- Since having this Mini I've always been impressed by it's performance out the box. However, I'm quite a difficult man to please and I wanted to make this the quickest car I've ever owned.... so I decided to take it to WG Motorworks to see what it's remap potential was!
Considering this is an N14 on a stock clutch, I wanted to take no risks - so have gone for a safe figure whilst also giving a nice power boost!
In this video we take it to WG Motorworks to see what magic they can do. They've done great work on my old diesel Astra that I used to own so going to somewhere that I trust was essential. A big thanks to them for doing a great job!
#Mini #Remap #R56
now lets get that FN2 in to us to get mapped
I am trying to persuade Joe ;)
Is your back go diffuser complete? Or is it missing the rest of it's parts? Anyways, it looks good as-well!
Cool video. Enjoyed watching it. Well done guys
Thanks a lot! :)
Nice one mate, I had a the N18 with decat and intercooler, made 268 and 250 ft lbs with a dervtech map. proper good cars, miss mine sometimes
Thanks Louis! I do absolutely love it but wish I had an N18 for a bit of peace of mind! What car did you move onto?
@@jcscarculture5267 I had a chance to buy a vx220 turbo, rash buy. Then moved to a megane 275 trophy that I modified. recently replaced it with an s2000 which will be here to stay. If you get a chance to drive one you should!
Looks awesome! I'm looking to get my mini done next year and aim for 300bhp. I would love my car to feature on RUclips channels if I can hit that magical 300!
Nick Jack! 300BHP would be amazing, especially in a Mini!
We want more videos!!
We have a few things lined up now lockdown is easing 👍😎
Awesome video man!
Thank you bro
Cool vid boys just about to do my r56 n14 engine 2011 model was wondering how the clutch would cope lol i think 240is probably a smart move good luck
Thanks Stephen! I can’t speak for everyone but my clutch feels absolutely fine 6 weeks later and is showing no sign of issues so it’s held up well. It was definitely my biggest concern as the car is on 87k so is probably due soon. Though unsure if it’s been replaced in a previous life! Go for it though, it transforms the car!
Mega! What torque did you end up with mate?
Think it’s 250? We didn’t improve it by much to keep the clutch steady as I really don’t have the funds to fix that should it go anytime soon! Lol - I will check the printout in a while and check!
Was this done through the obd port or bench flashed?
Yeah mate .my jcw has done 100thousand klms an i have spent a fortune getting the car sound new timing chain wal nut blast vacuum pump water pump etc but i havent done a clutch so i might just follow you boys get it done to 240hpan pray lol cool video thanks boys im down in australia cheerd
Haha I was quite fortunate to have the engine rebuilt under warranty from who I purchased the car off. They were very helpful! Hope all is good in Australia, crazy to think a video has made its way to the other side of the world!
Yeah mate well it has an i enjoyed it especially because its so close to where im at with mine you guys are so lucky the performance mini scene is so strong over there i have noticed lohen mini is a big name in mods for you guys thinking of buying a heap of parts of them an getting them over here anyways keep your videos coming champ at least ill be interested cheers
Sorry Steven totally missed this, lots more mini vids to come! Lockdown hasn’t helped much but got some things lined up 😎
Had my mini mapped at lohen and straight away clutch slip so dint get a power figure in my n14,,don’t think n14 make the 280 mark but n18 do because of diffrent stronger newer engine..
Hey Jermaine, I remember we spoke about this at the time and that’s why I was very worried about how the clutch would cope! I’m unsure if it’s ever been replaced before I owned the car but it’s held up well so far :) did you manage to get yours sorted?
Subscriber count rn the same hp as it was pre map hahah
Haha great spot!
