This bass passage 2:20-2:38 is my favourite music moment of 2023, it just does funny things to my brain

It's not only the groove....it's how he fit the part before it with this one. Two completely different feels that worked beautifully together

This is one of the better uses of a djenty chug noise-scape I've heard, it all comes together really well into a distinct whole and creates a kind of melodic dissonance.
The vocals seems to be overshadowed because of the production. Cannot hear the vocals because music is overpowering which sucks man. I wanted to buy this album but this is the only reason I'm not buying it because I can't listen what he is screaming and when is he screaming because of the low pitched sound on vocals. Production either gone bad or maybe they wanted it. I don't like it this way. 😢
@@mannyblackstar Are you listening on extremely bass-heavy headphones? That's the only reason I can think of that'd make you not able to hear the vocals. I can hear them just fine with a ton of clarity.
@@static_motion I don't think that should be a problem because other songs I hear there's no problem with it
@@mannyblackstar This album has the mix pushed to its limits. Everything is balls-to-the-wall loud, but still very clear. Buster said one of his focuses in mixing this album was the low end, which is punchy as hell, so on very bassy headphones it might overshadow everything else. What are you listening on?

I just started listening to HLB, and I have to say I am not disappointed! This is everything a metal song should be, heavy, hard hitting and brutal, this is a fucking amazing song and there sound is like no other. Can't wait to dive into the rest of their music!
Love how this song sounds like a heavier version of an Allt song, which Buster mixes and produces, so makes sense, lol. Awesome 🤘

I'm curious if at 2:10 the lyrics are misspelled or they meant to use the word "plain"
I think it's intentional! As a metaphoric phrase, "the plain of existence" really paints a vast and endzeit-y picture - very on-brand.
@@I_am_Angerer Don't think that's the case, there are a few other small errors in the lyrics throughout the album. Nothing crazy but they just stuck out to me.
1:05 on Blood Spilled "When will you take the blame" is miswritten as "When we will you take the blame"
1:23 on Death Spiral "each other" doesn't have a space and is written as "eachother"
1:42 on Catastrophize "alleviate" is misspelled as "elleviate"
Again nothing too crazy but I did notice them during the album release. I remember a couple other tiny errors but I can't pinpoint them.

@@I_am_Angerer The only error I can find with the lyrics outside the videos is Catastrophize. “Alleviate” is misspelled as “Elleviate” in the video, and “Illeviate” in the lyrics under the video. HLB doesn’t really use puns in their songs so I’m 100% sure it wasn’t deliberate haha
