This story is so inspiring!!I tap into these kind of blessings. I am currently in Dubai and I cannot wait to raise to such levels.

Such an amazing interview. One of the many thing I have come out with from the lessons on this interview is to speak up to this white people. If you are in diaspora... Don't go back home before you build yourself a house, lemme take that to the bank💃
Have loved this conversation Lynn.Am glad you see the need for Kenyans to learn how to present themselves at interviews. We are too casual 🤦♂️
My my you remind me of my job interview in Dubai, what Patricia is saying is soo true 👍. Our people need to be educated on how to behave in diaspora to get a job.

Great interview, Patricia thank you for the wise words. God Bless You!
I have really enjoyed this, the most important I picked is how we present ourselves in Kenya, especially when looking for a job. Patricia, I`m happy for you, many in the diaspora send money but most of the time, find nothing or just a very small percentage and no one will explain where the money went.
Thanks so much Lynne for this.
Mama Patricia, You Have Taught Me Patience. Inspiring Too Much. Every Dream Shall Come To Pass. Kip up Lyn Coz We Learn Through People ❤❤
Ohhhhh my so inspiring ❤❤❤
Soon I should be there ,my professional ....
